I’m like a kid in a candy store by discovering something new about one of my favorite games of all time, so thank you for that!

It's actually a very friendly game! I recommend it, even as someone's first try in the genre. The beginning with Richter controls a bit differently, but you can't die in that fight, so it doesn't matter. I think the most complex parts are remembering to equip new weapons with higher attack, remembering to save, and using the map to figure out where to go when stuck.
I've played this game probably around 20 times, and I only just realized now that Maria has Tifa Lockhart's hair style from classic FF7. Only her hair is blonde.
Thanks for the help I was so lost I missed those platforms in the upper left hand corner of the map where you go up the long stairs with the skull totems then fight that sword thing I didn't see there were the platforms on the right and left hand sides
Firebrand was the best sword I could find in the game and from what it looks like it's one of the best cuz he kept using it until he found the super fast sword

My favorite thing to do was cheat with the money and buy the Diamond armor as soon as you get to the Librarian. Then you only 1 damage for the rest of the game.
At 2:06:43 down in the cavern or the mine or whatever where the boatman is, the barrel throwing skeleton doesn't appear there for me?? I know I need to lure him in order to break those boards so idk what's up with that, I've been watching this video every time I get stuck and so far I've done everything you've done

Hola, hay 2 mecanismos en la pared, en dos salas, en total 4 mecanismos, debes golpearlos X veces hasta que hagan un ruido sordo, (si te pasas tienes que seguir hasta volver a oírlo) Cuando llegues estará abierto

That’s the Hellfire spell. Using the D-pad, you have to press Up, Down, Down-Forward, Forward in one smooth motion and then press the attack button (usually Square or Circle on the PlayStation). If you’re facing right, the controller input looks like this: ⬆️⬇️↘️➡️+⏹ The normal version shoots the three fireballs, but if you hold Up after pressing the attack button, you’ll get the version with the two larger fireballs with black and yellow. Also, you can move left or right by pressing Left or Right on the D-pad after you press attack, but once Ali are reappears out of the teleport you’re stuck in that position and direction. Good luck!
To open that door, you have to hit all four gears in the clock tower until they all make that distinctive “click” sound, instead of the normal “turning” sound. There are two gears in each of the two large vertical sections of the clock tower with the Medusa heads and harpy enemies. Good luck!
