It's kinda cool that this Peter looks a lot like if Andrew Garfield and an older Tom Holland fused together. Anyone else notice that his voice actor sounds like the tone of spectacular spiderman with the inflection of the animated series. Insomniac did a fantastic job at making Spidey both new and familiar. This is the first game in a while that might get me to switch to PS4

Love when Li confronts him, the tension is insane. 10:00 can tell he's literally seconds away from killing him till may comes In. I got vibes of Peter and Tombs driving to prom from Homecoming which was my favorite part of that film the tension was through the roof!
I don't think Martin would kill him, he would've just been more direct in telling Peter to mind his own business.

From the letter he sends to Doc Ock, it seems like Mr. Negative is a separate personality that comes on at random, but he was taking medicine from Octavious to control him. Eventually, the medicine stopped working, so once Kingpin got defeated, Mr. Negative took the opportunity to strike at Norman for revenge.
It’s so obvious man. He’s so creepy. Even a normal person just hearing him talk would know he’s planning something.

yeah he did, I know in the game Li doesn't really piece the puzzle together of who Spiderman really is but I like to think him catching Peter in his office gave him a hint of Peter's double life as well.

Learning Martin's backstory and how his story plays out in this game makes this part all the sadder. Deep down Martin's just a seriously conflicted man trying his best to do some good in this world, yet at the same time feels like he can't control his inner demons to let go of his hate towards Norman. You can tell before he sets his plans into motion that he's genuinely happy just helping people and not putting on a front or show with his philanthropy, he's overall just a nice guy, but can't let the opportunity to get revenge on Norman go once it presents itself. His letter to May really drives home how much he cares for her and that he absolutely knows how much he's sacrificing by going through with his plan in losing not only his reputation, but also FEAST's reputation. He knows that although he might get revenge on Norman, he's definitely going to feel guiltly and major regret about how it's going to affect the lives of the people he cares for and Li's genuinely sorry for what he feels like he has to do. It makes me wonder how Martin felt if he ever heard about how May died all because of his indirect actions.
It's just like Rosemary Harris' Aunt May once said in Spider-Man 3 "Revenge is like a poison. Before you know it, it can turn you into something ugly."

You know, this scene is supposed to be focused on Peter finding out about Mr. Negative, but I'm more focused on Pete's interaction with Aunt May. Why? Because THAT is why I love Spider-Man. He's just a good guy trying his best to help out however he can, despite the fact that the world keeps shitting on him. That's pretty much my life in a nutshell too, so it's pretty relatable.
I love the exchange between Li and Peter when Peter gets outta the room.

I love this game and the story, but one thing bothers me: Why did Peter immediately suspect Mr. Li after the Osborn rally? I don't remember him witnessing Li turning into Mr. Negative, on my second playthrough and still wondering how he knew.

Peter suspected him because he actually did see Martin at the rally it all started when spider sense started tingling peter was going to where the danger was at. the first person he saw before looking where Jeff davis was at is Martin Li. Li was unrecognizable because he was looking down charging up his power to make the explosions more deadly.

During missions like these, I always get nervous that the other character is gonna appear.
Me and Li are similar. Mr. Negative is one of my favourite villains he is not the only one with a demon living inside of him. But I face my demon. Li becomes his.
