Hi Bert, Thanks for a very informative video. I bought an FTDX101MP just before Christmas and have been busy setting it up for different modes. I also have an MD100 mic and will try your settings to see how I sound. However my usual method of operating is using a Heil HC7 headset as this keeps the XYL happy as she doesn’t want to listen to QSO’s. 73’s from Wales GW0RYT

Hi Bert what are your proc levels and your mic gain levels? also on the md100 what switches do you have set up on the bottom of the microphone ? regards Mick

2 days in the book and your settings got me a lot more solid on set up but I got a deep voice and I need more highs in my voice transmission I’m using a Heil Gm4 mic

Hallo ...Danke fuer deinen Kommenrtar und Deine frage ja ich habe es noch und benutze es im moment nicht an meinem FTdx 101mp das MD100 spielt sehr gut an diesem trx...die Parameter fuer das Microfoon sind ja von Stimmlage und Frqeunz in der Stimme abhaengig ich habe sie als eine klassiche Badewannen kurve eingestellt bei der Dynamischen kapsel bei der Kondensator kapsel ist das wieder etwas anders da muss man ein bischen spielen mit den Werten das Micro klingt nicht schlecht, fuer mich ist es aber ein bischen zu kompliziert um es richtig an zu passen wegen der zwei kapseln darum habe ich es nur an dem FT991 angeschlossen und arbeite da auf FM und dort klingt es gut....so danke noch mal Vy73 glg de Bert PA5HR

Hello Jim and thank you for reacting i use the Ftdx 101 MP without the 1.2 KHZ Filter and i think it is not nessary to have this filter the TRX works with the dsp and all on board Filters very good so i work simply with the filters they comes with it ....thank you again and wish you good luck with the fantastic radio...Vy 73 de Bert PA5HR

I was worried about how they did it because the filters they say have to be installed by Yaesu, they are solder in and not the push in kind.
