I really like your video. You're very professional at this and informative! This is good for beginners too. I use the Simple moisturiser and its very good. Yes, this can work well :) However, if you have really oily skin, I recommend adding something lighter afterwards, like a hydrating toner, essence or serum :)

Did they add niacinamide in this recently? I bought this last year and it didn't contain niacinamide plus it broke me out. Bought it again last week and it has niacinamide now and no breakouts so I'm guessing they recently reformulated?
Hi Melissa, is this moisturiser good for acne prone skin (sensitive+ oily) and which cleanser can i use for my skin? Pls advice me i have been seeking for advice but non of them seem to help
Hey! :) To give you an idea, see here: The Ordinary Skincare Routine for Oily Acne Prone Skin: th-cam.com/video/BoLMjpkcDSw/w-d-xo.html You could recreate the routine with similar serums/treatments from different brands. It's primarily Niacinamide and/or Azelaic Acid, Salicylic Acid, and/or Retinol/Retinoid. Generally, I recommend not using a moisturizer if you have oily skin. Instead, use a hydrating toner, essence or serum since those products are usually lighter on the skin + hydrate the skin.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet But all beauty tips I found on online always said need to use moisturizer even for oily skin. But yeah avoid the cream type. Said hydrating toner wont give you some barrier protection or so.. But indeed its often too heavy for me. I havent met any holy grail product for me yet. Esp since I live in humid hot tropical country..
@@sheilashineleofany822 Yes, because they all want to sell you some products ;) or they may not even have tried it themselves. I used to live in the tropics myself, and I don't have oily skin; it's more combination skin. I've never used a moisturizer; if I did, it felt too heavy. I preferred to not use anything at all, especially during the day, or just a light hydrating toner, essence, or serum - whatever feels good on your skin! :)
Hi I'm also hunting for a best fragrance free moisturizer I have had sensitive and rash prone skin when ever I go for any fragrance free moisturizer it's having a wiered smell that also my skin is not tolerating could u recommend any moisturizer with no smell like" water"
Sometimes a product said "scented free" but they add bunch of masking agent because certain ingredients can smell really bad. On the other hand fragrance free still can contain smell from plants used in the ingredients.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Not for me then😪 as you know I'm on tret and skin is feeling so dehydrated and dry right now!! I feel like the CeraVe lotion is not enough for me and it stings sometimes a lil when my barrier gets compromised I need something More hydrating but with a light texture 😵

That it just how the ingredients smell, so, therefore, companies often use fragrances or a so-called "masking fragrance".
Sometimes a product said "scented free" but they add bunch of masking agent because certain ingredients can smell really bad.
