We didn't have a chance to do this when Joker first dropped, but with Aftermath coming out next week we thought it was a good time to comb through Joker's intros and find the references. There were actually a lot less references to previous Joker incarnations then I thought, and a lot more from other Netherrealm games. Either way, lots of fun. Hope you enjoy!
10:52 out of all of the hundreds, possibly thousands, of examples where Batman has shown himself to be a "jerk with no sense of humor," you have chosen a clip from. The one time that anyone familiar with the Joker knows Batman laughs? Cool cool cool cool cool coolcoolcoolcoolcool
the "you stole my face" comment could also be a reference to the fact that Shang Tsung had the uncensored version of Jokers Fatality from MK Vs DC in MK9
But more weirder that Joker said "Mission Accomplished" in one of his lines, then later Rambo appeared. Is MK11 some foreshadowing for guest characters??
The Manitou Raven and Apache Chief lines are actually two references. The latter is rightly from the Superfriends, but the former is actually the canonized DC comics version from the mid aughts. Inukchuk!
Lol yeah, I didn't want to use it, but it's the only example that wasn't copyrighted. Ironic that he does actually laugh there, but it drives home Joker's point at least
Joker vs. Shujinko: Joker: Ever been an April Fool? Shujinko: I danced for Onaga like his puppet. Joker: Guess the joke is on you, then. (Joker tried to commit crimes on April Fools Day in the animated series' The Last Laugh) Joker vs. Stryker: Joker: Gordon's got a new badge for you, I think. Stryker: Just how many times have you escaped the big house? Joker: Try to incarcerate me in durance vile for the rest of my life! (reference to what Joker said in The Joker Trumps an Ace in Batman 1960s)
Um I’m gonna need another example of Johnny referring as himself as the clown prince of crime, what you showed me was Johnny Carisma doing a ‘duet’ with Batman while Robin was defusing the bombs. It’s from Batman Arkham Knight.
So, I'm just having fun with the idea of Mark Hamill's Joker and Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa's Shang Tsung on the same battlefield. OK, the Apache Chief reference was an obvious one, but throw in Manitou Raven? DAMN, that's obscure. Ok, they did kinda miss an opportunity for Joker to respond with "Yes I am, and they are lucky to have me...back home," on the Kano one. EDIT: I got fooled by the voice. Richard Epcar really does a good Mark Hamill Joker impression.
10:24 is that a reference to The Dark Knight? BTW, I always thought the hospital scene where Joker refers to himself as an "Agent of Caos" was itself a reference to Get Smart, wich had a movie adaptation the same year (2008) and was also made by Warner Bros. The villains in Get Smart are agents from an organization called KAOS. In fact, the Get Smart movie had a scene in Russia where people were watching Batman Begins on TV. Sinergy!!!
This got me thinking why do we all like the Joker this much, in essence he is a horrible person who has been portrayed committed heinous crimes against humanity and sanity all for sake of a joke, what the hell is wrong with me
Gamers playground you maybe gonna be happy or fun with this game this game is called thief is a gameplay its very fun game make it buy the game and put it on yourube game little bit same please

I love joker but I'm not aloud to watch it!!!
The last one, priceless.
“Whatever you say, robo-cop.” Sounds like foreshadowing to me

Oh yeah.
Before Aftermath: Ha! He made a reference to RoboCop!
After Aftermath: W A I T , H E ‘ S A C T U A L L Y I N T H E G A M E ? ? ?
Lol
They change the dialogue after aftermath to officer
It’s wierd that they first made a robocop reference and now he is actually in the game, he will not like Jax stilling his line
Wanted: Jackson Briggs
Grand theft catchphrase
But more weirder that Joker said "Mission Accomplished" in one of his lines, then later Rambo appeared.
Is MK11 some foreshadowing for guest characters??
Every time he walks in in his intro, it just reminds me of the museum scene of Nicholson's Joker
Seeing all these intros, it makes me think that the designers should have used a crowbar instead of a cane.
One of the canes is a crowbar. You just have to unlock it.
Gotta love Joker
He's the best
"Love that Joker!" - from the '89 movie.
I love the refferences to the animated Killing Joke movie.
Is it just me or i actually laugh at joker's jokes
Get some help.
The Manitou Raven and Apache Chief lines are actually two references. The latter is rightly from the Superfriends, but the former is actually the canonized DC comics version from the mid aughts. Inukchuk!
11:10 Batman actually laughs in that scene
I’ve searched for that comment
I wish with the Terminator they gave him his Mr. Freeze attire.
11:10 in that movie batman does laugh with the joker🤣 and it was just so weird to me I wonder if anyone else was weirded out by it 🤣
Lol yeah, I didn't want to use it, but it's the only example that wasn't copyrighted. Ironic that he does actually laugh there, but it drives home Joker's point at least
@@glp There's some theories that explains Batman kills Joker while laughing, although isn't very clear. Kind of an ambiguous ending.
So the Joker is a Hideo Kojima fan and a Trekkie.... OK love him even more 😍
That one with dr. Fate was a reference inside a reference. An agent of chaos from the dark knight.
The content is actually good
6:45 We need a boy scout like him. Especially the state of the world.
Your vids are amazing! I love your determination to make 15 hour long vids. You are one of my favorite youtubers.
9:52 nice reference within a reference lol
Joker looks like a teenager in Injustice 2. I guess it must be his hair.
‘War paint’ could also be a reference to how the hired goons describe Joker in The Dark Knight.
Legendary references
Nice, i love your videos🙂🙂

