Wasn't a huge fan before, still haven't changed my mind. Bought a case of boosters and a single PC ETB for down the road. No itch to rip it at all. Su far I've bought two singles, skipping the Greninja. I didn't want it at 150, and I'm cool with other people enjoying something that's not for me.
I thought the tera hats would not get that much love. But now that I’ve seen how greninja ex is doing, I’m hoping the upcoming eeveelution set will be almost as good as evolving skies.
I think Twilight is a strong set. Ogerpon masks will hold up simply because of the art and the concept reminds me of Japanese tradition, just timeless…or maybe I’m a big fan of those. Regardless good set
When it first came out. I was refusing to buy some only 151. Now my family and I open 151, crown zenith, and this one. A few other packs here and there. 😅
My take is twilight is going to tank hard when these new sets come out. I too am shocked about the prices for twm at this stage. I kinda get the greninja chase but there’s really nothing behind it. The eevee ir is mid at best. I believe you were right lol. Give it some more time.
More than 3 months after release this set is still hitting hard … I stand by what I’ve said in the past that the Carmine SIR is one of the most beautiful looking trainer cards EVER ! The frog 🐸 is still a $300 or so raw card …. Perrin still a $70 card ….
Twilight and the greninja only are doing better than other sets in s and v era because the pull rates are terrible. SIR cards are basically 1 in a thousand packs. Pokemon can print money by making 1 good looking card in a set of a popular Pokemon and give it an incredibly low chance of pulling it and they sell a lot more boxes. I think temporal forces never did well because all the chase cards are gen 9. It’s interesting that usually what makes a set expensive is also what makes it less fun to open unless you get very lucky

My question from an investing point of view on newer stuff is how do the kids rate it? And the pokemon. Like for me I gone hard on 151 as that's my childhood era

Now Surging Sparks is highly anticipated just like Obsidian flames was but if it comes out with Obsidian Flames pull rates people will hate on it like they do with OF.
Greninja is carrying for sure, but can't really play that game of removing it from the set cause it's there. Some times a set only needs a good chase card. Surging Sparks is a much bigger set than OF and I don't think they will go back to easier pull rates.
it's got three waifu cards in the sets top 5, Its not a good set. Prices are going to smash down on this set. Paying 140$ for a booster box on this set is insane.
@@jasone42683 agreed. It just hurts as I did take some fine art classes in uni and the color theory’s over-saturation, lack of harmony and composition is actually just plain bad.
TM has one of the worst line-ups of SIRs. The trainers are probably the only decent looking ones. The only reason this set is even relevant is because of oMG gr3nINj4 fan favorite. Take away that card and then NO ONE would be talking about TM right now. And plus, pull rates are incredibly hard which is why prices are so high. Have a normal pull rate and these cards would be cut at least half if not more. Most overrated SV set.
If anything, your analysis still proves to me that twilight is heavily overrated and overhyped. Taking out the main chase from each set, which are all worth hundreds of dollars, you have Perrin, carmine, Kieran, eevee and ursaluna. That going against a set with Espeon, mew vmax, mew v, celebi and genesect in fusion. And aerodactyl , pikachu vmax, pikachu v and rotom in lost origin. I’d take all of those cards over any of the secondary chase cards in twilight except maybe eevee. I don’t believe people actually care about all those trainers, every other trainer in every other set has tanked except sort of iono. And the ogerpons and gold cards will drop in value as soon as they rotate out. Twilight is one of the few sets I can see having its top 10 cards devalue over the next year. It’s gotta get past reprints too. Maybe that greninja will carry it, but that’s its lone hope.
Very likely, but still surprising the set is doing so well this many months after release. It might fade into the background after Surging Sparks, Team Rocket come out.

Not a big fan of TWM from a collectors standpoint. I am also not a fan of trainer cards or the mask pokemon but the greninja chase is a real thing

Twillight is a very strong set, when there is no big reprint its going to the moon

Not right, EVS was not printed in 2022 but halfway 2021. Price charting isnt giving the right numbers for this comparison.
Greninja should be a $80 card . It may be a fan favorite, but it's ugly. I believe it will fall in the next few months.
