In this video we finally get the Align Pro v2 3GX into the air for the first time. This is not what I would call a "Maiden Flight", but it is the first time it will see air.
The first takeoff was not as planned and got a little rough. But thanks to the quality of Align products, the tail gears held together and I was able to fly again.
Pretty much what we decided to do here is a video on setting up the gyro gains. Unfortunately, even though I have turned the pots all the way up, I never could get a wag out of it like I was hoping. But this thing is solid as a rock in the air. Have a watch and let me know what you think!

I'm flying a Gaui but loved this series of videos. There's a lot of really good help in there for the beginner regardless of the machine. The first take off was a tad twitchy methinks - could do with some expo perhaps. But by the end she was flying really sweetly. Thanks again for this.

That is a smooth spool up like your settings old videos, whish I would have seen them when they were made.
Yea, these are a little old now. Might just be time to update them which means new toys which means a possible divorce in my future lmao.

ive just bought DX7 and was hoping to get some advice on how to use it , never mind ill keep searching you tube

Update to v2.1 and you will notice a much stable flight .

I have an issue with my trex 500 DFC 3GX banking slightly when yaw is applied in the hover . for example when turning the tail from tail in to tail left (nose to the right) the seli wants to drift to the left.
for the opposite direction, turning the nose left, the heli seems to want to back up slightly....
Are these normal gyroscopic effects or is there something i can do with the 3GX settings to mix this out
I've been reading the manual on DX7 but still don't understand how to set the idle up mode ,nor have i found any helpful vids , could you please shed some light on this topic ?

what gain will you use on trex 3gx with dx8. thx
