Since quite a few members have been asking about mounting and wiring the 3GX gyro, I have decided to just redo the whole series. I jumped ahead a bit in teh last ones, and I wanted to step back and fill in the gaps.
In this video, I show you how to mount the gyro, how to wire it up if you are using a 6ch Tx or any other brand other than JR, Spektrum or Futaba. I show you what you can expect to see in the software of the 3GX as well. We are running on version 3.1 in this video.

I`m not having any luck with the servos on my Trex 450 RC running the 3Gx flybarless system. What servos do you like to use. I don`t know what the problem is but the servos jump up and down and are getting hot. You can see the blades move up and down

Hello RcHelpDotCom,
I am setting up the 3GX on a Trex250pro dfc and following your how to's. . . got a few questions:
1. How does the power get to the 3GX when using a Spektrum receiver and the kit supplied BEC
2. On the otherhand, if I were to use the 3GX with 1 sattellite, how would the power get to the 3GX through the kits BEC
(kit BEC is align RCE-BL15X)

hello,, just a quick question as iam new to this setting up helicopters, if I had reversed the polarity on the power up the 3gx does it damage the unit ? I cant get it to power up now when it had been powerd up before. many thanks stevie

I`m still having trouble with the set up. When I bind the unit with the satellite It loses the bind. The satellite starts flashing and it will not bind when I go into the 3gx set up. all the green lights flash and I can`t get into setup mode.

HiI`m trying to set up my align 3gx system and not having any luck. I'm not getting any lights on the set up and the USB drivers will not update .Is this why the set up lights are not coming on.

HiI put the align 3gx v3.1 with the align Flybarless head on my Trex 450 .I`m having trouble with the servos .The ail servo will not reverse. I`m using the spectrum dx8. I went in to the settings on the Radio. I have the 3 servos 120 swash and went in and tried to reverse the servos and that did not work .And I changed the frame to 22 M.S the SW select settings are gyro:Aux2 with the Mode : DSMX. And I tried the settings on the Swash there all at 60.That did not work. If I`m doing something wrong please let me know. And what the set up is on my radio should be.

Hello Sir, am new to the fbl world and i had the following question. Is the 3gx gyro only meant for the T-rex series or i can also use it for example for the mini titan e325 or others clones etc..?

you can use it for any other helicopter as long as you can mount it flat :)

Yes you can. There are two dedicated ports for Spektrum Satellites and on a 550, I would suggest using both ports with two satellites for safety.
