- In the penultimate installment of Pretty Sweet Tuesdays, we explore the phenomenon that is the "sponsor me" tape. Sam Smyth, Girl and Chocolate's team manager, leads us to the sponsor me tape graveyard at Crailtap HQ, names some pro skaters who once sent in their tapes, and shows us Sean Malto's first submission. Sean then breaks down what it took to get on Girl and talks about filming for Pretty Sweet. Enjoy.

I've been skating for around 3 years now, and it is one of my favorite activities. It is a great stress-reliever and workout. I'm hoping you guys can send me one because I am a huge fan of Girl, and I plan to see Pretty Sweet as soon as possible. Thanks Vice!

I can see myself skating in the background during the London ON portion of Yes we Canada. Was pretty cool to meet my fav skate team at my local skate spot.

mike and sean are two of the nicest dudes i ever met. They came to my hometown over the summer and skated and while we were watching raven Tershy rip it i sat down and got a picture and i stayed and sat for a while and we talked about my town. Super fucking nice guys
at 14 i was doing a couple more things than you right now but honestly I feel that if you really love skating just keep doing it, keep letting go, and always challenge your fears. At your age i was gapping 8-9stairs. The trick is focus, but most importantly focusing on ignoring the fear. Specially when you are trying out something new, you try to land the trick but mentally you kind of know you won´t. You have to trust yourself and do it right instead of giving up mid air.

I have started skating since I have been 10. I took a break from skating due to school work. I am turning 18 now and just watching this video REALLY makes me miss skating. All my friends have slowly got tired of skateboarding too and we've became best friends through skating. I would really like to get back into skating, but I wouldn't have my friends there with me. Once I'm finished with all this college apps, I'm definitely picking up where I left off.

I went through the exact same thing. Just find time to skate. I know I always had excuses and other reasons not to skate in addition to school work. But honestly once I just called bullshit on every excuse I had I was able to just go skate. Just skating flatground in front of my house 3-4 days a week made my senior year so much better. And now im at college and there are spots everywhere and I'm slowly finding friends who aren't stoned all the time and actually want to skate.
getting deported was one of the worst things that has ever happened to me, i lost all my friends, my girlfriend, and to add on, i didnt have a board when i got deported since i broke it before summer ended in canada, my passion still runs for skateboarding so I hope you guys would consider me as an option, much respect and love to the vice crew!
Id like to win it for my son Jake ... hes been away in Singapore studying 3 A Levels (and taking) in 9 months and been working his guts out with very little fun. Hes going to miss Christmas at home and as hes been working and hasnt done much boarding for a while this would make his day when he gets home in January. Thanks for reading this, love Jakes mom x
Because I'm 38 and I'm starting to skate again, because like many of you already know or will find out, skateboarding is for life. I had to quit but always loved it, and now my nephew is going on 6 and starting to skate as well, something to do together how awesome is that ?

First of all, props to VICE and GIRL!!!!! Throwing it down all day, and all night long!!! F N RIGHTS!!!!! Would love to get the decks, that way I can retire my older Girl deck and make a new board for my nephew, damn he'd be so stoked! He's been tryin to get a non water logged deck for a lil while, I only have 1 current girl deck that I cant afford to pass on to him just yet, but i'll keep savin. Can only dream of winning something, but hard work will be my true reality.

I'm Spencer, I've been skating for 3 years and have been watching Vice videos for a couple months now. I've spent well over $5,000 on decks alone and I think it would be nice to get a free on for once. I would really appreciate it. I should win because I love skateboarding and I'm never gonna stop... no matter how old... "Skate for life!" and sure I will do... I got my first board when I was 4-5 years old but didn't took it serious enough to learn how to skate.. but i started to skate again almost a year ago now... AND I FREAKING LOVED IT! Having those two decks will help me on my skating journey, a swedish skateboarder that not got many boards left... only those that have some huge marks.. so I would be glad if i won:)

Unlike most of the people that want a free board from you, I have grown up watching Carroll, Howard and some of the older Girl members as they were making a name for themselves through skating. I am beyond excited for their video to come out and to see that they can still hang with all of these younger skaters. The new video is going to be amazing...a free board on top of that is just a bonus.
There would be no reason to lie about such a thing like that, and if i would win you would see my address, which is in argentina. I fucking hate it here, the documentaries in your channel keep me entertained enough to not smash my head against the wall every day. Cheers vice!
