This is perhaps my favourite episode. There is much to disagree with a lot of Andreyko's choices in his top ten, but he's such a great and fun guest and he qualifies his opinions. His points are all valid and he is great in a discussion. Hope he's in invited back.
Marc's list is totally bananas. He does not give one fig about public perception with those choices. Props for letting Matt and John go to town ripping them, as well. No one's list was close to mine. Superhero flicks really depend a lot on personal memories/connections to us comix fans, seem like.

Loved the show for the difference of opinions. And I respect Marc’s opinion, but mostly because he can defend it with eloquence and knowledge. But he is what I like to call a Double Nitpicker, someone who finds and uses small things to complain about movies everybody loves and ignores all the good, so he doesn’t like the movie. Pretty much. It's so fun hearing him defend his choices. But yeah, he thinks Amazing Spidey 2 is incredible because of the costume but thinks GOTG's quality is diminished by its sequel.
Black Panther is #1 for me, but I want to X-Men Dark Phoenix to be great but I have doubts. X-Men are my favorite superhero team of all time, but I'm more excited for their solo movies than their X-Men movies, after the last one I just have doubts.
Emmanuel Roberson Agreed. Beside The Last Stand and Apocalypse, every other X-Men titles are great. Hopefully The New Mutants continue the trend for Fox as being a surprising hit. Deadpool 2 with Cable and Domino has me so fucking hype. Dark Phoenix is still very scary for me cause it's Simon Kinberg's first time directing. Rumors are that it's pretty out there in terms of space but will still be grounded like X2 and DOFP. I'm scare for Dark Phoenix but want it to be great so bad. Skrull being introduced in DARK PHOENIX, can't wait how they'll handle that along going against Captain Marvel's Skrull....
Emmanuel Roberson Nothing wrong with Black Panther being your number 1. Black Panther looks cool but since it's Marvel you already know what you're going to get. A fun, comedic and generics formula with nothing at stake. That doesn't mean it won't be a great film but it's like we saw it before. As to Avengers Infinity War, It'll be our first time ever to see a big bad centering around many heroes. Marvel say Thanos will kind of be the main character so that's something different for us. Plus there's some character that we know won't make it pass the film so it'll surprise us.
I want X-men too be great, but I heard that Magneto and Mystique were going to be in the movie, I was like really, and its going to be grounded. Magneto and Mystique, have nothing too do with the Dark Phoenix story, and can we do a movie that actually focuses on the X-Men, not just Professor X, Magneto, Mystique, or Wolverine. X-Men have some of the greatest characters ever created and they are a team, lets focus on that. Not getting Michael Fassebender and Jennifer Lawrence to do a movie, that she doesn't want to be in her make-up too play Mystique by the way. X-Men sell themselves, not movie stars, and can they remember this movie is about Jean Grey.
My man's Marc needs to be a host of this show with John and Matt. Always love the show but in this one there was such in depth conversations that have real merit but there aren't traditional picks yet such an interesting listen and yes Marc watches more than just CB movies so don't say that lmao.
Easily one of the best discussions on Marvel movies I've heard. Huge props to all of you for this. Gonna go ahead and post my long-winded list, for shits & giggles... 1 - Deadpool Don't care that it's new school. Don't care that it's got dick humor in it. For my taste, it is a very faithful adaptation, which took 10+ years to culminate...and screams perfection, even in its weakest moments. 2 - Logan One of the most realistically written and beautifully portrayed set of super-powered people ever on a screen. This and the above masterpiece are the only 2 entries from Fox's X-Men franchise that will appear on this list. Nuff said. 3 - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1 This movie made me not only enjoy, but actually care about characters I never gave a second thought, in comic reading. Excellent soundtrack, hilarious and full of heart...and the largest death count of any movie...ever. Easy #3. 4 - Blade: Trinity Probably the first super unpopular choice on the list...and easy to figure out why I like it, considering my #1 pick. RR's Hannibal King character is widely touted by RR, himself, as a stepping stone to Deadpool...as this is where he was made aware of, and eventually grew to love the comic...as well as got his foot in the door with Marvel, in order to have it made, after a lot of time and effort. Beyond just that, I love the entire Blade series of films, all for different reasons...and I watch all 3 once a year or so. 5 - Captain America: Civil War It was a tough decision between this and Winter Soldier for this spot, but as much as I love that one...Civil War is just such a fun movie to watch and rewatch. It just doesn't get old for me. I'm trying to limit myself to 1, per "character arc", so this would be the #1 Captain America movie, for me. 6 - Doctor Strange Funny...I actually 100% agree with Andrayko, about Cumberbatch's accent in this film...but, everything else about it was so perfect, for me, that I am able to overlook it. I love the visual, mystical elements used here, and the fight scenes are incredible. Doctor Strange has been a favorite of mine since I was young, and I thought they really did the vibe and turmoil of the character justice. 7 - The Avengers Arguably, the best ensemble superhero film in current existence. I still get chills, when I watch it, and see them all get together. Another big part of this for me is Coulson, and his death. Although they later retcon it in Agents of Shield, (which I also love), the impact of this happening, at the time...was huge, for me. Just a great film, all the way around. 8 - Ant-Man Love all the characters here, and I was always bewildered as to why these guys were not part of the beginning of the Avengers, (as they are in the comics). Seemed a strange decision to me...but either way, this movie has some great mini-effects, as well as a solid heist story. Super funny, and well worth the #8 spot. 9 - The Amazing Spider-Man Does anyone else wish we could put Tom Holland's Spider-Man in THIS movie, instead of the high-tech, social media-driven one he's in? Don't get me wrong...I love Homecoming. But I 100% agree with Andrayko on the point that the lack of his spider-sense, traded off for a super-sensory talking suit just didn't fly, for me. I do like Holland better as Spidey than Garfield, but The Amazing Spider-Man is the closest thing to a perfect wallcrawler movie we have ever gotten. 10 - Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Yep, I know...wtf am I thinking...blah, blah. Something about this movie is just great to me. I can't really explain it. I love Cage, even at his cheeesiest, and with supporting cast ranging from Idris Elba to Ciaran Hinds to Christopher Lambert...this movie has always just really struck a chord with me. I really don't care much, that 90% of people hate it.

