I bought a transalp after a very long debates in my head, the reasons being 1. Service centres 2. Weight 3. Perfect riding triangle 4. More affordable service cost 5. Better wind protection 6. An option to install the african twin's tubeless rims 7. Better foot pegs position
V strom over Transalp is a bit of a difficult question to answer. The handling is very different on off roads, nobody talks about the weight difference between the two bikes. Transalp is really beautiful. As regards, comparing the capability of Vstrom, Transalp and Tiger, while on paper everything looks similar ... you are right... (albeit theoretically) about how similar capability they have, but compare the sheer presence of Tigers on roads and offroads with these middle weights.. the difference is worth it, if in budget. The third cylinder adds excellent character as well.
Honda being Honda linear power delivery not so quick like Tiger or what V Strom atleast feels. Absolutely, it is difficult to choose between V Strom and Transalp bt you will not take time to choose between Transalp and Tiger. Well I am waiting for the KTM 890 ADV then things will surely gonna heat up more. Fingers crossed for KTM launch 😂
@@arvindrapoonia You are spot on bhai. In fact, I got to know about the 890 ADV progress in KTM camp and I guess it's something worth selling everything for in the garage and bringing it in. I am keeping my fingers crossed that 'ADV R' also makes its way. Phir, all these are just discussions of the past. 😃
Amazing ownership review , i was very interested in understanding more about why puneet didn’t go for transalp & the f850 gs ! Other than that very informative content Jasveen sir 👍🏻
Am not sure if you both are aware of the Transalp service interval. Transalp 750 service interval is for every 12000 KMS or One year which ever is earlier and it costs Rs 9000.
I feel the 800 RE is a much better bike for the Indian market than the DE! Very few riders in India do off road and the DE caters to a very small segment . The RE on the other hand handles much better than the DE due to to its road focussed geometry , has tubeless wheels and weighs a good 10 kgs less! Match made in heaven for the indian market!
covered all the aspects. very informative video. only one thing I really looking forward to change in my bike is exhaust. it's super bulky and ugly looking. sound also not good.
V Strom should launch one with 500CC. Only option available are NX500, used 500X, TRK 502/X. Used 500X is very hard to find. TRK is full of problems as shared by other owners, on TH-cam, teambhp forums, & reddit. I don't use FB, so don't about that. NX500 is good, and similar to its predecessor, will be highly reliable I believe. But again, options are very limited. V Storm 250 is doing well, so does the 800 DE. But there has to be one 500 CC. ** I'm only talking about 500 CC ones, and thus I didn't mention Versys 650, Himalayan 450, & KTM 390.
@@blinDTiger0.01 I had duke 390 so both will feel similar i think and used 500x is rare. Try at least 800DE or transalp for proper feel. You will enjoy for 10 years❤️
16:47 Few wks ago I heard that Mr Frank Gonsalves / chiefservicemanager / Bigwing midc mumbai Changed the tubed wheels of transalp to tubeLESS of Africa Twin. So if Puneet suzuki wheel dimensions matches, he Cud explore...
800 de has 17 inch rear whereas transalp has 18 , same as Africa twin hence the tubeless tyre setup of africa twin fits on transalp. Even if the tyre dimensions are same, there are high chances that hubs are different, we just cant simply put rims of one bike to other if the manufacturers are different.
I have a question on getting a bike in gurgaon. Is it a good idea to get a bike given 1. Aggressive riding and bad road manners, not like the rest of India is better but it's still dangerous 2. Weather - a very humid weather, very cold weather and probably a few months of pleasant weather. Please guide me whoever is driving in Gurgaon, is it a good idea?

So you wanted something more road baised than off road? How much did it cost you brother Vishal for the xl750? How's your experience been so far!
For Honda NX 500, service interval is 12000kms , but they advice a health check up every 6 months or 6000kms 😊
One thing that I would have loved to have on transalp was air temperature sensor. 800 DE has it.
Great talk guys. Some of us own the Vstrom 800 and agree with most of your views. Good format. Keep it going. Cheers!
Brother, very well explained. this helped me a lot to decide my next bike... thanks. :)
Really changed the perspective of the P storm for me ufff ❤❤
This transalp vs V Strom 800 DE discussion will never end 😂😂 Well great review Keep it up cheers. 👍🏼

Presence & Character-wise the Tigers feel much mote premium. I have not ridden the Transalp..so wont be able to comment much ok that.

I would really request you to make a similar video on F850GSA
wrong info on Transalp - It has a 12K or one year server interval. with 6k only check not interval.

Jas jee, How is the after sales service experience at super suzuki Delhi?
nice video, great explanation , but paying 12l and not getting Tubeless is almost like robbing you blind from Suzuki's stand point.
Yes, you are right

Please do transalp 750 review yourself bro ❤❤❤

@25:35 not correct
My transalp's service interval is at 12k kms and after 6k kms it is just basic inspection
Totally confused to go for Tiger 850 sports or 800DE😮
Honda nx500 manual says once in a year or 12000 km…its not mandatory for every 6 mnths you need to do service… showroom also says not mandatory
Even versys 650 1st service cost is between 7 to 8k. Maybe the japanese guarantee charge. Kawasaki is also 6 months/6000 km.😂
Why not a Tiger 850 ?

At an overall level considering driving style and weather, is getting a bike a good idea??
Why not Tiger 850 sport
Most riders think its More Road focused .. While it may actually be no less than any other machine .
The front registration plate looks ridiculous
The placement makes it look crap 😀😀
