Hey Rob, I too started with the Bosch hedge trimmer, only because I got it for jobs at home before I went self employed. I also got a Husky chainsaw in the early nineties for home use. I was chatting to a contractor cutting hedges for the NHS who insist on using battery tools, mainly because I was thinking of moving into a battery setup. He wasn’t impressed as the batteries don’t last that long and take ages to recharge and that is if you are able to recharge them on site. Either that or you need to fork out for several battery sets to see you through the day.
Once you have several batteries you are set up pkus the fast chargers recharge them in 25 minutes tops. Used the stihl battery stuff for years now and would never go back to petrol. No noise, vibration, fumes, or starting issues due to bad fuel. Strimmers and blowers do gobble batteries but that can be down to how the operator uses the kit, but for hedge trimmers its a no brainer, easily get 2 to 3 hours cutting out of a medium battery.

As you know I've pretty much switched to battery now (Ego) for everything other than a mower. But your right. Battery is expensive to buy. If your starting out and you can afford battery. Then 100% go for it. If not, then petrol is your only alternative. Both have there pros and cons. But over all battery wins for me.
As for the wolf Gartden stuff. Yup. Quality stuff. I've got the pole, brush, rake, scarifier and weeder. (although I NEVER do any weeding these days). None the less. It's all quality stuff 👍
Thanks Gary , always appreciate your expertise regarding gardening equipment.
It’s a pity your not quite the expert when it come to holding your drink. Lol 😂
All the best my friend.
@@maxwellsgrasscuttingservices 🤣😂 I've no problem holding it. It's just the drinking bit I'm not very good at. 🙄 #lightweight
😂
Think that’s a Yucca rather than CordyLine but both are great plants.
Your right, thank you .👍🏻
Hi Rob. Which brush attachment is this one mate?
I use wolf garten click on attachments . It’s the wc 32 cm patio brush. I hope that helps. 👍🏻
@@maxwellsgrasscuttingservices nice one mate thanks.
Last cut of the season for me today. Wet slippy but had to be done.
Probably a cut or two for me on the south coast UK. I am quite often still cutting up to Christmas when I have to put the long trousers on😉
Pleased you managed to get a Final Cut done. All the best.
That’s brilliant. 👍🏻
Did you enjoy Saltex Rob?
Yes and No really. Met some great people. Other than that it was disappointing , not the Mecca that some people rave on about.
Video coming soon. All the best , have a great weekend.
You too Rob
525HE3 huskie rob best machine I have ever used never without it 👍👍
Brilliant, thank you.
I've heard from my service man that Husky parts are more expensive and harder to come by. Also, they are changing there business model to go mostly battery I believe.
Rob stop the petrol 😂come man get into the green world lol like me and I am a absolute dinosaur lol seriously when you get a chance its certainly worth looking a the Husqvarna battery as you seen in my latest video ..I cant believe the noise of the petrol ..yes I know you have all this petrol stuff and I did too and as soon as I saw the light I just went for it , ive a shed full of petrol that I will be off loading and you know Husqvarna still have the 20 % discount rate , yes 20 % maybe they might consider some trade ins as well ...what ever you do mate fine by me just though I would comment on this one lol...
Geoff, you talk absolute sense. However it doesn’t make financial sense at the moment as all my petrol equipment is doing great. That being said, I am off to the Stihl shop next week to look at battery equipment. I really like stihl as a brand.
Watch this space. All the best to you . 👍🏻
@@maxwellsgrasscuttingservices totally understand but also have a look at husky too just saying ,Rob you know what your doing and appreciate your feed back . From your aussie mate lik
Thanks Geoff, take care my friend. 👍🏻
@@maxwellsgrasscuttingservicesi only got the hla 56 as my hs45 (petrol) is very heavy.you need to to have the AP series to get the extra power & speed.& that's when the weight goes up (just my opinion mind) pull free starting,no fumes & less noise brilliant though 👍 battery will just get better & better so I'll probably reconsider as its definitely the future 😊
I agree with you, it’s the cost that puts me off.
May take the plunge next year.👍🏻
Frustrating not being allowed to top that hedge mate. Daft thing is it would've encouraged new growth, as well as kept it tidy.
I couldn’t agree with you more.
Yes, they just get thin and leggy if you let them grow unabated.
On the subject of battery tools- strimmers use loads of battery power but lack actual user power/torque. Hedgetrimmers- battery is good- no fumes and less vibes. We've a long way to go before petrol is replaced. P S. the camera made the gravel area look much bigger. Also i avoid kneeling down- hoes are your friend 😳
Brilliant, your so right.👍🏻
Petrol all the way for me too Rob, just cant afford the silly prices for Battery.
I agree with you 100 percent. All the best.
