I just bought an 05 G35 yesterday with this issue. It shows the code for the pedal position sensor. Not sure if you can but also check to see if the crankshaft and camshaft sensors have been replaced. Usually you will get a code for these when they go bad but not all the time. I didn’t get a code when my crankshaft was going bad.
I’m hoping I get a response but my g35 is doing the exact same thing as the first comment and I replaced my crank sensor with the oem brand and it didn’t fix it and I’ve replaced it several times but I have a apps code and no cam codes so I’m hoping a new assembly will fix my car and my P1229 code

When you were having this problem, did your gas pedal feel weak at sometimes that you would press the gas slowly all the way down, and your car wouldn't accelerate at a high power, but as you let the gas pedal go and press the gas pedal it would take off and have more power ? Yeah mine is delayed no torque and won't go pass 90mph. Any suggestions? I was thinking it was the cool air intake after market sucks to much air? Or will it be what you replaced?

When my car is cold it has all power but when it warms upp it loses power . Itll sound loud like its going but it isnt really moving anywhere . Is that the same issue you had ?
My issue was that when I press the gas pedal at times, it would rev up but not have power. Then I’ll let off of it and press the pedal again and it may rev up again or kick in and give me power. Sometimes I will get power right when the RPM’s are around 3k-4K. That sucks because it will goose on me so I always have to have the VDC on.
