I practiced backing a B train from the Fuel pumps into the back door of a SCS garage, ran out of air pressure a few times but finally made in to the door. I could not figure how to enable hard parking for B trains so I have not pulled them much since.
@@dand3975 sounds like you made it farther than I did, nice! I just have random turned on, where they decide for me where to park it. But it would also be nice if the random assignments were in logical drop-off areas. I find that some of the spots just don’t make much sense.
@@freebeardgaming I had hard parking on when I practiced with the B train, I will have fo try with random and see if I get Skilled parking offers. I haven't purchased Kansas yet ( scared of what mods it will break), so it will be nice seeing your Kansas videos.
I would like to see a video on a w900 and if it has an "A" model option. I dont have the highway killer yet. I have the 362 & the XLS classic but have not updated them yet. When you did the riding with Chuck P&D video a while back I thought that was cool. The info I found on The Mack 5 speed + lo/hi/reverse, in lo range only use first gear than shift to hi range so it is driven as a 6 speed. So wich shift knob do you like best? The old chrome "hockey puck" or the new style ergonomic one?
Good news, an in-depth look into the 7.0 changes to the w900 are live now in my latest video. And yes, you do have an option for the w900 lights on the exterior. I’ll probably go ahead and do another P&D video in Kansas then, since there is some demand for it. As for the 6 speed, yes what you say is recommend from the manufacturer- only low range in 1st. With TRXL 107, it also doesn’t make sense to try other gears in low range because the gear ratios are so close together, but the low gears are geared completely different in the TRXL 1071, making it possible (although I don’t know if it ruins the transmission or not) to shift between low and direct gears. I use both shift knobs, just depends on the truck I’m driving. For older style trucks that featured these knobs, I use the puck. I like to keep it realistic, so when the truck usually features an Eaton Fullee knob, I switch. For my setup, it’s probably going to be Eaton Fuller on left and puck on right for twin sticking though. Makes the most sense for me right now. Thanks for the comments and questions!
Have you ever had an issue where the game will register the shifter and everything in the controls and such. However when you go to actually shift while driving it does nothing and not even go into gear?
Run a calibration within the game to set up your gears again. If you’re using a shifter make sure you’re set to H-pattern, and ensure the proper setting when re-calibrating. It sounds like your button assignments aren’t correct. If they are, putting it into gear will indicate the proper gear, and the truck should move again.
@@freebeardgamingI appreciate it, I've tried all that prior to my original comment to no avail. It just stops working then sometimes it will work again then stop working again. It recognizes the two range/splitter buttons but doesn't recognize anything when I try and put it in gear. I thought it may have been an R model only mod issue but it appears to be across any truck modded or vanilla.
@@crazymixture57 and you’ve tried configuring the gears manually? I mean pressing the button to assign, moving the stick to that position until it registers? Haven’t had that situation before. Could also be a hardware issue, maybe the shifter is dying. Not sure honestly, wish I could offer more.
@@freebeardgaming it's all good brother I appreciate the help. Yeah I've tried moving the shifter into position and doing it harder too and it still won't register. I don't know what freaky issue is happening....after a while it might work again. It always seems to happen right when the game goes into a beta....even if I don't participate in the beta. Something weird is going on. I'm probably just going to buy a new setup and get a new shifter.
I cant seem to figure out how to get my controls.sii file setup correctly for the mack trani and gearbox layout. I have furys maxitourque 1070 6 front 5 reverse gearbox layout setup it works in game i have my controls.sii file setup for a 6x4 weather its right or not it works for a 6x4 spicer with the diy spicer mod but when using my controls.sii file setup with the maxitorque 1070 gearbox layout and trani i dont have the aux trani in the right pattern but have all 3 gears r lo and hi...but my main trani has 1-3 and 5-6 its missing 4 and cannot seem to figure it out any help if possible would be great
Fury6’s mods don’t manipulate the controls.sii file. You can leave that file untouched for all single stick shifting, including his 1070. So you can use your altered controls.sii file for twin sticking, but if you want to go back and use anything from Fury6 (or any single stick setup), just throw in your original controls.sii file that the game came with at installation.

Correct, his files are for single stick setups. But if you have the original controls.sii file (the one that came with the camera upon installation), you can use his stuff. I have watched ur video i have a working 6x4 twin controls file i also have a working 4x4 iv seen ur video for the 4x4 spicer i didnt see any video on how to create a 6x4...seen u have a 5x3 twin stick setup for the mack r and am trying to get it setup but noone has a video on how to do that i also have other trucks in the diy spicer mod the exact way its supposed to be i have other folders with different truck names iv even gone as far as to change the name inside the trani.sii file to make it from the original name peterbilt.579 to mack.rhpl but it still doesnt show up for me i even went as far as to find the workshop file for the mack r and put the trani file in where it goes in the mack r def...still no luck been trying for 2 days cannot figure out what im doing wrong....and still cant find anything on how to create a 5x3 twin stick setup in controls.sii...
I’ll have to put out another video pretty soon. My 5x3, 5x4, 6x4 are using a different logic now. Basically I’m using the gearsel1 (on and off) and gearsel2 (on and off) from the controls.sii file. To set up the auxiliary transmission. That normally where you would control the range selector and splitter, but because twins don’t have those, might as well use it for the auxiliary. Then everything down below (mix gear 1-16) can’t be used just for the main transmission. It’s a lot easier, and you can’t anything you want (even a 6x4) without touching the range or splitter knobs - like it’s supposed to be.

Also make sure you have the correct transmission (10/13/18) from the drop down in the controls settings within the game.
