I'm not sure what it means, but catching a glimpse of you talking about not!people and the like gave me more clues about the overall series than I want in god damn episode 3. I'd rather not know which episodes are monster-of-the week and which are Arc episodes

the most unlikely thing of this whole story is the person with a concussion watching tv the day of the concussion. cuz its almost impossible to watch electronics or most sensory things with a concussion. other than that really good.
Oh yeah, that sparked a memory. The worst concussion I ever had I fell down the stairs and hit my head on the tile floor. My family tried to watch something with me to calm me down, but my vision had become extremely blurry, to a point where I couldn't really see at all.
Okay, I have only just found out about this series tonight, and I have some thoughts. I have seen none of what’s to come but this is my thinking: I think this is connected to the anglerfish somehow. In episode 1, it mentions the swaying figure and the possibility that a hand is at least part of its real body. In this one, we have a swaying long hand. Not a lot to go off of, but I think these are creatures of the same species or the same creature altogether. They also both have to do with fake identity, the anglerfish making a fake body and this creature assuming someone else’s identity. No clue what the truth is, but this must be part of it!
Jon remembered the table from this statement and its relationship to a replaced person. He just didn't understand the nature of the entities at that point and made an understandable error.

this is by far the scariest episode as of yet. I close my eyes I see him standing there at his window, staring at me with his blank expression and cold calculating eyes piercing right into me. Those eyes scream you're next and I will get you.
ooh boy this one got me. the description of this monster, spindly enough to be mistaken for pipe, shifting like a magic eye picture instead of moving is so vivid to me. i can't really think of what the connection would be between the notebooks, the table, and the creature would actually be? but whatever changeling type creature got graham, it seemed like it knew that amy had witnessed it, and was almost gleefully sinister in letting her know that. very creepy that there only appear to be a few old photos left showing the real graham.
So, I feel that this entity obviously stole Grahams identity, my question is how did Graham know that he was being stalked by whatever the other entity was? I just started listening to this podcast so no spoilers please!

I just started this series and I would like to say that from the last episode. THAT ESCALATED VERY QUICKLY. I think this episode just got me hooked on the series.
God relistening to these once you're caught up makes you notice so many things that felt like one-off details! This is the first appearance of the Not!Them! Amazing! Such early foreshadowing!

I only know about the magnus archives through tumblr, and I figured I would give in and start listening to them. The first two episodes, while creepy, game me a sense of calm while listening that almost put me to sleep. hearing about the limbs climbing in through the windows was creepy, but not as creepy as what could've been in the coffin then I realized that this graham was wrong, that he was a not!Graham. I can honestly say I've never broken out in a cold sweat before in my life until now. the realization of what had happened is still making me shiver
Relistening to this episode after finishing the entire podcast is crazily amazing. The first time I was more scared now I'm sad for the guy but also more terrified in a worried way? I wonder how Graham knew the not!him is about to replace him, like obviously he knew because of the table but I wonder how. I've assumed Graham was marked by the Eye due to the paranoia, notebooks, and "keep watching." Graham is canonically supposed to be Oliver Blake's ex-boyfriend. It would seem one or both of them had an encounter at some point that marked them as Oliver became an avatar, and Graham was killed. I just don't understand how the table got from Abalard Decker's possession to a where Graham found it.
Ok this ep was a bit confusing in my opinion, because there's a lot of lore going on and there's two sides i really need to know. Im still new with this so im gonna have to come up with theories (so no spoilers please) But seriously, poor Graham. Imagine just chilling and trying to enjoy your day, but you cant because there's not one, but two stalkers stalking you. One your neighbor/classmate and two, a monster. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it was happening twice.
Returning to this series, 3 years later, to try and actually finish it. I don't know why, but this episode has to be one of my favorites. Maybe it's because I found it to be creepier than most of the other episodes that I've listened to....? I just don't know. I just love it.

Hayley Larson it doesn’t have anything to do with the story, really. A skinwalker is a Navajo term for a witch that can shapeshift into animals. The term just kinda got adopted into modern horror as “scary thing that steals skin” or something along those lines lmao
spoilers, kinda . . . . i think it's really interesting how the Stranger and specifically the avatar 'Not-Them' work because only people who aren't really close to someone prior to their bodies being taken can tell that they are not the same person afterwards examples: this episode (they aren't close friends), melanie with sasha, that one statement of a girl with her mother (they aren't that close), etc.

major, series ending, world shattering spoilers ahead: So on a rewatch of this series I've come to appreciate the INSANE foreshadowing going on, and I may have put something together here: In a later episode we learn that the "Not Them" was trapped by the Web, and it's obvious that the narrator here is at least partially influenced by the Eye. So what if the Web KNEW Magnus was gonna try ending the world, and had this lady's neighbor replaced so she'd report it to the Magnus Institute, thereby tempting them to find and store the table. WHY? because the Web WANTED Jon dead because it also also knew Jon was the lynch-pin in Magnus' plan. And HOLY SHIT the recording and storing of Jon's voice for the ep 199 plan was PLAN B. They were SO FAR AHEAD, that the ENTIRE series is just the web preparing it's backup plan incase Anabelle, or the Not Them fails to kill Jon. Hell, let's go even further, maybe it tried killing him ITSELF when he was a kid? There's no telling how far it can see into the future, but holy shit is this amazing writing

the most unlikely thing of this whole story is the person with a concussion watching tv the day of the concussion. cuz its almost impossible to watch electronics or most sensory things with a concussion. other than that really good.
Oh yeah, that sparked a memory. The worst concussion I ever had I fell down the stairs and hit my head on the tile floor. My family tried to watch something with me to calm me down, but my vision had become extremely blurry, to a point where I couldn't really see at all.

