I have thought about this song probably twice a week since I heard it over ten years ago. Incredible work to to whoever made this. As insane as it may sound, you have legitimately influenced how I view music as a whole.
It's from Konami's Castlevania concept album "Castlevania: Perfect Selection Dracula Battle" Track #2, Composer 柴田直人プロジェクト, Released in 1994, how do I know? The CD is 2ft from me.
So I remember this song from before the internet. So turns out there was two versions of Castlevania Symphony of the Night, one of which was a black disc version. If you placed it into your cd player, it would play track one, which would be silent. If you skipped it and went to track two, you would hear audio from Alucard stating that you've discovered a Playstation black disc that had a music track on the second track. He then said and I quote, "the first track contains important game data, so please don't play it. But you probably won't listen to me, will you." Then this song would start playing immediately and as a kid you don't know how excited I was to discover an Easter egg that was the game disc itself completely by accident.
This is one of my favorite versions of the song. I have about 12 versions of this song on my computer right now. This version of the song was done by Kukeiha Club.
Imo i didn't expect anything more from No.9, only better graphics but u know that's okay. I actually can't even look at this shit know as the Castlevania reboot ugh
Perfect Selection: Dracula Battle (Japanese パーフェクトセレクション ドラキュラ・バトル) is an album arranged by Naoto Shibata and performed by 柴田直人プロジェクト (Naoto Shibata PROJECT), a group of musicians he put together. This album features hard rock renditions of several classic Akumajō Dracula (Castlevania) themes. It was released in Japan on July 21, 1994. The catalogue code for this album is KICA-1145.
I haven't heard this song since the MYSPACE days. "Born to be Akatsuki" it was labeled, so I never knew the original name. But I had been listening to Bloody Tears and thought .. "Wait, this sounds like THAT song" and... here I am. I'm so happy.
Megadriver, The Black Mages, and Demetori are metal bands that cover video game music, though the latter two may encorporate keyboards more. Still Remains is a metal band that includes a keyboards. I'd recommend the song like "White Walls" (im recommending a particular song because you can't expect every song by a band to have the sound you're looking for)
Dudes... These arrangements were made by Naoto Shibata, not Cradle of Filth, not any other metal band. This and other metal versions of classic Castlevania songs are available in a compilation called Perfect Selection: Dracula Battle I and II.
Imo, still the best version I've ever heard. I grabbed this year's ago off of kazaa or maybe it was Morpheus or possibly even LimeWire I can't remember, but what I do remember was that this was awesome!
This is a throughly bad ass album and this is one of the best tunes on it. Love those ending guitar riffs, they sound like something from a Slayer album! Naoto Shibata did a great job with this album and he has reason to be proud.
This song is "Bloody Tears - Castlevania 2 (1988)" by the power metal band "Castlevania". The title is from the album "Castle of Power". The band is also on Encyclopedia Metallum. Browse it!
If you have EVER given up on a game because of an impossible boss, play this in the background while you retry: you'll win by way of feeling over-powered from this over-epic music.
Castlevania is the name of the video game series. It's composed by Michiru Yamane, and if I remember right, this version appeared in Symphony of the Night.
In my opinion, the best version of this song out there
not that i know
+FullmetalTimo S.S.H. Has some really good versions also. My favorite is the medley he does called "Travel Demon"
+FullmetalTimo you should listen to this version, trust me, you will never go back!!
Melodic Instrumental Rock / METAL Arrangements #114
omg
No contest. The guitars are incredible, but that organ music? Absolute masterpiece.
This song is performed by Naoto Shibata Project, from the album "Dracula Battle- Perfect Selection" It's awesome!
THANKS! I was looking for this. I know this song since I was a little boy, I never knew who played it until now :)
I love you! xD
Oh man! thank you!
THANK YOU!!!! YOU'RE THE MVP
"This song ***is*** performed..."

