i think many people would agree that Brandon is probably in the top 5 right now of live singers in rock bands... Based on pitch, tone, vocal agility, power, technique, range... he's got it all
So you're telling me they got to see incubus for FREE and this was their reaction?! Are you f'ing kidding me?!?! -_- bless them for keeping it going. You can tell Brandon noticed the sound and it was frustrating. Audiences don't realize sometimes that bands feed off their energy.
Ikr??? Got to see them at a concert once, even at the end when things were suppose to wind down the crowd were still pumped with energy from incubus, me included though that's thanks to them playing my all time favorite of theirs, nice to know you, near the end.
I’m sure they expected it going in. If you play live anywhere other than a music venue, you should expect some people to not really care. Most of the people at a talk show session are either there because they like the host or they want to be on TV. The bands aren’t really the main attraction.
He's alright, but that's about it. When you have people like Myles Kennedy and Chris Cornell singing like the absolute beasts that they are, Brandon is just alright. He kinda lacks power on these live performances. His high notes sound really good though. Note that I'm not talking about the quality of the music. Purely about the singing skills.
Brandon is definitely up there when talking live vocalist. And I love chris cornell with all my heart. But sometimes his live singing wasnt all that good. remember I said sometimes.
@@SupremeDP Well his ability is that he can sing almost the same as on album versions or even sometimes better live. And i have to agree that Cornell had that ability too.
@@theguyyousaw7950 Oh sure, he sings well, and probably better than 98% of people. I'm just saying that I wouldn't call him one of the top rock vocalists of all time.
i guess some one from letterman does not know how to mix audio. you can hear only vocals, drums are thin and no bass what so ever. So sound engineers "have experience" when they get the job but do they improve it? , i heard this excuse a few times now and i am only a music student. what is up with some sound guys uh? they ruined a perfect live performance
Sadly, Jason uses pitch correct. He sounds great, but it's not him doing it, it's a computor. Brandon however is just pure talent, no autotune needed, period.
@@theorionprogram3323 Actually a lot of the live videos I've watched of Jason over the years (and there have been a ton of them!), he's not that on-tune to the degree that auto-tune would do. In fact I've heard him get pretty off a lot of times too! I think Jason has struggled a bit more in the recent years of live videos I've watched, to hit some of those higher notes mostly...which is understandable!
@@dr05guitar Your probably right, my bad. Thank you for the information, I kind of had Jason knocked down from my favorites list because I thought he used auto-tune. Thank you
I really fancy Incubus and can't wait for them to come back to England or Spain again, but the years of getting high is starting to show on Brandon. He looks a lot older than he actually is. = / Remember kids, just say NO to drugs, but YES to Patron Silver. ; ]
I'm really love this band, but the sound in this video is not so good. The guitar sounds like a tin pot, without punch. I can't hear the bassman and the keyboards.
Mike looks like he's straight outta his day job and playing gigs at night, period.

Their drummer kicks ass.
His name is Jose
Jose pasillas is my fav drummer.
One of the best live bands.
Brandon boyd is a legend.
You spelled Mike Einziger wrong. Lmao BB can't even sing on key for his live shows
Brandon is absolutely note perfect. The guy is a legend
I know this is old, but what? He's flat through the whole song haha
One of their best songs live. An absolute banger!

+RocketRoketto Though the same

He almost went crazy when he heard the playback
Audience here I guess are all supporters of JB & Jo Bros. 😊
That bass line is no joke
Incubus will always be my favorite band. Brandon flawless and the fact that I heard Mike's making an error in guitar at beginning was awesome!!!!!
Brandon Boyd one of the Greatest Rock vocals..
He's alright, but that's about it.

that's awesome you said that, those are two of my other favorite singers as well...Jason Wade of Lifehouse is a great live singer as well.
Sadly, Jason uses pitch correct. He sounds great, but it's not him doing it, it's a computor. Brandon however is just pure talent, no autotune needed, period.
