Hi y’all, good to see you. Epica dropped a new video yesterday, The Code of Live. You have done that song before, but this video is great, it’s at the concert I was at.
I like Tarja and I'm uncomfortable that the song was aimed at her, but I dont think it's JUST aimed at her. Like all songs and art in general, the receiver can put their own interpretation on it, which is equally valid. It could be about a number of volatile relationship breakups. I DO like the song a lot taken on its own merits. It's a good angry stonking rock song. And the video is great.
The only right decision to cross this song off the set list forever - but it would have been even better if it had never been written! It's also the only Nightwish song that never made it onto my playlist.
