    Glad somebody made a paint set for this camouflage, it was such a pain in the butt to try to mix paint to get it. Great job Shane I really like your tutorials they help me out a bunch.

      Is this set good for all the different German camo patterns.

    • @longlance67
      @longlance67  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      StatismKills it is good for the various oak leaf and plane tree patterns though for German army and Fallschrimjager patterns mainly splinter patterns you would have go else where

    Awesome video once again mate, keep them coming thank you.. I would like to hear some tips for painting the tiny tiny badges and belts etc on 1/35 figures.. I'm struggling to find a brush that will allow me to paint a third Reich eagle or iron cross without smudging ?? Your help would be most useful thanks..

    • @longlance67
      @longlance67  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks Mikey ! as for small detail painting. You really need to invest in a decent brush, doesn't need to be super expensive but something in the 10-15 dollars range would get you brush with a run point that will not fray with use which is super important with this type of work.
      Brush sizes would be anything from a 1 to 00 round depending on how fine a point you feel you need. Personally I find 1 or 0 works well from the Wensor and Newton Cottman range, they well priced and very good.
      Another point to bear in mind, is how you brace your and brush as you paint. its not always clear in my videos but I brace my brush hand against the hand holding the figure. basically the ball of my wrist against heel of my thumb of the hand holding the model. This gives me a very stable platform to paint those tiny details without my hand shaking too much

    Well over a year old, but still completely relevant. I need to start doing you tube vids again. Question on that, are you using your phone or a camera or what. Could you PM me, would be great. I think doing these vids again would help build my commission business up more!

    • @longlance67
      @longlance67  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      so I use my phone to record the narration once the video is edited so the best bit of advice to keep this mind when you are editing to ensure you give yourself plenty of time to describe your method in the narration

    Absolutely beautiful. Your painting skills are really jaw-dropping. I noticed that this camo is actually plane tree, not oak leaf. Oak leaf has a blend of much brighter, and more dots in the centre of each dark blotch. However, still fantastic, 10/10 for me. May I ask the figure and what brand it is from?
    Cheers and happy painting!

    • @longlance67
      @longlance67  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks Yannick, I think you may be right about the camo being plane tree over oak leaf camo, just made up new thumbnail with the revised camo.
