Great reaction. I'm glad you also watched the video giving background information. If you liked this one, I think you might also like Sabaton's song "White Death" about Simo Häyhä, who's credited as the soldier with the most sniper kills in history.
🇫🇮❤you reacting to this song about one of the best military warriors in history from Finland born Lauri Törni, but he changed his name when joining the U.S. military.
BTW i highly recommend watching this movie. Its the highest produced movie ever made in Finland, and it has the world record for most high explosives used in a single shot. Took our grandpa to see it before he passed, great memory.
For how famous he was in "Green Berets" 10th Special Forces Group headquarters in Fort Carson is named after him and they also have annual Larry Thorne award.
Nice you looked into the history of the song.👍 This is from the 2014 album, Heroes. Chris Rorland was there but Tommy didn't join until 2016,Thobbe Englund was the other guitarist then. It Was the first album with Hannes on drums though.
it was interesting to hear this: "In the 1965 book The Green Berets by Robin Moore, the "Sven Kornie" (or Captain Steve Kornie) main character in the first chapter was based on Thorne."
That was basically political scapegoating controlledd by Soviets with Finland having been but under influense of Stalin by western countries, who did epic scale fuck up in supporting Stalin/Soviet Union, who was Hitler's accomplice in starting WW2.
Green baret movie. Some says its Larry Thorn(Lauri Allan Törni)We all Finish health and mental health men go to army.I am sergeant in reserve army of Finland.
Hey! Thanks for doing these react videos, greetings from Finland! What do u guys think to do react Hurriganes - Get on or I will stay or Only one🔥Hurriganes is old Finnish rock n roll band😎
And one truly Finnish really old (already long time ago passed away) legend by his voice Olavi Virta. He sings in finnish but The songs like Hopeinen kuu or Vihreät niityt etc are worth of listening😊🔥
Yes there have been several soldiers that have beeing in several armies , Like August von Mackensen , Born in 1849-1945 and served the prussian army during the Franco prussian war , then served the german imperial army and was a german field marshal during ww1 , and retired from the army in 1920 , when it was the weimar republic . Served 3 armies , lived in 5 different nations . Prussia , German empire , Weimar republic , Nazi germany , and west germany .
@@markoruotsalainen1161 Not realy prussia and germany 2 total different entities .And tottaly different armies . and traveling further than the sea , not really a great achievement is it . Just like Rear admiral van Kingsbergen ,Served the dutch republic in the army then the dutch republics navy ,VOC fighting in the east indies , danish navy , The russian imperial Navy fighting the russo ottoman wars , Leading russian cossacks army in the Russo ottoman wars . And then beeing pressed in to service of the French navy as flag officer. under napoleon . So if you want to talk traveling the seas and fighting in different countries armies and navies there are tons of them . So please stop thinking that there was only 1 soldier that served 3 armies.

Great song about a great man, I really like this song, one of my all time favorites from Sabaton 🙂

Awesome reaction. Lauri Allan Törni was a staunch anti communist and a patriot. Its sad really how bad he was treated by his native land.
That was basically political scapegoating controlledd by Soviets with Finland having been but under influense of Stalin by western countries, who did epic scale fuck up in supporting Stalin/Soviet Union, who was Hitler's accomplice in starting WW2.
Not Tommy on guitar in this one. He had not joined Sabaton at the time
Thank you for the info, didnt know that at the time
Kiitos!

Served the same country under a different name, and never traveled further than the sea. Can't be compared on any level in the same way like Törni.

He didnt like commies...
Crazy to think this man fought in The Winter War, WW2, and Vietnam
He was the only SS officer to be on the Vietnam war memorial
