Ask a local around, it’s like a “no wonder” knowledge that engineering faculty will go to this extent. But it’s getting better nowadays because most governments and education ministries have prohibited hazing activities for new students. Even though a few others may still apply in “quiet” a.k.a doing it illegally under the name of “tradition.”
They really did it here, but not that hard. It's similar in Indonesia and engineering faculty in almost universities is always known with the most tough orientations than other faculties

I remember when hazing didn't mean anything like this... in my college, my seniors were really nice... they did ask our names and high school questions...but everything was enjoyable and never out of limits...people knew how to make and take jokes but never cross boundaries. I like how they knew from looking at a person how to interact with them and this made us both respect and love them. After the initial 1 month I remember sitting with, joking with them, playing or going to competitions with them. I always thought this was necessary as it established a relation of senior junior respect. Hazing should be in limit and never to make people uncomfortable, then it just becomes plain ragging, bullying and harassment. ....I know it's exaggerated for the show but in my nation I have heard and seen some real horrific casualties of this in other colleges.
When I watched this show especially during the earlier eps, I really believed Arthit's alpha aura, as it turns out in real life he's very fluffy and squishy cute so its kind of funny to watch it again 😂
I really like the dynamics here. Kong is unable to say no to the people he cares about, and arthit isn't actually as harsh as he appears to be. They will be good for each other.

Amino MAJ it's not just fiction, in real life, a lot of asian countries adapt this kind of seniority acts in universities. I live in Indonesia and the initiation was a lot worse than this actually haha
That's unfortunate. I get it if it is done to discipline unwanted behaviors, but what I see here isn't. I live in Asia as well, Philippines to be exact. Cheers! :)) our university initiations are fun like having freshmen walk into the known Arch of the Centuries of the univ. Another is to run around naked while having your face covered. Others have parties and concerts which are truly welcoming. The only ones that provide harsh punishments are usually parents hahahaha. We have fraternities and sororities but they're look down upon since many students have died already due to harsh hazing.

LOL did you really ran around naked? how funnn I want those kind of activities tbh. I'm still in the initiation process as in now, it's been going on for 6 months and it's exhausting... I just want to know the point of it :(
Glad to hear that we both agree on the same point haha. I haven't tried running naked. It's a tradition of another known university here. My brother did but I never bothered to go and watch them have the initiation. It's concerts and parties I had experienced back in univ. It was fun and my seniors were actually really helpful. They have had us join organizations which help the community and other things. How unfortunate it is to know you guys have to deal with these hazing things. I can't provide you with any tip or something that would ease it, as we have different cultures. But I hope you have fun while staying. :))

The ones who encourage us to do the things we're interested in and to grow there. I wish there were more of them 😅. Don't worry, it's almost over anyways, only 4 to 5 months to go and we're free. Guess I'll just have to endure until then!
