Unbelievable to see these guys still performing. Have all their Albums since I discovered their music in 1987. Think they still deserve a bigger stage. Keep rocking Mark

With so many bands splitting up ie Hall and Oates or not even speaking (Spandau Ballet), how awesome to see a band still performing together, sounding great and clearly enjoying themselves. Thanks for posting.
Fantastic !!! Brings back so many great memories !!! A coach load of us went to watch them live at the Birmingham NEC, UK, back in 1988 at Christmas and they were just brilliant !!! They still sound as good now,,, LOVE IT !!! 😍😍😍🎸👌🔥🔥🔥
@@sirgaryo Surprised with that ´many a younger fans´ remark. They go hip-hop these days mostly, mainstream, rock, at least here in Slovakia a "jazz-funk" is almost dead. But the Czechs still have something. Even if you dont understand the lyrics: Its great. th-cam.com/video/PrNUaT0ZtaA/w-d-xo.html
I really can enjoy even more when Michael David Lindup sings Starchild with his dreamy voice and as great keyboard player too. He is a very important part of the typical Level 42 sound.
One of my first favorites in ‘70, still Bas(-ic) strong and well. Pete Ray is (incredible) straight. 30.00 min. Favorite song and Some more. Thnx for the video
Fantastic capture quality! 📽️🔊 The sound - which can be hit & miss on here- is exceptional. Fantastic job.👌Oh yes, and L42 - pretty damn good aren't they?? 😊
This is too cool. THANK YOU x 1000 for sharing this. It's wonderful for an American fan like myself who can't get over there to see Level 42. They were here in 2010 and I'm grateful I not only got to see them, but I got to meet Mark and Mike after the show. They sound fantastic; Thanks again Christopher...peace!
What a start this morning, been watching this fantastic concert, perfect sound and pictures, couldn't do better my training in the gym for 60 minutes, thanks so much! I haven't been able to see the boys live on stage for ages
@@leonardowelles5580 arbeitet der nicht auch für Kool & the Gang im deutschsprachigem Raum / EU ? Glaub, hab ihn bei denen in Leipzig gesehen. Guter Mann !
Thank so much for posting this, Christopher!…I've listened to MANY Level concert vids over the years and this really does the concert justice. Amazing sound quality.
Omg....Level 42 r still spot on!! Since i played @ my 16th(1981) several instruments, we played these songs also with our band back then, mostly from the album starchild....now @ almost 60, i play these song still with our oldie goldie band hahahaha.......still rocking!🤣🤣🤓🤘💯 Thnx for the uploading, wish i was there.....
The best funk band to ever come out of the UK. Please make a live album of this performance. Other performers; look and learn from outstanding musicians!
Never mind the musicianship I always loved the combination of Mark's voice with Mike's distinctive sweet falsetto. Seen them quite a few times over the last few years and I've only one criticism and that's the setlists. I do appreciate they are now a ' legacy ' band and lots of people will turn up expecting the the pop hits epitomised by the Running in the Family album. However, I'd like a few deeper cuts from the earlier days as there is so much more to them. Of course it's well known the Gould brothers didn't like pop direction they went in despite it being commercially successful.
This recording IS The best what I've heard by Many ways! Firstly, you can hear every Instrument clearly! That drummer IS a bomb dropper, what a touch! Mark has always Been a very technical player but in this Set he's playing IS somehow More warm, They are playing a bit slower than before? This sound IS perfect!!!!!❤❤❤❤
At about the last note of the guitar solo the engineer managed to get it loud enough - 20 minutes - some could say guitar was loud from the stage but what about Mark King vocals ???
Heaven In My Hands is quite possibly my all time favorite L42 song. Guaranteed, Overtime, Forever Now and Love In A Peaceful World rank in my top 10 as well. Mark and the team are true musical talent that's now sadly overlooked by mass manufacturing. Taylor Swift - I'm looking at you! Pah .. give me this kinda YT video any day of the week.
King et Lindup ont fait des merveilles...un groupe fabuleux mais qui à mon avis n'a pas été assez reconnu par leur talent. Cette basse jouée par MKing un génie.
Unbelievable to see these guys still performing. Have all their Albums since I discovered their music in 1987. Think they still deserve a bigger stage. Keep rocking Mark

