I can't tell you how good that video was! I'm self building a garden room/workshop and i've just ordered some second hand bifolds for it. Thanks very much.
I built my shed/summer house before I found your videos and after watching them I am kicking myself for being so impatient, great videos, really enjoy them just for the entertainment value and the knowledge gained.
Liam, Its great to have the detailed guidance and you have a great back catalogue of this. But I'm sure most of us are just enjoying being out on site with you and your team and watching it a project come together.
Wow… looking to install a bifold in my Southern California home. The local aluminum bifold company that makes these in house is quoting $11,000. Another locks company for PVC style 8k. Checked the UK direct website for similar size 2400 British lb. Crazy. Jealous. Awesome video btw. Very informational. We’ll done.
Love the warts n' all commentary Liam! Just as it would be in real life and the explanation to the young lad as to why you do certain things answers a lot of the queries that "joe public" would also wonder about but would be too afraid to ask!! Cheers!!
Liam great video. This was by far the most informative tutorial on fitting bi-folds I have seen, well done. One thing I don’t think you mentioned the name of the lad filming with you 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Another Wonderful Job Liam and gang... Couldn`t stop laughing at the Door V Sleeper Wall lol, That would definitely be one of My tricks... So why didn`t You get Jen digging out the garden and move the wall back, I`m sure Customer would not have noticed :-) Well done Guys, Keep em coming and Keep er lit.
Would be good to have a rough estimate cost price per build pack size, giving indication to buyers if the build pack size they are considering buying is within their budget.
Unfortunately there is no ball park either, a price mentioned today, wouldn’t be relevant in a week at the rate things are going. Then I’ve the issue of a potential customer saying, why am I quoted this price when you said it was this price on TH-cam 🤷♂️ I was filling the vans for £80 this time last year, today I can squeeze 130 in them, all the builders merchants are increasing prices monthly, a timber pack in leeds will be around 45% more expensive in London. Too many variables to even mention cost tbh
Love how mad you was that the osb was slightly over hanging when i was doing my joinery aprenticeship i would of loved a mentor like you. Things like that realy anoy me too 😅
Would 450 DPC wrapped under the joist then in front of the osb and then under your bi-fold be the best thing to stop any rising damp from the patio and stop any future rotting? I take it you’ll be Wapping in breather membrane then cladding but what’s the finish detail under the bifold cill?
Just fit my new garage roof using EPDM rubber. Had loads of help from your channel with roof deck preparation and installing the new roof kit! Looking to do a garden Room in the future so this TH-cam channel is exactly what I need! Thanks for keeping up with this mega content mate!
I've a slightly unrelated question for you! On one of your previous video's you install the kingspan roofing panels, then you used the metal trim panels to create the corner covers wrapping around the complete corner. My question is which bloody video is this shown on as I've watched loads and loads but can't find where the sodding thing is shown. I've installed the kingspan panels on my roof and want to give it a good finished look. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏.
Question: In many of your builds you install opening "letterbox windows" for additional ventilation. Can I ask where you get them from? Most suppliers (including Express Bifolds) quote minimum dimensions of 500mm height. 500mm is huge for a letterbox window. Where do you source ~H300mm letterbox openers? Thanks.
We just miterbond the endcaps on, putting the glue on the inside lip, before spraying the sill, but i like the silicone way, keeps it all water-tight, am going to pinch that way off you, lol
Customer dug out and put the sleepers in, we came back after the weekend, he’d dug out more and moved the sleepers back. He did such a good job, you could only tell because the doors opened fully
Totally agree way too close to the ground , seems a bit of a bodge to me . But I assume the gentleman fitting the doors had no part in that side of the job
I really like your videos and the way you explain things, I really do. Just a couple of tips to improve your videos because I think you deserve: - change rhe microfone. When you are talking your voice is very low and it comes up and down a lot, when you use a drill is way louder because the microfone is closer to it. Just check a couple of them and see what suits you better. - stand for the phone, it is 20£ and you leave the phone in a better position when you need help in the video or need to leave the phone on the floor, there are models who can even be grapped in a stick usefully for medium high works (the heist of your chest or so). The last one, ask your camera to have a coffee before the videos, just teasing, he is not a movie maker, but need to be more "awake" sometimes. Take care mate. P.s: lovely feature the blinds, they don't get dirty but I hope they work forever because fixing them is not a easy job neither. 😉
Highly appreciate & thanks for taking time and sharing your skills and knowledge. A question, How did you cladd the rear of wall? I am assuming before installing the wall ?
Hi Liam. Just in the planning stages of a 7x4m garden room (with your build pack). For the footings, would you consider using Postcrete sacks for the M24 rods, or is this not strong enough? Postcrete is the simplest solution for me since I am building this alone(!). Thanks
When Liam did the build on his own, he explained that it isn’t really strong enough. You can buy single bags of 40kn concrete from builders merch. Good luck with your build.
@@zlock97 it's literally just threaded rod. Oakwood have videos on it here on YT. Or.... you could get the build pack that details exactly what you are asking (along with everything else)
I know its threaded rod 🤦♂️ amd i know its c sectiom steel... however i didmt know if theyre was a supplier that sold it all already pre drilled and cut to length

