There are many comments sharing the NC meaning (North Carolina), but as someone from that state with parents who grew up in Hickory, I am so happy to see the furniture in your chateau. Hickory has been hit hard by off-shoring and many factories have shuttered (including one owned by my grandfather), so it's great to see some of their hard work still surviving all around the world.

Being a Francophile, when lockdown occurred here in the states, I began distracting myself by watching videos of historical places in France. My job was considered essential, and it was a pretty scary time tbh. Formerly crowded highways and I was the only car on the road going to and from work. So yes, distractions please! I had your vlog suggested and I watched. I’ve been hooked ever since! The beauty of the chateau, it’s furnishings and grounds can only be outshone by the people in it. ☺️ And then Miss Mystery. Hickory, North Carolina is one of the finest furniture communities in the world. Just so you know I too am from NC and have been fortunate enough to visit the furniture market. Incredible display of some of the finest furniture you will see.
My dad worked for a furniture company years ago when I was a kid and we got to go to the Hickory Furniture shows sometimes. It was a lot of fun! When I saw that name I was excited that a bit of where I grew up is at the Chateau!
I live outside of Raleigh NC and love the furniture markets!! We go to Thomasville too! We love to find deals on Ethan Allen!! Last sofa was so substantial and solid it had to be brought in by 4 men instead of two.

Orange blossom extract is so different from orange extract. I thought it could be an ok substitute in a keto chocolate mousse once and it really wasn't, it tastes floral and perfumy. Congratulations on the plaque. Lastly, I enjoy the chateau and cottage in equal measure. As a viewer, I think Stephanie having a reliable day and time for when she releases a new video really helps keep her viewing figures up, I think that was one of your strengths in the beginning, as well as your genuine interest in old things/history, your natural ability to engage with the viewers and the fact you are yourself on camera. "Forced Perspective." So love when intellect and worldliness come together. // I didn't watch "Downton Abbey," b/c I didn't have cable at the time. Plus, I assumed it would be too much like Upstairs Downstairs, which I enjoyed thoroughly, but I just don't care for drama series these days. I'd rather just watch a movie. HONESTLY, just CLEAN them. Velvet or carpet shampoo will remove most of the grime. I love that color and texture. They're so gorgeous. A few throw pillows over them and they're ready for sitting.

Hickory, North Carolina is one of the finest furniture communities in the world. Just so you know I too am from NC and have been fortunate enough to visit the furniture market. Incredible display of some of the finest furniture you will see.

I live close to Charlotte and I love furniture shopping in hickory.
I live outside of Raleigh NC and love the furniture markets!! We go to Thomasville too! We love to find deals on Ethan Allen!! Last sofa was so substantial and solid it had to be brought in by 4 men instead of two.

Orange blossom extract is so different from orange extract. I thought it could be an ok substitute in a keto chocolate mousse once and it really wasn't, it tastes floral and perfumy. Congratulations on the plaque. Lastly, I enjoy the chateau and cottage in equal measure. As a viewer, I think Stephanie having a reliable day and time for when she releases a new video really helps keep her viewing figures up, I think that was one of your strengths in the beginning, as well as your genuine interest in old things/history, your natural ability to engage with the viewers and the fact you are yourself on camera. I am in the UK, btw.
So happy for your success! I stumbled on this Chanel back in March of 2020 mostly as a refuge. ( I had already watched every Time Team episode on You Tube...). I had not thought of renovating a chateau, but I loved the Doing It Ourselves idea. I was hooked instantly. "Forced Perspective." So love when intellect and worldliness come together. // I didn't watch "Downton Abbey," b/c I didn't have cable at the time. Plus, I assumed it would be too much like Upstairs Downstairs, which I enjoyed thoroughly, but I just don't care for drama series these days. I'd rather just watch a movie. HONESTLY, just CLEAN them. Velvet or carpet shampoo will remove most of the grime. I love that color and texture. They're so gorgeous. A few throw pillows over them and they're ready for sitting.
