Yall definitely had the right tools! From the splitter, JD and the Bob kitten it was the perfect setup to make firewood easy and enjoyable without breaking the back! Good to see Aaron! Great video Genin👍🏻👍🏻
Your splitter on the mini skid is definitely the answer verses noodling everything. I also agree having a helping hand dealing with firewood is always nice. You guys make me want to spend money and buy more equipment 😂😂
@@LogCabinFirewood the skid mounted splitter makes all the difference. Even if we had a log lift, I’d still rather split them up into manageable pieces rather than fighting them on back and forth on a splitter. Thanks for watching jack!
Good vid Genin! I'm glad to see that it looks like you're actually getting a LOT of use out of your mini skid. Just like we were just talking about how the Baumalite forestry mulchers have been showing up on people's YT channel all over the place lately, so have the mini skids. And I really don't know how much use a lot of the other guys get out of theirs. But it looks like you're actually putting yours to work pretty often, and that's good to see. I want you to get a decent return on your investment!
A conveyor is a nice to have for loading into a trailer. In this particular case, the Ultra could have been placed at the rear of the dump trailer and loaded right off the splitter. You were already moving the rounds to the splitter with the mini Bobcat, a little further wouldn't be much of a difference. As with all fast cycle time splitters, the bottleneck is never the splitter. Extra hands greatly increases production.
@@bwillan I agree we could have tossed into the trailer, but chucking an entire load of wood takes about more energy than sliding it into the bucket of the tractor, we’ve got soft hands! 😂
Hi Genin and Aaron. Where did the summer go. Little Bob looks to be a very valuable asset. Have you had Little Bob very long? How do you like it? The reason for all the questions my Case 410 motor went bad. Getting prices to see if it pays to fix it. Preparing my self. I need something to handle logs and totes. What’s the lifting capacity of the Mt 100. Good system you’ve got going on. Great team work. Are you going to Bunyan?
@@clubdoraoutdoorsandfirewood hello Mr Al, yes we are going to bunyon. I’ve had the bobcat for a few months now and it’s been awesome. I sold my kioti for it! Lift capacity is 1,000 pounds, but I haven’t found anything I can’t lift, that i previously could with my tractor. I did a video a few months back going over why I thought it would be the perfect woodyard machine for me if you’re looking for more info. Have a good safe week!
Two good ol boys and the right gear make firewood enjoyable. Nice work.

Great work guys! Those big pieces sure make some great looking firewood👍👍
@@outdoorsinthe608 they do and they make a lot of firewood, without hydraulics though they sure can be labor intensive. Have yourself a good Sunday!
For big rounds that Bobcat splitter is sure handy. saves the back. It makes all the difference in the world when you have a second pair of hands.

That’s the way to do it! Stay safe and have a great day…