As to Avengers Infinity War, It'll be our first time ever to see a big bad centering around many heroes. Marvel say Thanos will kind of be the main character so that's something different for us. Plus there's some character that we know won't make it pass the film so it'll surprise us.
I want X-men too be great, but I heard that Magneto and Mystique were going to be in the movie, I was like really, and its going to be grounded. Magneto and Mystique, have nothing too do with the Dark Phoenix story, and can we do a movie that actually focuses on the X-Men, not just Professor X, Magneto, Mystique, or Wolverine. X-Men have some of the greatest characters ever created and they are a team, lets focus on that. Not getting Michael Fassebender and Jennifer Lawrence to do a movie, that she doesn't want to be in her make-up too play Mystique by the way. X-Men sell themselves, not movie stars, and can they remember this movie is about Jean Grey.

My man's Marc needs to be a host of this show with John and Matt. Always love the show but in this one there was such in depth conversations that have real merit but there aren't traditional picks yet such an interesting listen and yes Marc watches more than just CB movies so don't say that lmao.

Gonna go ahead and post my long-winded list, for shits & giggles...
1 - Deadpool
Don't care that it's new school.
Don't care that it's got dick humor in it.
For my taste, it is a very faithful adaptation, which took 10+ years to culminate...and screams perfection, even in its weakest moments.
2 - Logan
One of the most realistically written and beautifully portrayed set of super-powered people ever on a screen. This and the above masterpiece are the only 2 entries from Fox's X-Men franchise that will appear on this list. Nuff said.
3 - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1
This movie made me not only enjoy, but actually care about characters I never gave a second thought, in comic reading. Excellent soundtrack, hilarious and full of heart...and the largest death count of any movie...ever. Easy #3.
4 - Blade: Trinity
Probably the first super unpopular choice on the list...and easy to figure out why I like it, considering my #1 pick. RR's Hannibal King character is widely touted by RR, himself, as a stepping stone to Deadpool...as this is where he was made aware of, and eventually grew to love the comic...as well as got his foot in the door with Marvel, in order to have it made, after a lot of time and effort. Beyond just that, I love the entire Blade series of films, all for different reasons...and I watch all 3 once a year or so.
5 - Captain America: Civil War
It was a tough decision between this and Winter Soldier for this spot, but as much as I love that one...Civil War is just such a fun movie to watch and rewatch. It just doesn't get old for me. I'm trying to limit myself to 1, per "character arc", so this would be the #1 Captain America movie, for me.
6 - Doctor Strange
Funny...I actually 100% agree with Andrayko, about Cumberbatch's accent in this film...but, everything else about it was so perfect, for me, that I am able to overlook it. I love the visual, mystical elements used here, and the fight scenes are incredible. Doctor Strange has been a favorite of mine since I was young, and I thought they really did the vibe and turmoil of the character justice.
7 - The Avengers
Arguably, the best ensemble superhero film in current existence. I still get chills, when I watch it, and see them all get together. Another big part of this for me is Coulson, and his death. Although they later retcon it in Agents of Shield, (which I also love), the impact of this happening, at the time...was huge, for me. Just a great film, all the way around.
8 - Ant-Man
Love all the characters here, and I was always bewildered as to why these guys were not part of the beginning of the Avengers, (as they are in the comics).
Seemed a strange decision to me...but either way, this movie has some great mini-effects, as well as a solid heist story. Super funny, and well worth the #8 spot.
9 - The Amazing Spider-Man
Does anyone else wish we could put Tom Holland's Spider-Man in THIS movie, instead of the high-tech, social media-driven one he's in? Don't get me wrong...I love Homecoming. But I 100% agree with Andrayko on the point that the lack of his spider-sense, traded off for a super-sensory talking suit just didn't fly, for me. I do like Holland better as Spidey than Garfield, but The Amazing Spider-Man is the closest thing to a perfect wallcrawler movie we have ever gotten.
10 - Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
Yep, I know...wtf am I thinking...blah, blah.
Something about this movie is just great to me. I can't really explain it. I love Cage, even at his cheeesiest, and with supporting cast ranging from Idris Elba to Ciaran Hinds to Christopher Lambert...this movie has always just really struck a chord with me. I really don't care much, that 90% of people hate it.
Bring Marc back! I loved listening to him on the top ten show!!! It's great.
Great episode! Andreyko has convinced me to go back and give Hulk and Amazing Spiderman 2 another watch. Really great passion and I love some of the points he made.