Such great references
9:50 lol a star trek reff in a dc game being reffed in a MK game, only the joker. 🤣
While being voiced by a Star Wars actor, no less.
2097Pyros wait, was he voiced by mark or Richard in that game?
KKKKHHHHHAAAAANNNNNNN!!!!!!!

In the Six Flags ride Battle for Metropolis, The Joker literally calls Superman the Big Blue Boy Scout
you forgot two references of Joaquin Phoenix :)
Yea I was one of the people fooled into believing that the hospital scene was not scripted to have a explosion halt. Bummer
9:53 He had to say it...
You see it's not about the money, it about sending a message.
Joker/Shang Tsung is also a reference to Shang Tsung’s MK9 fatality
out of every clip you could have used for Batman not laughing, you chose the ONE moment where he laughs at Joker's jokes
Lol I know man, but for some reason this one wasn't copyrighted. So I just manipulated the footage to dit the point
keep in mind that shazam was still called captain marvel in dc vs mortal kombat
10:24 is that a reference to The Dark Knight?

Sinergy!!!
Dawg, Dark Kahn reference with Star Trek Kahn reference? Not bad Joker
Say what you want about MKvsDC but Joker was still Joker.
Rest In Peace The Dark Knight Joker
I just found out Joker predicted Robocop for MK11 in this video
The scorpion one is in my opinion the best and funniest
That was amazing 😆😆😆
Jax predicted Robocop and we didn’t even notice.
I have to paint my face to become the joker!
Not too sure if that one scene of superman counts as being an insufferable boy scout.
Awesome
in EVERY game where he says why serious, yeah we all know where its from
This got me thinking why do we all like the Joker this much, in essence he is a horrible person who has been portrayed committed heinous crimes against humanity and sanity all for sake of a joke, what the hell is wrong with me
Dead in a flash 😂😂😂😂
You forgot about bloody smile just like what Joaquin Phoenix did in Joker
1:45 xD can't stop
And you didn't show Batman laughing to that killing joke.
Joker would appreciate the irony
Had to manipulate it to fit my narrative 😉
Does this mean Joker survived Injustice somehow?
kano looks extra terminatorish in mk vs dc
BTW Nice using ag least one Mark Hammel Joker.
Can you please play a full game
Love that joker
It's kinda weird that I saw another TH-camr do the exact same video but its probably just same thinking
Been watching since the first vid
How do ya get that Sonya skin?
I didn’t see the outride song in the description. Anyone know what it is?
I miss pat as scorpions voice! :/
So mk vs dc confirmed seriously?
i Lova joker
sad, no recent joker ref
9:52 HILARIOUS
Johnny Cage
In my opinion Heath ledger is the best joker do you agree with me?
Nope he is the most overrated joker
he say the bats has no humour and yet this guy uses a movie part where batman laugh alot to the dumb joke
Khaaaaaaaan!
The way I see it... He truly deserve second place of most popular villains.. I would like to place him first but Vader is just Vader...
9:45 10:32
Whose joker va
Richard Epcar, you'll already know him as Raiden
@@RedJLP Huh. That's a damn good Mark Hamill impression he's doing....
Gamers playground you maybe gonna be happy or fun with this game this game is called thief is a gameplay its very fun game make it buy the game and put it on yourube game

Yeah, we've actually played that for the channel. Was a long long time ago though. Definitely was a decent game
