Don’t know why, but many people still think that OPM as a whole is just parody all the time when it’s really not. OPM is a pretty serious story with serious development that started as a parody of superheroes with some comedy here and there. Incredible that some people still believe that Saitama’s sole purpose is to be a joke/relief when we have scenes like this... ONE (the author) is doing a great job with all the characters and taking them seriously in the Web-Comic (future seasons 4, 5 and 6 of OPM) without leaving his great story-telling and situational comedy.
9:40 I legit get teary-eyed every time I watch this part as well. Suiryu, as arrogant and douchey as he is, has a really nice arc this episode that ends in him being so vulnerable, begging for help. I tear up for the guy.
I loved this episode, but I wish that they’d kept in the part where Bakuzan tries to get Suiryu to lick his toe and Suiryu breaks it with one arm while half dead. It showed a bit more defiance from him and had he been at full strength when he fought Bakuzan, he would have stood a decent chance of winning (although it wasn’t guaranteed). Gouketsu was clearly above both of them though.
Suyrui getting beaten was an emotional part of the storytelling.maybe what he's faced and seeing others come to his aid will get him to change his perspective of being selfish and thinking of only his self. I.e becoming a hero! Also the most emotional part of the episode and your husband cracking jokes and laughing threw me off! 😏

I think you can see that some of important themes in One punch man as a series is the idea of being humble and the idea of being brave. Most of the characters started either thinking that they were the best in the world or being weak/cowards but eventually learned to be humble or to be brave despite their weaknesses thanks to Saitama in some way or another.
Suiryu dub voice was really good too i really liked it. Both sub and dub scenes were really impactful to me i remember it was pretty dark and hard to watch when i first saw it
I think its funny that saitama is so strong, that people start naming powers he doesn't have assuming he does lol... He's not superman lmao he doesn't have super hearing lol.
Actually, Saitama's senses are enhanced, do to his likely super healthy body, just not overpowered like his strength is. He was able to hear chatter a good distance away while he was fighting a monster and he can see exceptionally well in the dark as he was able to spot Tareo during the raid on the Monster Association's headquarters. It is unknown how powerful his sense of smell, touch, taste, and sixth (spiritually aware) are.
i totally understand you kacee, that moment was very emotional to me, too - i guess it's not about Suiryu specifically, but the way he was crying for help being desperatly in pain, man, that was hard to bear

I love the analysis you guys do when the episode is over, adds a lot to the experience, plus you seem to have a lot of contact with pop culture and anime, so this makes the whole reaction a lot more interesting and cool, One Punch Man is comedy and action, but also has a lot of interesting lore and some really well done characters, and arcs. So it's being great to follow your reactions, and you both are very charismatic and funny.

I have seen this episode twice and it got me both times. Mostly because soroyus transforms from this strong tough guy, to a normal vulnerable man crying out for a hero to help him and he does sound so terrified and that saitama shows up makes me feel so happy. It also makes one feel that you wished someone like saitama would be there for you too in your hour of need. For that same reason i love the heroes like snake and ofcourse mumen rider because he has that genuine feel that he will save you even if it would cost him his life.

At this episode you see that all the hero speech Suiryu gave to Saitama was for nothing. At the end he just recognize that even he need a hero to save him in moment of true despair :)
The voice actors, the story, and the music saved this season, it’s incredible how they can carry the (season 2) studio, the directing isn’t the best and the art is awful, but that’s the magic of One and Murata, they make the narrative so interesting!
The main reason for an anime is the story, everything else is just a bonus. Tank the webcomic for example that is the main source material and the art is bad, but since it has a good story it was adapted into a manga and anime. As for the art I'm confused on why you say it's awful, it's looks pretty much the same to me unless you meant the animation which again I wouldn't say it's bad but it's not anywhere near the talent that was shown in season 1
@@vicentegeonix I was giving my opinion, and I wasn’t saying it aggressively, I know we were spoiled in Season 1, but i’m not even judging it or comparing it to the standards of the first season, I am going off of its own episodes, and you can see how they directed it was terrible, they skipped so many scenes, and made it seemed fast paced. The animation quality drops at random moments, there are lines that aren’t traced too well, and the sound effects they put were a joke, I swear I heard the same punching sound from the first episode all the way to the last. The point is I still enjoyed it, I still love the One Punch Man series, but you can’t be serious, and let so much slide, they rushed their work and didn’t put effort, I really wish they had taken more time to perfect it. And i’m only stating the obvious flaws, I bet you there are still so many problems the studio had while making Season 2, but I didn’t even catch them, because I wasn’t looking for nit picky things, the others were just plain out shown or given.

I think part of the reason Garou is having so much trouble with Watch Dog Man is because WDM is a skilled quadrupedal fighter, where as Garou is used to fighting bipeds.
Garou doesn't know how to use his Matial arts well against watch dog man's Animal matial arts so he had to rely on just his physicals which didn't end well.
Everyone loves watchdog man he's the furry with the fury. But the king is about to show up so it'll be over shortly cuz when you hear his heart go drum drum you know you better run run the poor fools don't know what hit them.
This episode and the next are just so visceral and emotional. The character of Suiryu had such a lightning fast development, but a believable one. No wonder these scenes make you shed a tear, everytime I watch them I feel the same.
Just wait for the last three episodes to see why this season got carried by the goat, who carried the whole season not to seem like an utter disaster because of the studio.
