      @qadventures When I was in school there was 1 portal to a computer. No screen. Just a printer. Sometimes I forget just how much has changed. We were still using bias ply tires!

      People forget that their gardeners, security guards, maids, and trike drivers need a place to live. A heck of a lot wealthy communities have informal settlements right outside the walls…

    Be proud of yourself and never complain about your current situation. Its always up to you so take a bag, some neighbours and remove the trash. Your community would look so much nicer without all the trash

      These condos are mostly 1 or 2 bedrooms and range from $200 to $500 USD per month depending on furnishing. Most these jobs are not filled by residents of these communities. These residents are usually laborers or fishermen that earns about $8 per day while feeding big families

    No, whats really sad is reading judgmental comments by entitled Karens on the living condition of some of the most beautiful hearted & very humble folk who by whatever circumstance find themselves on the other side of the tracks are still able too thrive amid the many luxurious amenities towering above this community is in my very own opinion is in fact the point being made with this video...and in typical fashion instead of looking for the great humanity inside these ppl making do with less possessions we get annoying observations as if these locals have access too weekly waste management operations like us that have these very privileges in the west...boy, the audacity of it all...smmfh 🙄

      It’s always an eye opener when I see the comments you’re talking about. I spent over 7 years in and around the Philippines. When I first came back to the states I was disgusted with American’s treatment of dogs. It bothered me that these American pets were better fed than many of the people I had interacted with. Still bothers me when I read judgmental comments from people that have no clue at all

    Ya, very sad to see this. Most Filipinas are taught English in school. Those that cant afford school only learn their local dialect unfortunately.
    Their is hardly any garbage collection done in the Philippines. Burn it, throw it down the hill, or in the creek that goes out to sea, is the way its disposed of mostly.

      when you have nothing to eat the last thing you worry about is where you trow trash , the wealthier people are the more they care about these things for these people its all about survival .

      There's probably no weekly trash pickup service. I've heard that's a big problem in areas of the Philippines especially for the poor. So they don't have a good method to dispose trash other than to burn.

      Thank you for your concern as I have consulted local government and law enforcement and had their blessings. As I don't know their age, I do agree they are young. My line of questions were basic and not intrusive at all, but I understand what is intrusive is subjective. With the awareness of law enforcement and local community members, I DO mentor ans sponsor a few kids in my surrounding neighborhood and I would have never had the chance without 1st having a conversation. I speak with young and old (as you can see from my content); one in which is a senior citizen who I was able to help go home and passed on in peace at home.
      I understand your concern and it's valid. At the same time, I am glad I live here now and not there, where an innocent conversation (regardless of age) can be misconstrued as "inappropriate".

    With no money for trash disposal... it ends up everywhere unfortunately.
    Very tough to govern 8,000 islands with 180 different languages and dialects.
    Regulations and laws are difficult if not impossible for these micro encampments.
    Takes lots and lots of money to clean up in any country.
    Canada is blessed for garbage... 2nd biggest country in the entire world and a population of only 40 million ish .... we have heavy-duty fines for people who toss stuff... but it still happens here too... unfortunately, there are always some who just don't get the BIG picture.

    I think the reason some vloggers like making this kind of contents about poor people is they get to make themselves look smart as if they care and also feel like rockstars in provinces. I'd like to see you talk to educated well off people like that in places like BGC and other modern cities 😇👍! The reason most vloggers don't is because they either get ignored or don't get much attention 👍😇!
