10 years ago, I uploaded a recording on TH-cam; a medley of songs from Kingdom Hearts that I had recorded about a week earlier. I didn't think much of it then, other than giving tribute to my favorite game at the time. The video went viral on TH-cam, long before "viral on TH-cam" was a thing. It appeared in the Top 100 Music Videos on TH-cam, for the ones who remember the nascence of the half-broken, constantly-buffering video sharing site. Feedback from the video inspired me to improve, upload and share more covers. I now find myself as a part of Materia Collective, a truly special community of video game music fans; creators, composers, artists, and other unique individuals who continue to inspire. Here's to another 10 years
Wow. Just amazing. I wish you recorded this once again, with better quality and maybe adding a couple songs from the newer games. I know this is kind of a challenge, but hey, it's up to you to decide what to do. As I said, congrats. This is perfect! Incredible job 👌
Hello grat artist, I play the piano since 14 years ago and I love Kingdon Hearts SO MUCH. I write this comment for two reasons, first because I think this recopilation is awesome, and second because I want to know if you have any sheet or something, because I want to play the music of this video. Thanks so much, I'll wait you answer. ♡
Ah... I remember when I was like 6 and I was afraid of Heartless, and I played in my aunt's house but only in Destiny Islands, but one day, I felt like that was the day, and I decided to give the step and talk to kairi to end the last day in Destiny Islands. Ah... that day changed my life, when I discovered the real game, this game made me feel to many things, to me is the best saga of videogames ever. This makes me feel so many weird things... I'm not the kind of person that usually cries, but if I were about to cry, these songs would be the ones to cry for. I have almost every song in the game like etched in my head. Now I'm replaying the saga, please squaresoft make KH III unforgettable, or it will be unforgivable. I'm trying to explain the best I can, I'm spanish.
Mee to I know how you feel I've played all of the games accept dream drop and so many memories I've listened to this song on repeat and I just cry and cry again
I was addicted to this video "back in the day". I may or may not have downloaded it to have in my phone playlist. I just disassembled my first laptop I bought in 2006, and behold, it had the music file on it. Time flies. Almost 20 years. And writing this, while the music plays really makes me tear up. Thanks, Sebastian, for creating memories!
This watched this video back when youtube was still in it's infancy. I remember the audio being out of sync with the video making it hard to appreciate the performance like it can be witnessed today. Nevertheless, the audio was so beautiful that it inspired me to start playing the piano. I'm 8 years in now, and it's been one of the best decisions of my life. Thank you Sebastian Wolff.
I still think about this piano medley in my daily life. Just came back to listen to it because I couldn't get it stuck out of my head the past few days. Thank you for making this beautiful piece of art!
So many songs with a heavy or sad tone, KH's music always makes me wanna cry... I'm probably too nostalgic. That was a great performance and arrangement.
Started watching this in high school to help me focus on my studies, and here I am at 35 doing the same. Never gets old. I hope you have continued to play, you are very talented. Take care.
This just came into my head out of nowhere after not listening to it for probably 12 years. I used to listen to it almost every night to sleep during high school. Still moved me today. 💜
I have been a piano player since i was 5, mom was a piano player and teacher, I always loved playing piano, but nothing my mom would ever give me would make me want to play, i slacked off for a good while , playing every once in a while just when i felt like it, when i was about 14 i found this video and it showed me that i could find and play other things than plain piano music, since then i have learned about 40 different video game songs on piano and about 10 on ocarina, and i owe i all to Sebastian, thank you fellow piano brethren for showing me that piano is a wonderful instrument, but that im gifted and i shouldn't throw it away, keep doing what you do and keep trucking on, hope to see more videos from you!
*Sigh* Kingdom Hearts... a combination of two of the best story writing organizations in the world... I feel all dreamy every time I think about it and hear this beautiful music. I remember the first time I ever cried over a fictional character death... it was Sora when he sacrificed himself... this game, it's story, and it's characters will always have a place in my heart, and at the risk of sounding cliche I think I'm a little stronger for it. A game that brings out so many emotions, is a rare and special thing. I hope the future sequels will live up to the first.
Crysta Meredith Heads up in the third game it will finish of Xehanort's story and they should have more information Kingdom Hearts III at d23 in japan November 3rd
nope instead square enix is choosing to go ahead and completely pospone that by instead release final fantasy 15 and another hd remake of what looks to be dream drop distance and not sure the other one
This was one of the first videos I ever watch on TH-cam and I was instantly hooked bc kingdom hearts was on of my favorite games of all time. This even started me to learn piano. Still in 2023 this is an iconic video for me. Thank you for all the amazing years.
Never had I played the game, but my freinds did and they introduce me the awesome soundtracks of many games from different genre, and thankfully this beautiful melody is one of them, the video became part of my life. it's 2022, everytime I heard this melody, I still feel nostalgia and longing strongly.