I remember the 13 year old me downloading this on limewire to a 128 mb MP3 player
Bro it's def a relic on my old Pentium 2. Such a masterpiece. Gives me chills every time
I was 19 yrs old and got it "burned" on Nero...as an mp3 on a compact disc...those days huh? ❤❤❤
My dad had this on his old phone back then in 2012. Good times.
Me too! This was like the first song to get me into rock and metal music as a whole!
This version is so nostalgic to me, I've been listening it since it was first uploaded here on youtube.
The final guitar solo made me cry
Who else remembers downloading this as "Cradle of Filth - Castlevania"?
Iron Maiden 😅
I do when I downloaded from limewire haha good times 😂.
Haha...yes😂
Yup that's how I got it
Yooooo
Every Halloween I play this song out my windows on repeat the entire night not had a single complaint yet lol
+Legs05
seems like your neighborhood is full of Castlevania fans.
Or maybe nobody's willing to venture inside and be forced to fight Dracula
Make it a night long playlist of metal covers of Castlevania songs and people will start a peregrination to your house
I keep coming back to this every now and then for months now. Just awesome.
Raziel Milky Oh I should again, thanks. :D
Listen to it again in 2016 man! why not?
2017 still loving it
How about 2024, bro?
@@rogue-like4life I'm no longer a bro, but sure why not, let's give this another listen.
This is by far my favorite version of Bloody Tears!
absolutely the most fantastic cover of this song- been looking for a while!!!!
Best version ever. Some Iron Maiden and the feeling of Deep Purple... THX
I have thought about this song probably twice a week since I heard it over ten years ago. Incredible work to to whoever made this. As insane as it may sound, you have legitimately influenced how I view music as a whole.
What an incredible theme! the guitar, drums and that vampiric-like organ sounds excellent. It's just an awesome song man.
I almost cried. Damn, this is SO FUCKING AMAZING.
Gabriel Goes I did cry
I began weeping and I couldn't hold back the bloody tears.
@@cromwell1451 lmao nice one
@@cromwell1451 holy shit, ten fucking years

I just got a hankering to listen to this, tried other versions and then seen this thumbnail and nothing scratches that itch like this does
I was searching for this version forever, finally I've found it.
i love this arrangement. + epic guitarist + epic vibrato

I’m pretty sure a different track played and not this
This isn't "gothic metal". This is heavy metal. (: I like.
This is one of my favorite versions of the song. I have about 12 versions of this song on my computer right now. This version of the song was done by Kukeiha Club.
15 years since i hear this for the first time and its still hard a f#ck
still the very best ever rendition of this piece. naoto is a master.
This is just plain old heavy metal.
And man do I like it.
2022 and it's still the best version out there 🤘🤘🤘
Been out 26 years, and still the best. Enough said.
Simon says turn up the speed to 1.25
Niceeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are my hero
It's like when you were playing the european 50Hz version and you just discover the 60Hz one haha
When its at 1.25 speed it sounds like a megaman x stage
Are you playing Simon Says, or is this a messgae from Simon Belmont?
Im here in 2022! Still one of my favorite versions!
Rest In Peace Castlevania, we will miss you.
Being reborn as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, made by Iga himself. Check it out if you haven't. The demo was purty fun.
What happened?
Mighty No. 9
Imo i didn't expect anything more from No.9, only better graphics but u know that's okay. I actually can't even look at this shit know as the Castlevania reboot ugh
I think Bloodstained RotN is an excellent entry in the Metroidvania genre

I love how this version was played in a circus here in my city, so i decided to search for this and found it.
Em 2008 eu baixei essa música e tenho o Mp3 dela até hoje.
Hoje encontro essa reliquia no youtube novamente.😁
1:44 I love this synth solo lml
This version is really good! I love the innovation of the electric guitar!
I remember downloading this in the early 2000 as a Cradle of Filth song in Ares
jajaja asi la descargué tambien yo
Ahahaha me too ;)
it took me years to realize it wasn't cradle of filth
me too : ))))
Same
who ever made this song, he made a master piece of music. awesome song!
any chance you can add it to Spotify
I haven't heard this song since the MYSPACE days. "Born to be Akatsuki" it was labeled, so I never knew the original name. But I had been listening to Bloody Tears and thought .. "Wait, this sounds like THAT song" and... here I am.

Killing spree brought me here
Great great track
Can someone please recommend any band that may have a similar sound to this? Thanks.
Christian Metal? xd
Megadriver, The Black Mages, and Demetori are metal bands that cover video game music, though the latter two may encorporate keyboards more.
Still Remains is a metal band that includes a keyboards. I'd recommend the song like "White Walls" (im recommending a particular song because you can't expect every song by a band to have the sound you're looking for)
Thanks, I'll try these. Yeah, I was thinking about bands that incorporate harpsichord and organ-like keyboards, maybe a gothic or power metal band.
Gabriel Goes Not Gothic or Power Metal, but I'd say early Children Of Bodom.
Cradle of filth Album : cruelty and the beast
NEVER GETS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best version in you tube!!!!!!
that's not gothic metal but it's very very good ImI !
Nothing short of amazing!!!! Friggin' A!!!!!!

I stumbled upon this lit music 16 years ago and coming back here now, I still have the link saved in my records note.

I just found one and two, thx for posting
Good lord it has been ages since I've listened to this song. So old, yet neigh unbeatable in terms of awesome. Brings back some fond memories...

Pure awesommness, badassnes and majesty
This is a throughly bad ass album and this is one of the best tunes on it. Love those ending guitar riffs, they sound like something from a Slayer album! Naoto Shibata did a great job with this album and he has reason to be proud.
I think I fell in love with Castlevania once again.
the real work of art is the original music that gives life to these remixes....