That was a brilliant film, thanks so much for taking the time to share the know how !!!

What about the OSB that is so close to the ground, won’t that rot over time?
Another brilliant video Liam
Would be good to have a rough estimate cost price per build pack size, giving indication to buyers if the build pack size they are considering buying is within their budget.
Think with the prices constantly shooting up
Would be impossible but a ball park would be decent

Thank you I learned so much, you are a great teacher.
Class these videos. Keep up the good work
Hey Liam love this vid! Q what’s the build for this with the 3m bi folds? 5m?
Yep, 5mtr that looks to be, possibly 5.5, with out watching it all mate 👍🏼
When fixing the sill to the deck are you drilling into concrete under the OSB?
Great video, I would run a circular saw along the top of the sleeper wall and do a rebate enough for doors to open
What’s the cameraman’s name?
Hi thank you , can i ask,, do you think there is any downside to internal blinds in double glazed units?
great videos liam, how much would these doors cost in the video.
Easier fix just Rebate plane to the wood that way you’ll get the clearance 😁 and save a load of work moving the sleepers back 👍

Did you release the bogey wheel spring prior to toe and healing ?
Liam, congratulations on the 70k subscribers!!! Expecting a series of celebratory TH-cam videos of a new build soon? 😀👍
That one crept up on me👀 video soon mate, promise
I really want to know how you resolved the issue of the doors hitting the garden wall ? Move the entire wall, or cut and plane the sleepers ?
Customer dug out and put the sleepers in, we came back after the weekend, he’d dug out more and moved the sleepers back. He did such a good job, you could only tell because the doors opened fully
What blade do you use in the saw?
Thank you for another great video. remind Davey to measure twice and cut once
Very good job ❤
Roughly how much do these cost to build start to finish
What steel work do you use above the doors?
160x80x5 hollow beam mate
Is there enough space between the bottom of the OSB board and the patio? Wouldn't heavy rain make the bottom edge wet?
Totally agree way too close to the ground , seems a bit of a bodge to me . But I assume the gentleman fitting the doors had no part in that side of the job
That gentleman designs and builds the whole project, he owns the company. Think he knows what he's doing😂

Everyone seems to be using this flex wrap tape for windows and doors but I don’t see this company using any is it really necessary?
Love the videos, have you ever done a house extension with the same style ?

Just wondering if you are fitting the garden rooms in the Liverpool area or are you just staying local , thanks
Just local mate atm
Ok cheers , do let me know if and when you change , thanks
Could your base framing system be used for low level decking?
Yes mate, we often use it for decking
Great video
Gr8 videos as normal do you have 2nd fix video 🙏
For internals?
Were can i order the rod system from? Looking to get it started asap
get their buildpack. I got one from them and it was great, had loads more detail and specific vendors you'll need.

Bapps bolts mate
They do the full kit, delivery nationwide
Thoroughly enjoyable watch as ever 👍🏻 Gotta ask those pencils, they rectangular shaped so they simply don't roll away?
I have forgotten the camera guys name anyone here can help me out?
Why don't you screw through the packers
got nothing better to do for the next 104 minutes so lets find out what's what then 😁
Fiver for a tube of silicone seal is crazy
Why couldn’t the doors be set back into the room slightly?
Cedar won’t be wide enough for the reveal , makes no difference where they are tbh, apart from our cedar won’t fit the depth of the reveal
Don’t use silicone use CT1 ..
Why wouldn’t you de-burr the cut?
Liam do I need to have a cill? I’m installing a single door on my build?
Preferably mate, or some other means of deflecting rain water running down the door, as it will want to seep in
Hi, your cill has no reinforceing in it
It’s aluminium not uPVC
@@jameswiggins3200 I know that, but as I worked in making uPVC we would buy in Aluminium bi-folds. They had reinforcing in their cills
It’s not required at all mate

I only fit Korniche Bi Fold Doors - they are far superior to these. Check them out!
