This is absolutely one of the most Well written songs in my opinion ever because it speaks the truth about the human condition. Everyone has something that digs at them. No matter how confident that they seem or how together they are. We're all kind of the same even though we're different. But we all have something that digs at us.!
These guys are all about a year of me. How the hell did I not discover them until this summer? They've got that thing that Tom Petty thing where you just keep hearing song you like after song you like on the radio until one day you'll go "wait, I need to grab an album of theirs." Boom....Then it's like Tom Petty, or Chevelle, or Tool and you like every song on an album and think how the hell did I not catch on to this sooner?
I've only listened to a handful of Incubus songs. I've liked all of what I've heard, but I've just not got around to diving into their albums just yet. This song is great and I also feel like he has one of the best voices I've ever heard. 😂 His vocals are just as good, if not better, live than they are on the studio versions of their tracks I've heard.
Dig in particular was a haunting reminder of something and then I pinned it down. Brandon Boyd is sort of the male Alanis Morissette. Both have amazing vocal range and both use their voices like an instrument. Lyrically, both dig into existentialism, angst and over-thinking analysis of their environments. There are similarities when they belt out a ballad in the highs. Listen to Morissette's Baba, You Oughta Know and Uninvited. I also hear a bit of Adele's Hello. All three can really sing their hearts out hitting those high notes.
I feel like the guitar is too loud here like it needs to equalise with the vocals to allow space for it to breath or at least allow space for it to mesh better with it all it just sounds too loud here before everything else here Cheers all the best
I remember when thi album came out. There were bare incubus fans shitting on this album. I could never understand why. I guess their music tastes were limited
Thank you all for the kind words and support! Much love ;)

His vocals are always so great live ❤ and those high notes 🥰
Yes very true , perfect pitch.

This one is their most underrated. It didn’t get a whole lot of air play but it’s their best imo.
agreed, i love their other songs but this is it for me.
This didn't get a lot of airplay? I don't know where y'all are from but in CA it was shoved down your throat
This is it for me too. I'd write this song for my one and only
@EnDependance123 I'm from PA and this song wasn't played on the radio once lol
The bassline to Dig is juts sublime.
My favorite Incubus song EVER !!!

A few years ago, I posted this song on my Facebook and it popped up in my memories. I love this song.
My absolute favorite song by this wonderful band. I cry so bad off of it. They are awsome live
Just saw them in san francisco on the 12th. Amazing
this whole album has bangers front to back
This song retains all the emmence significance that it did many years ago when my little brothrt unwrapped light grenades and threw the cd in
insanely nostalgic song
I love this song, Incubus is top, and Brandon sings a lot 😍

The whole Anna Molly come on!
Hopefully the mix was better live than the mix sent to the studio.... all I hear is guitar... great song though!
You gotta admit the guitar is pretty cool at least..
their best song imho - Savage
📢📢📢🔔🔔NO PLAYBACK, Real voices, Real instruments, Master Crack Band ⚠️⚠️⚠️NO FUCKING REGUETON
I just saw Chester Bennington in Brandon ....how have I never noticed this till now ?
Me too...
The opening and the side view - I saw it.

A couples of mistakes in playing can be heard, but that’s how live music is. I’d never be able to hit half of those notes
The vocals sound weirdly dry, no reverb or what's going on?
I remember when thi album came out. There were bare incubus fans shitting on this album. I could never understand why. I guess their music tastes were limited
Jesus fucking christ Brandon save some vocals for the rest of the human race
