Camryn Colella I saw her for the first time on Broadway in If/Then and she was FANTASTIC. I was so excited to see her get this role and I hope I'm able to see her in this! I'm obsessed with this performance.

I can hear the pain in her voice when she says, "used as the bomb". It's so real and makes you think more about everyday life and how quickly something you lvoe can be taken away. This is the most heartwarming musical ever
I work in film festivals and I keep thinking about that line "the one thing I loved more than anything was used as the bomb" in relation to our current reality and wondering how long it will be, just like how everyone was afraid of flying after 9/11, until I can have that world back again. I appreciate this song even more now than before.

Jen did an amazing job portraying Beverly Bass! I've seen it a number of times (I ASL interpreted the tour here in Minneapolis) and cried every, single time! To be honest, when I first read the script I thought, "They made a musical out of this!?" But I tell you, some shows play much better than they read. This one's in my top five!!
This entire show is so underrated. Come From Away is the musical the world needs right now, a story about love and triumph. This song makes me ugly cry so bad.

@@PeterParker-hf8ok Odd, everyone I know who has seen is has considered it almost life changing, including myself. I suppose no musical is for everyone but it has won numerous awards and the show is a gift to the theatre community in my opinion. Also Come From Away has a 5 star rating on TripAdvisor in both London and New York, so I'm not sure the majority would. It's a hit for sure.

I love the way everyone is looking at her. It's like they are being endlessly inspired by her talent.
We got to see this production when it came to Toronto. It meant so much after having visited Newfoundland the previous summer. It is the best show we've seen so far. Amazing music. Newfoundlanders are truly friendly and generous as portrayed in the show. So happy to be able to listen to this song by this talented singer and absorb the words.
This is my daughters’ FAVORITE song. They love hearing the story of a woman following her dream and doing what she loves. We all sing along every time in the car.

I saw Jenn's performance on "The View" where she sang "Me & The Sky" and I literally fell to my knees and cried at the lyrics "The one thing I loved more then anything was used as a bomb". There are simply no words to express the overwhelming emotions. Even sitting here and watching this video has me crying. My heart is absolutely broken. Operation Yellow Ribbon was the most beautiful gesture of unbridled love and compassion and unity one country could ever show another.
This is the one line that hits me like a ton of bricks no matter how many times I listen to this song. Each song on this soundtrack has a moment like that (except for In the Bar/Heave Away and Screech In). Every song has at least one moment that hits hard on the soul, no matter how many times I hear it.

My mom worked for united when 9/11 happened, and when we saw Come From Away this song is the one that made her sob because it described exactly how she felt recieving the news. Keep doing what you’re doing, Jenn.

It's amazing how she's able to channel the same energy a performer would have singing to a live audience and bring it to a small studio. All the little quirks and ad libs she does, and the way her voice breaks during the line about a plane being used as a bomb. She never fails to give it her all!
Just saw this show last night. An incredible force of humor, generosity, and human emotion. I didn't really know what to expect, but I was enchanted by the entire production. The whole cast was incredible (as was the on-stage band), and the show overall gives you hope in humanity. Get your tickets while you still (kind of) can...they've been selling out since previews began! Standing room only!

Jenn Colella captured, bottled and repeatedly, forcefully redistributed the spirit of this story, and the joy of simple kindness which the story shares with its audience. The Come From Away interviews that include Jenn on TH-cam are genuinely inspiring and well worth one's time.
She’s just perfection. Perfect for this part. I’ve seen Rachel, Alice and a few others tackle this song. And they just don’t eat it like she does. She truly believes every word and everyone around her does.

I love how in every version I've heard her voice breaks when she gets to the line "the one thing I love more than anything was used as the bomb." You really feel the impact of the pain she feels having built her life around airplanes and how flying is her passion and then the terrorist used an airplane for the attack.

Beverley Bass is a prime example of how a woman CAN have it all: A successful, competitive job where she is gone for stretches of days at a time, AND a family. Oh, and an entire broadway song about you and your life, brought to life by the absolutely amazing Jenn Colella.

Jenn Colella never fails to make me cry and have chills, so thankful I got to see her months ago on stage being a beacon for strong female leads and powerful women everywhere. I got to see the show as a traveling broadway recently and it was just as beautiful however nothing compares to her voice and her stage presence. The amount of times I’ve cried watching videos like this just because of her voice. Thank you jenn.
I can't stop singing this song and when I do it's right there in the back of my mind. I'm addicted to it . And yes it gives me goosebumps every time I play it. I remember 9/11 so well and being Canadian I remember the great influx of US airplanes on our tiny runway in Abbotsford British Columbia. There were planes in every space just jammed in .However there is nothing like the folks from Newfoundland. Come from Away is a very accurate portrayal of what happened .and their hospitality Im happy we were able to help,our friends at a very difficult time. ❤️❤️❤️
i just heard this song on the radio for the 1st time and i thought wow, what a voice , what a song and what a story. I had to come on here to find out more about Jenn and also Beverley Bass who the song is about. It's now saved to my favs.
This song, I heard it this week for the first time. I was walking through town, luckily it’s quiet on the streets with only a few people doing their rounds too. But had to turn my face walking past, cause I was crying. And the other day, in the train, tears had to be held back. This song is just everything.

I just got back from seeing this show. It's in previews now on Broadway and is selling out every night. If you have a chance to see it, DO IT! The show is phenomenal! And this number is even better live. Which, I know, may seem hard to believe, but it's true.

I love this song not only this song the whole musical that tell the story of a wonderful group people who help others on a day that no one will ever forget but these people gave up their lives for 5 days to help others ,it will show humanity what people are really are I saw this musical in Dublin a few ago but I will see it again

I can't even count the number of times I've listened to the cast recording as well as every televised performance of this song, and yet this version is still my favorite, even over the Cast Recording. i just recently discovered this show. ive always loved me and the sky but never listened to the full show bc honestly there’s not much talk about it online when there definitely should be. i went on a trip and listened to the whole soundtrack otw there and my god it’s so beautiful. and jenn’s voice is so stunning and her acting is phenomenal with the little details she adds to the performance whether it be as Annette or Capt Bass. i dont think anyone could fill the role as well as she did and i cant stress enough how beautiful her voice is and how i love listening to her sing. i wish i couldve seen her in the obc but i look forward to seeing her in other productions or roles in the future. 🤍
