It appears Johnny Cage took the title “man of culture” extremely literally as he’s basically Earthrealm’s pop culture machine for any Outworlders trying to learn about their culture.
When they referenced Alien and Kung Lao said "Excuse me?!" That also be a reference to Holes. Sigourney Weaver repeatedly said the words "Excuse me?" in that movie.

That ending clip hets cut before several other references, the Vampires that attack are called the "Kalima" which is the name of the god and the incantation phrase used in *_Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom_* to rip out someone's heart. Additionally, he throws and catches that shield like Captain America.