This series taught me the true power of one's heart, and the hearts of others. Where this world can bend you and break you, hearts will come together and protect you, heal you, and fight until all is well. So it is with love that I fight through the flames of hell, to protect those I care about, and to heal those who are falling apart. And one day the hearts of the world will be united. Kingdom Hearts.
14 years and still amazing. I just wanted to come here and tell you that this piece inspired me to start making my own arrangements. I was 12 years old back then and huge fan of game music. I started dreaming about becoming a professional musician and composing game music one day. Today i was talking about great arrangements with my friend and remembered this video. I cried so hard watching this and realizing that all of the things i dreamt about back then have become true. You were a part of it. Thank you.
I remember being 13 driving around New Zealand on holiday in 2008 and I had this downloaded on my ipod, I'd listen and look out the car window, and my new step sister who played classical piano was on holiday with us and she could hear the piano playing through my earphones and asked if she could listen too, I gave her one of the earbuds so we were both listening and looking out the car window and I just remember it being a really lovely moment in time and a great bonding experience, so thankyou 🙏 its been great listening again
This video was uploaded just a month before I got my own TH-cam account so I could 'favorite' music that I liked and rate things 5 stars. I was in high school at the time. Now here I am, a 31-year-old college professor procrastinating on work so I can write this comment and reminisce the time when I would play this in the student lounge of the college where I now teach.
Avevo soltanto 9 anni quando vidi questo video per la prima volta. Adesso ne ho 26… E quando ho bisogno di rifugiarmi in un posto sicuro, questo video è l’unica cosa che mi faccia stare bene ❤️
Currently playing through all the KH again on my PC. I remembered this TH-cam video from when I was a kid. I’ll be 30 next month. Thank you for making this. It’s still as amazing as it was all those years ago 🥰
I watched this back in 06 man, glad to see your still here and well. I come back to it every year for a listen. But one thing you should know, this medley was played 5 to 6 times a day when I was deep into my depression, and it has had a positive effect on teenage me and where adult me is now. So thank you for this beautiful masterpiece.
@@RAYED2008 Hell yeah, man. I'm flat on my ass rn studying for the bar exam (Licensing exam for U.S. attorneys) during the COVID crisis. Just about to smash a hole through this table with my head (the school libraries are closed, of course). And I'm thinking "What the hell? KH Piano Medley." Look into Materia Collective. I keep accidentally discovering that the albums on Spotify I love still have German Seabass' fishy little fins all over them. Glad you're still here in 2020, mate.
I was nine-years-old when I heard this wonderful cover, I just turned twenty a couple months ago... Listening to any songs from KH takes me back, but something about Sebastian's covers feel even more nostalgic
Just started getting into Piano, and KH has always been my one of my favorite franchises. There's no way this video has been on the web for 16 years. Back when KH2 was brand new. Now we're waiting for the 4th... Time flies. This video is a gem.
Ya han pasado 15 años, me acuerdo que este video lo descubrí en 2007 en un Locutorio de mi barrio, y pagaba para verlo cada vez que iba, siempre es como un sueño escuchar este Medley. Gracias GermanSeabass!!!!
Discovered this gem at 14, and it's still equally as impressive to me at 30. One of the finest medleys to ever grace this website, truly stunning work.
this video is legendary. today is my birthday i grew up listening to this song and i printed the sheet music and practiced it every day. It brings back such great memories
Kay, my entire childhood just flashed before my eyes in these 17 minutes. All the laughing and the tears, all the adventures and quests. This game has touched me in a way I never thought a game could. It taught me lessons I'll never forget in my life, and also provided me with friendships that will never break. From the fall into Traverse Town, to Castle Oblivion, to The World That Never Was, and all the places inbetween, Kingdom Hearts has taken us all on a journey we'll never soon forget.
Man this video inspired me to make piano my hobby back when I was a teenager. I'm now 30, still cant play very well, but I now have a creative outlet that has made me so happy. This is still amazing all this time later.
I am so glad this is still here even though a good friend of over 10 years I used to listen to this together with is not anymore. Hits different now but somehow still comforting, back then for our teenage angst now for my loss. Thank you so much for arranging, playing and keeping this up. I return often and I am so glad for this existing!
Those words just reflected what I felt while watching this video... This game is, by far, my favourite one, and an unfergetable one as well... This game meant so much to me. When I watch those commercials where they advert KH Birth by Sleep, or any of the newer ones, and I then realize that I don't have either PSP nor Nintendo 3DS, unexisting tears and pain start flowing, and it leaves me down for the rest of the day... I'm glad to hear that someone has similar feelings towards this game. Thx!
I haven't played this game in over 3 years and I remember almost every one off these songs. It kind of hurts to listen to the Kairi song. I remember my mom saying she liked the background music in the game, and I was so happy because she had finally taken interest in one of my many OCDish obsessions. This was around the time my mom was still in good health. Thanks for this. It brought back a lot of memories.
i think i was 9 years old when i discover this video right now im 25 almost , kinda crazy how times flies man, rn i have a piano cause inspires me to play like this someday :D
I have been aware of this video for years now, but I always find myself coming back when I need to hear some killer piano. Not only are you amazing, but this music brings back some powerful memories for me!
