Hurray 🎉 for another epic episode of The Seven Deadly Sins on “Living Divine Mercy”! We all struggle with patience and should call on The Holy Spirit in these times of struggle. Nancy’s story really touched my heart. The love she and her husband showed for their son Nicholas was nothing short of exceptional. They did not allow Nicholas to be defined by his disability. May we all strive to be caretakers of Jesus’ messengers.

Well said Tanya. Some thing I have gleaned from watching this entire series on the Seven Deadly Sins so far is the necessity to cultivate the virtues opposite the seven deadly sins, which are very real evils but are privations of the virtues of humility, chastity, temperance, patience, charity to name a few. I am looking forward to the continuation of the series.

It’s a beautiful feeling on how united you both are, sharing your beautiful thoughts and knowledge for our spiritual growth. Raging anger that is based on totally losing one’s temper is a horrible emotion. For me I learned this from watching others who lost their tempers and acted out. It took me many years and a lot of difficult moments to finally drop this habit of popping off at everything. I finally came to my senses that I was the one who was wrong for reacting the way I did. In sadness I began my prayer journey. I began meditating on Christ’s passion and how He was unfairly “hooked up” by the systems in place during His time. If anyone should have invoked wrath for humanity’s insolence it would have been our Lord. But He obeyed the Father’s will and died. This is what I have been doing, albeit imperfectly, for almost 15 years, that is, not going into an angry fit with the ones I love. Mind you, my life has been spent around difficult people throughout the years. I am now patient with them and learned how to turn situations around so that no one is hurt. Thank you, Lord, and when I wasn’t listening to you too well, you sent your Mother to me. She has helped me with the gift of the rosary and her advocacy for her Son. God bless everyone.

An entire spectrum of Catholic human behavior can be mapped along the 10 Commandments based on Aristotlian ethetical imperitives expressed in Roman Catholic Language.
    There are 10 Commandments
    3 Commandments toward God
    7 Commandments toward Humanity
All 10 Commandments need to be properly balanced within the lively virtues: chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility.
When we transgress outside the confines of the lively virtues we enter into realm of the deadly sins: too much/too little pride, too much/too little greed, too much/too little lust, too much/too little envy, too much/too little gluttony, too much/too little wrath, and too much/too little sloth. Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
    Peace in Christ 💝

Can someone please explain to me why having a child with a disability is such "devastating news"?
I'm born with Cerebral Palsy. Growing up, all my friends had some kind of disability (fact: most times when Spina Bifida is detected during pregnancy, the doctors still advice abortion. They claim that the child "will not have a quality of life". All my friends with SB turned out living a great life. I'm preparing for the seminary.
My disabilities are my greatest gifts for my priesthood.
We're different. We see the word different. Please, stop saying it's so terrible. THAT makes us more disabled, than the disability itself.