Okay, I have only just found out about this series tonight, and I have some thoughts. I have seen none of what’s to come but this is my thinking:
I think this is connected to the anglerfish somehow. In episode 1, it mentions the swaying figure and the possibility that a hand is at least part of its real body. In this one, we have a swaying long hand. Not a lot to go off of, but I think these are creatures of the same species or the same creature altogether. They also both have to do with fake identity, the anglerfish making a fake body and this creature assuming someone else’s identity. No clue what the truth is, but this must be part of it!

I'm still convinced that the hands in both episodes are a similar species or as far fetched as it may be, perhaps a hybrid of some sort.

I am new to these, so no spoilers, but I think that Graham knew that he was being watched and maybe hoped that if Amy kept watching him, the creature would not...do whatever it did. Maybe he even acted weird to get her to keep watching? I don't know.

This killed me.
this is by far the scariest episode as of yet. I close my eyes I see him standing there at his window, staring at me with his blank expression and cold calculating eyes piercing right into me. Those eyes scream you're next and I will get you.

"I love horror! It's my favorite genre!"
Also me after watching anything remotely scary:

ooh boy this one got me. the description of this monster, spindly enough to be mistaken for pipe, shifting like a magic eye picture instead of moving is so vivid to me. i can't really think of what the connection would be between the notebooks, the table, and the creature would actually be? but whatever changeling type creature got graham, it seemed like it knew that amy had witnessed it, and was almost gleefully sinister in letting her know that. very creepy that there only appear to be a few old photos left showing the real graham.
So, I feel that this entity obviously stole Grahams identity, my question is how did Graham know that he was being stalked by whatever the other entity was? I just started listening to this podcast so no spoilers please!

Since he was registered at multiple colleges a couple of years after his parents' death, but before the creature got him, I must assume that it had been hunting him for a while and he just kept moving to avoid it.
I just started this series and I would like to say that from the last episode. THAT ESCALATED VERY QUICKLY. I think this episode just got me hooked on the series.

I only know about the magnus archives through tumblr, and I figured I would give in and start listening to them. The first two episodes, while creepy, game me a sense of calm while listening that almost put me to sleep.
hearing about the limbs climbing in through the windows was creepy, but not as creepy as what could've been in the coffin
then I realized that this graham was wrong, that he was a not!Graham.
I can honestly say I've never broken out in a cold sweat before in my life until now. the realization of what had happened is still making me shiver

I've assumed Graham was marked by the Eye due to the paranoia, notebooks, and "keep watching."
Graham is canonically supposed to be Oliver Blake's ex-boyfriend. It would seem one or both of them had an encounter at some point that marked them as Oliver became an avatar, and Graham was killed.
I just don't understand how the table got from Abalard Decker's possession to a where Graham found it.

Ok this ep was a bit confusing in my opinion, because there's a lot of lore going on and there's two sides i really need to know.
Im still new with this so im gonna have to come up with theories (so no spoilers please)
But seriously, poor Graham. Imagine just chilling and trying to enjoy your day, but you cant because there's not one, but two stalkers stalking you. One your neighbor/classmate and two, a monster.

Hayley Larson it doesn’t have anything to do with the story, really. A skinwalker is a Navajo term for a witch that can shapeshift into animals. The term just kinda got adopted into modern horror as “scary thing that steals skin” or something along those lines lmao

major, series ending, world shattering spoilers ahead:
So on a rewatch of this series I've come to appreciate the INSANE foreshadowing going on, and I may have put something together here: In a later episode we learn that the "Not Them" was trapped by the Web, and it's obvious that the narrator here is at least partially influenced by the Eye. So what if the Web KNEW Magnus was gonna try ending the world, and had this lady's neighbor replaced so she'd report it to the Magnus Institute, thereby tempting them to find and store the table. WHY? because the Web WANTED Jon dead because it also also knew Jon was the lynch-pin in Magnus' plan. And HOLY SHIT the recording and storing of Jon's voice for the ep 199 plan was PLAN B. They were SO FAR AHEAD, that the ENTIRE series is just the web preparing it's backup plan incase Anabelle, or the Not Them fails to kill Jon. Hell, let's go even further, maybe it tried killing him ITSELF when he was a kid? There's no telling how far it can see into the future, but holy shit is this amazing writing

When the notebooks content was presented i got really creep out my thinking is that whatever the holy fuck was that thing it hunted Graham to take his place and poor Graham was under somehow aware of it and was kept an eye for it until that fateful night he failed witch resulted in things stealing it identity and memories. Also it seem aware that Amy was watching Graham throughout and that she send police... Overall slow burnish but shit got real at the ending part