I didn't discover your songs until 2010 with the How to Train Your Dragon songs, but since then I regard you as one of the best arranger/transcribers of game/movie music I've ever found on the internet. I love your style of playing and I miss seeing your videos. This one just showed up in my feed today, and I realized I was still subscribed to this channel. It's beautiful. It's moving. Thank you.
I remember when I first heard this 11 years ago. This video started my desire to learn how to play video game music. Back then, I listened to your covers almost religiously. Then you had some tracks you composed yourself for a small indie game (which from what I can tell, those videos don't exist anymore), and that caused me to want to venture into the world of composition. I just want to say thank you for these videos and what they've meant to me. As I sit here awaiting the release of Project Destati: DARKNESS tonight, I couldn't help but think back to this video. Here's to many more years of awesomeness! (by the way, that painting in the reflection is still as creepy today as it was back then)
I came upon this video on chance when looking for Kingdom Hearts Medley's, and I have to say this is the most beautiful cover that I have ever heard. The sound was absolutely enthralling from start to finish, filling me with a sense of calm after such a rough day. I found myself closing my eyes simply to listen to the piano playing on its own, letting it wash over me. I can't quite explaining the calm, sweet, feeling that it gave me listening to all of these- Nostalgia was apart of it but it wasn't all there is too it, I just love this. I have adhd so paying attention to things without having something else to do isn't my specialty but this easily captured my attention. Hope you have a lovely day, and that you keep playing music as long as you can because oh my goodness, this was so good.
I remember finding this literally as a kid and watching it every single day. You were the reason I looked up sheet music and taught myself the piano. You are my inspiration.
This is amazing.. For some reason, part 2 has been set to private which is sad since I enjoyed listening to it too, but listening to this nearly every day has made me want to buy a keyboard and start practicing again. Such a shame I stopped practicing when I was young, I could've easily learned to play all these KH pieces by now...
Man, i've been listening to this medley since maybe 2008 or 2009 or something and it just never gets old. Beautiful stuff man, beautiful stuff. Perfect music for the perfect game(s).
I still come here to listen this masterpiece in the hardly moments like right now in march 2020 when the coronavirus hits our planet with climate change and our everyday duties. Music is an inspiration to fight any adverse. Always grateful Mr. Wolff.

Never played KH, just listened to this studying for the ACT and tests in highs school over a decade ago. Thank for such beautiful music!!!
I keep revisiting this video…. Your music got me through my darkest childhood moments and now I’m using this to heal my inner child. Thank you ❤️
Discovered this gem at 14, and it's still equally as impressive to me at 30.
One of the finest medleys to ever grace this website, truly stunning work.
I remember years ago when I first found this video. I was blown away.. and to this day, I am still blown away. Beautiful. Absolutely breathtaking.
this video is legendary. today is my birthday i grew up listening to this song and i printed the sheet music and practiced it every day. It brings back such great memories
Eleven years later, and you're still helping me through my hardest nights of studying.
I'm thankful for you, man. Hope you're well.
13 years later and I'm still coming back to listen again. It's helped me get to sleep so many times.
You wouldn't believe how many times I've listened to this medley of yours. The music of Kingdom Hearts is the work of pure genius.
Thx!
I remember watching this a couple months after he published the video. I wish Sebastian nothing but the best
16 years later, still watch this song avery time and then.
i wish you would play it again, and this time, with better sound quality 🥺
I have been aware of this video for years now, but I always find myself coming back when I need to hear some killer piano. Not only are you amazing, but this music brings back some powerful memories for me!
Still just as amazing as when I heard it as a teen playing the game. Love this video for 14 years now.
This video has completely changed my life since I first listened to it as a teenager. Just wanna thank you with all my heart.
(by the way, that painting in the reflection is still as creepy today as it was back then)
I found this five years ago, and I still listen to it all the time. You're very talented. It is ridiculous how amazing this is.
I've been watching this video for years. Still one of the best things I found on youtube
12 years, am I really that old? Well, even if I am, I still can't stop crying if I hear you playing KH-Songs
Liking, favoriting, and subscribing just aren't enough to express my intense love for this video!
Absolutely PHENOMENAL! I had chills!
I remember finding this literally as a kid and watching it every single day. You were the reason I looked up sheet music and taught myself the piano. You are my inspiration.
please never take this video down. im probably going to listen to it everyday for forever
I remember first listening to this in middle school. I had to come back and listen to it again.
I still come here to listen this masterpiece in the hardly moments like right now in march 2020 when the coronavirus hits our planet with climate change and our everyday duties. Music is an inspiration to fight any adverse. Always grateful Mr. Wolff.
I had a dream of this rendition of this medley and I woke up with tears in my eyes. Thanks for an amazing medley.
Hehe...I've been watching this video for yeeeaaarrss. Still makes me happy and nostalgic. Thanks for uploading.
