Listening to this have brought back so many memories.. Waking up on a Saturday and turning on the PlayStation 2 to play this game, while my mother would make me something to eat.. such simple times and it was the most precious memories that I have had as a kid.
As I grow older, I miss out on this kind of excitement and after everything that has happened in the past couple of years, it was hard.. Lost my mother to covid, and I find myself not enjoying these kind of games lately, everything has been a blur and the stress of it all.
One day I wish to just sit down and play the Kingdom Hearts game and try to relive the memories.

Ah, the feels! The background… the music… it's all too precious. Kingdom hearts just brings some sort of unexplainable warmth to the heart strings. I don't know what it is, but it's just one of those things that hits deep.

Both yoko shimomura and tetsuya Nomura were born on Thursday, no wonder this game is so MAGICAL! Oh, and Walt Disney was born on a Thursday as well. It just can’t be coincidence. It really is magic
kingdom hearts is a story about adolescents finding their place in their world. They're young and innocent, especially Sora. Even the romance between Sora and Kairi is only vaguely romantic. Their friendships and bonds show the best side of humanity. One of the hardest hitting moments was playing Roxas at the start of KH2 and his arc ending with the line "I guess my summer vacation is over". He had to say good bye to the playful times with his friends in a bubble of safety to let Sora fulfill his purpose. All of the moments are heartwarming and wholesome despite some of the bittersweetness they may have. Combine that with the music composition, and that's why kh1 and 2 are some intensely memorable stories.
Also, the ending of KH1 where Kairi reciprocates Sora's love and drew herself sharing the papau fruit with him...all with Simple and Clean playing in the background...god I wish relationships could be so simple like that
100% agree. In the end I always knew (for me) the games were medicore (graphics, how they adpated the disney stories) but all in all when I started a new game or just heard the music (like here), it was something that hit me. Looking back I think it’s the story about true friendship, how they overcome the darkness and finding their place, that gives me these chills. I think I wish we would have more of such friendships in real life.
The way 36:58 still - to this day - makes me immediately stop what I'm doing and cry lol This game and this soundtrack is so much more impactful than it has any right to be honestly. Shaped a generation of gamers.

I’m having such a rough patch in my life right now that as soon as “Dearly Beloved” started, I began to cry. This game was my life back then and made me smile even when times were hard so hearing it now makes all those happy memories come flooding back ❤

The way 36:58 hits me right in my core will always be something special deep within my nostalgia and my heart. Nothing else will bring goosebumps and strong memories back of playing KH in my room alone at night on my PS2 and falling in love with the story..

That ending, since 01:01:46 was perfect. The KHuX's version of Xion's theme and the "Roxas (Re:coded Version)" are two of my favourite tracks. Pure emotion.

I feel sorry for folks who never experienced the mind-blowing collaboration of Disney and Final Fantasy. It was almost too much. It was Sep '02, I was 14 . Having been raised on classic 2D Disney and then playing FF into my teens. FFX had released the summer before, and here was a game that was going to combine the undeniable cool and complex FF with the beloved heartwarming Disney.. !? I'm trying to describe what it was like but words fail to fully express the absolute magic that was this game. Concept, gameplay, story, design, voice acting, and of course music. It all just came together so wonderfully. 🌟
This game... I will never be able to put into words the way I feel when I hear this music, when I see these pictures... It meant so much to me. The good old times of when I used to play it. I still remember the first time that I saw Roxas opening the window in his room: "Twilight Town"...
