This is just what I needed.. I could never figure out what/when/how to incorporate propolis when I randomly bought the iUnik sleeping mask years ago. I'm so relieved that I can also pair it with niacinamide since I wasn't sure but did so anyway. Good to know they pair well together! I'm glad I'm getting a clear breakdown thanks to this video-- cause I was still confused when I read some articles before about it, since it seems it's not as covered in Western skincare. Interesting that royal jelly is also a form of propolis.. I remember, I also bought a cleanser years ago with royal jelly (before I kept hearing the term 'propolis' being more popular in skincare now). That cleanser is really good too and now I know it's due to the royal jelly in it. I got lucky with both random purchases (I bought it since the brands seemed good) before I even knew about looking for ingredients... P. S. Can we pair retinol w/ propolis?? I've done it before w/ the iUnik sleeping mask but not really sure if it's ok. Please let me know if we can pair propolis w/ retinol for an overnight skincare application! 😬
What a lucky purchase😆 And, yes you can use propolis with retinol. While retinol's working on your skin, propolis keeps the skin hydrated and minimizes the likelihood of unwanted side effects that can come with retinoids, such as dryness and flaking! :)