And not to forget, he's back to Jaydee . . . next step is getting rid of Markbass and return to Trace Elliot.
It's nuts, Mark and Mike have been touring now for over 40 years, that is quite an achievement.
Level 42 one of my favourite bands, remember going to see them at Wembley Arena in 1987. Still listen to them to this day.
One of the best bassists ever to grace a stage. On guitar 😉.
Frost!!
@Tutor2KMC The instrument that the best bassist in the video is playing is not a bass guitar.
What the hell are you people talking about ? it's Mark King playing bass guitar .. you must be smoking some deadly meth
Agree! Going to see them for the first time this Saturday.
Pete Ray on drums is some kind of x man shizz ...jesus Christ.. a born funk magician.. incredible 😍
one of my favorite bands back in the 80s
AND TODAY!
INSANELY talented. All of them! DEFINITELY on a MUCH higher level that us mere mortal musicians. They are, after all LEVEL 42!!
One of the first real music i bought listend 2 and loved soo much and still do✨Amsterdam the Netherland ✌️😎✨ps: thanks so much for sharing✨
So you were buying fake music before?
A.M.A.Z.I.N.G bass and drummer on a different planet

Are they adored in UK?
@ they were massive in the mid 80’s and 90’s and are still loved by us “older” guys 😂, although they have many younger fans too !

Without doubts betwen the best band in the history. A huge job since the groove until the rythmic.🎸👏🍻💯

That's a huge number of views within a couple of days for this brilliant concert !!!!!!!!! More new Level 42 albums please !!!
No kidding. Right NOW!!!???!!! Gotta watch and listen. Made my entire week. LOVE IT!!!!!

Wow....the little bass break near the end of Heathrow...the strummed chords is stunning!! Seriously so good!!! What a band!!
Amazing! After 43 years they are still playing, while many of today are already forgotten after a year...
But there are only Mark and the Pianoman!! We had Listen live to Mark and bis Original guys 1983 in Würzburg !!
Mike, You sound great!

Great stuff!! Love Games was EPIC!!👍😎
Brilliant show with the Legends Mark and Mike, plus a superb band. Once warmed up Mark completely rolled back those singing years, bravo too Mike.
I saw them live last week in Leverkusen. What a great show it was...!!!🔥🔥🔥
Saw them for the 72nd time last Friday at the Indigo. Glad you've uploaded this as my phone ran out of storage so I only got three songs!
King on bass and another King on guitar. 🔥
Great times keep up the music great live band can’t wait to see them again proper thanks for sharing cheers

Absolutely TIMELESS!!!✨👏👏👏
One of the best things I've seen in years!! Thanks! Wish I was there!
Keep in mind that Love Games was written in the late 70ies. I'm glad that the band is still around, more or less intact.
Tight as two coats of paint. Brilliant stuff and a shout out to Mike the epic keyboard player.
Their drummer Pete Ray Biggin is a monster!
I noticed.
But can he play Bloodclock?
Mark King ... Seriously the King of the Bass ... Thanks for sharing this ..
Apparently his brother is better
Masters of the masters !! 80s fun !!
Mark sounds great. Gotta plan a trip to the UK next fall for the World Machine 40th tour!
I literally saw them 4 days ago in Cancun. What a badass drummer.

sehr geil, die Jungs mal wieder zu sehen - und das in der Form! Toll!
Mark's brother, Nathan on guitar. Both are incredibly talented and very funny !
I don't think he gets the accolades he deserves, he's also an amazing bass player!! Just watch him on Andertons all about the Bass!
@ yes that’s where I saw him 😉👊🏻
I actually worked with Nathan around 40 years ago on his demos. Lovely (and talented) guy!
so cool that these guys are still touring together - thx for sharing this 🤩👍🏽
One of my favoured bands from back in the day . Sounding better than ever. Might have to go see them

Who’s the drummer now ? Gary husband ?
Pete Ray Biggin
Danke für die ausgezeichnete Aufnahme - das Konzert war klasse
This was fun, big thanks for this post!
Did you cut out “Something about you” in between Starchild and Lessons in Love?
Drum & Bass!!! Pete and Mark are locked together like Siamease twins!! It's always the rhythm section that makes a band.
Yeah! Great again..My heros..since 1984...alwais I Play bass on their tunes

Very similar here - just started to play Heathrow again and realised what a fantastic song it is!
Vielen Dank für das ausgezeichnete Video.👍
Mark King has been chewing the same bubble gum since the 80s.
🤣😂🤣🤣👌
nothing wrong with that
Even his brother chews bubble gum. It´s running in the family, it seems. ☺
@SabineHehner 😅
Yeah,from his Arse 😂
BIG Thx Christopher!!!

I always wondered what the bass and drums setting was on my electronics. Did I not hear their biggest tune? There's something about this.
Thank you for this 🙏🏻
