A powerful video and emotional too. The testimony of Dr. John is filled with goose bumps. We have to pray for all doctors and clinics conducting abortions to have a change of heart. Abortions have never been the end of the problem rather a start of new problems especially for the mother. May God bless all those who have experienced abortions with a change of heart to be able to confess and be guilt free. May the souls of all the innocent souls rest in peace.
Just when I thought this series could not get any better - here comes the deadly sin of greed as characterized by Mr Howe on “Gilligan’s Island”. I am constantly amazed by the stars in Hollywood (and even those within my own circle) who seem to have it all - money, fame, upward mobility - and yet, they are MISERABLE! As you have beautifully said, they never have enough and their greed never hits an endpoint. Personally, I find that when I pray with a heart full of gratitude, my heart swells and I don’t have time to think about coveting my neighbor’s goods. I am so inspired by Dr Brachalski and those like him who have turned their bad decisions into a virtue while helping others in the process. His astounding story brought tears to my eyes and gives me hope. I have SO much for which to be thankful. Fr Chris, finding you and this Divine Mercy channel has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. May God help us all to put Him first in all we do and use our time, treasure or talent for the glory of His Kingdom here on Earth. Praying for you and your council meetings in Rome. 🙏
Well said Tanya. Sadly, I’ve been acquainted with people who engaged in total conspicuous consumption, just for the sake of impressing others with their “things”. Let’s pray for the change of hearts of those attached to possessions and let them keep enjoying the fruits of their material accomplishments. My issue with greedy people is when they are greedy combined with being prideful, i.e. thinking highly of themselves because of what they own.
The world is so much in need of spiritual warriors like you Tanya. God has guided you to Jesus Divine Mercy where your spiritual strength and generosity are valuable for other’s conversion.

So this entire series has been quite an eye-opener for me. This week’s LDM episode challenges me to get out of my comfort zone in a big way. I pray for God’s grace to discern where, when and how to be generous. I’m doing my best to practice the 4 points mentioned of a happy life. Dear Lord please teach me to put You and my neighbor ahead of my own desires. Please help me cultivate an interior spirit of cheerful generosity of my treasure, my talent and most especially my time. I am praying to know where I can use my gifts to make a positive change.

I pray to have a generous spirit when I don’t want to have one. Then, it’s challenging to walk that fine line of generosity to others, and self care, which is important too. I was listening to an early Explaining the Faith talk yesterday, and Father Chris reminded us to perform an act of mercy daily, and a penance or two on Friday. I’m a work in progress, as we all are ❤️

This episode touched my heart about the babies being unwanted by their own mothers through abortion. Been praying to have children for more than a decade, but God has not yet answered my prayer. Sad to say there are women given an opportunity to become mothers but they just turn down God’s generosity. May God’s mercy flood upon their souls.

Beautifully said Abby. I offer prayers for medical schools and schools of nursing, particularly on the campuses of Catholic Universities. In my opinion, that is where hearts can and must change, and respect for a culture of life can be inculcated in the students. Dr and Mrs Bruchalski are a great beginning. As a nurse (retired) I’ve had the question in my heart for a while now, “How can I influence nursing education to instill a pro_life culture. I am taking it to prayer.
I am eternally grateful to you Rev Fr Chris Alar for enlightening us in this session about the deadly sin of Greed. Sometimes we commit it not realising what we are doing or have done. This is a wonderful jolt to our conscience of realisation that we can rectify ourselves and turn over a new leaf with a determined and conscious effort. Fr Chris you should do an additional episode on sorrow. Some people debate whether this is included in the deadly sins. Either way, this should be a bonus episode as it really can be something people struggle with today in the modern world and they don't even realize it
One day our son asked if we had a little gas money. He had received (reluctantly) a $100 tip from someone a couple days before. I was surprised he had gone through it all. He told me that he didn't. A homeless guy asked him if he could spare any change, but all he had was the $100 dollar bill in his pocket. He took it out and gave it to the guy. He hoped we weren't upset. Are you kidding???? He did exactly what he should have!!!!!!! 🙏❤️🥰💖
