Ahhh so glad to see you do more U2 reactions!! This made my day! I’ve been a fan of them literally most of my life but it still manages to surprise me how much they can change their sound and the 4 videos you picked really highlighted that. Also you were so real about the goosebumps when Bono and Edge sing together, EVERY TIME!! Would love to see you react to their song and video “Love is bigger than anything in its way” it’s so beautiful! 🖤
You have put 3 of my 4 recommendations! Brilliant! This version of 'Please' is very beautiful but the album version impresses me even more, more raw and powerful. 'Sometimes...' is beautiful, in concert it was amazing. The only one missing was 'Original of the Species', a sublime song. And I'll add for the next one 'If God Will Send His Angels', 'Window in the Skies' and 'City of Blinding Lights', three other great songs.
Ooop...U2 reaction day, and i just opened a wine! Woo hoo!!! A sort of Homecoming is my favorite song from this collection, and Sometimes is my favorite video of the collection. Great selection of songs here! Please is just a masterpiece.....as is POP.
Great reactions to the videos. Since you enjoyed "Please" a lot, you may want to check out the live version from the Popmart tour, in Mexico. It is mesmerizing! Here is a link for a video that has Please, with a great transition into a different treatment of Where The Streets Have No Name. It's low quality video, but you get the feel. There are higher quality videos, but it's the full concert. th-cam.com/video/P8_v0hoRx4A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jaspUK23PhhY6uM3
Thank You for such great U2 reaction vids!! Your takes on the sonics & the visuals are spot on!! If you are becoming curious about the band’s history & what inspired Bono in particular you would enjoy his audiobook, Surrender. He writes prose like he writes lyrics…it’s a fun & fantastic journey!! I look forward to you checking out more live performances!!! They are truly a LIVE band!!
POP is outstanding. Not an official video for it, but would love to hear your reaction to Wake Up Dead Man from POP. One of several U2 songs about their struggle with religion. And just so damn good. You’re still the best reactioner out there. Thank you!
This version is from the European Music Awards (I think), and it's just plain fantastic. Much better than the studio version: th-cam.com/video/GUEGemac00w/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GjvXzIEUrJVG5gL5
Hi Bryson, it's been a lengthy minute since I have commented, too long for sure. I hope you are doing great! Thank you for sharing this video, delving into another four U2 music videos. I enjoyed it thoroughly, thank you. The selection is wonderfully eclectic - a couple of excellent tracks from U2's early to mid 80's development, and a couple of gems from their more versatile, exciting and experimental mid to late 90's. I wholeheartedly agree with you, U2's "Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own" & "Please" are my two favourite videos/songs regarding this batch, but of course I truly love the beautiful hauntingly effervescent song "A Sort of Homecoming" and I really like the energetic impetus driving a fun track such as "Gloria". Again, Bryson, thank you - your videos always lift my spirits. Oh, and yeah; *I prefer you reading the lyrical elaboration from "lyric genius" during the video!* 😊
I can't hear "sometimes you can't make it on your own" without tears. it popped up on my feed two days after my father died a couple years ago and i fell to pieces
Keep doing the lyric deeper dive. U2 like a lot of bands are popular not just for the music but the lyrics. Glad to see you back doing U2 videos reviews!
Welcome back to the U2 material! Someone else mentioned Moment of Surrender… take the live version from the U2 at the Rose Bowl show. Not only is it an incredible song, but it’s the only time I know of where Bono raps…. From the same show, the live version of Ultraviolet is STUNNING.
Love that you're back to U2 and Depeche Mode! Two of my all time favorite bands! I recommend Every Breaking Wave, Love is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way, The Wanderer and Ultraviolet Live from 360!
With U2, it's almost impossible to decide which to listen and react too, either the studio version or the live version. The drumming on Please always impresses me. A good selection from different era's the band has gone through.
"Gloria" was the second single from the album "October" (1981). The album features some of *MY PERSONAL FAVOURITES* such as: "Tomorrow" (second song Bono wrote for his mother), "October" (little but very beautiful title track), and "Is That All?" (very energetic & quite *ANGRY* final song; features the *GUITAR RIFF* from the song "The Cry" - the song they used to play at the very introduction to "The Electric Co." - the song from their debiut album "Boy" (1980)).
I absolutely agree. I think it’s Bono’s best vocals ever if that’s possible. The performance at the MTV awards that same year is pretty incredible as well! 🥰
Hi mate love your reactions as you watch ask questions about songs etc to your audience an they're genuine always👍. Regarding 1st track A Sort of Homecoming its a live version but maybe edited from a few shows. The studio version is different ish. When live its kind of a different arrangement thats how they would do it. Its off the album The Unforgettable Fire which has the song on with the same name that you loved in your reaction a while ago. Keep rocking dude❤✌️
When I heard Please first I didn’t care for it, but it grew onto me so much, that it’s now one of my favorites. The reason probably is, that I was living back then in Germany and didn’t understand the lyrics yet. Please keep up reacting to the lyrics. Especially with U2, it’s so important, because their poetry is magical
Great reaction. As always I feel the need to say that you MUST check out All I Want Is You/Where The Streets Have No Name - Live from Slane Castle. You will thank me later, I promise.
Van Morrison is a north Irish singer/songwriter in the Folk/Country genre active through the decades since the 60s, Patti Smith an American (NYC) Singer/Songwriter shaped by the psychedelic 60s music and Co-inventor of Punk music. Both had a song Gloria, Patti Smiths is a cover of the Van Morrison one.
Please is my absolute favorite and the most underrated song in the whole wide world.

Actually I feel like you've done Every Breaking Wave already, I recommend All I Want is You live from the BBC 2017 it's HAUNTING
Especially love "Gloria" back from my college years. ... Yes, please keep looking up the lyrics and comments on Genius and giving your insights.
With U2, it's almost impossible to decide which to listen and react too, either the studio version or the live version.

I recommend "Every Breaking Wave " live on The BBC Later with Jools Holland . Bono's vocals absolutley amazing

It was nice to watch your reaction to some of those words landing on you. Blood in their music. 👍✌️
Love this series! They’re my fav band ever! All these picks are fantastic, and Please is very underrated
Thank you!
Great choices ...
Great selection of songs to react to!
I recommend reacting to the clip
u2: If God Will Send His Angels (offical music video), one of their most successful and underrated works.
Beautiful song!
@@LoriSprings Video also, especially in the end.
Have you reviewed "40" or Moment of Surrender? Live versions only, please.

That first one is live. The studio sounds somewhat different and has more verses to it. Still great either way 🥰
