    It would perhaps be more honest to start each instalment with FEURICH CHINA instead of FEURICH VIENNA.

      FEURICH have a big production in Vienna, where the company is based. You could start by taking a virtual tour here: www.feurich.com/en/products/vienna-pianos/
      If you wish to buy a new piano I recommend this innovative piano company (I've been happily associated with FEURICH for 10 years) FEURICH have a broad range of visually stunning and incredible sounding instruments, many at more affordable prices, thanks to certain aspects of modern production and assembly, that meet the demands of a growing global market for acoustic pianos.
      Bechstein is one of the most elite piano brands. It's a German manufacturer with a 160-year tradition, now making more reasonably priced instruments in Hingbo, China, alongside FEURICH. Better prices for pianos in the music community ultimately enables many more pianists to own and play quality new acoustic instruments. Here's a link for further reading: www.dw.com/en/elite-german-piano-maker-expands-to-china/a-1622591
      To give you a comparison: The iPhone, iPad, or any Apple product for that matter, is mainly assembled in China. As a company they are not alone. The New York Times published a report which covered interviews with both former and current executives at Apple. The reason behind the relocation to China was, put simply, there’s not enough manpower to support the manufacturing of Apple’s products in USA. Even taking that into consideration, it wouldn't be accurate to rename the company "APPLE CHINA" as it is based in California, USA, just as FEURICH is based in Vienna.
      The design of my 218 piano is by Stephen Paulello, widely regarded as one of the world's best piano makers. www.stephenpaulello.com/en/pianos. FEURICH puts the design and know-how, down to the smallest detail, of the Viennese piano tradition -- with many innovations, and note, many of their new pianos are manufactured exclusively in Vienna, into ALL of their pianos -- as you can see from their website: www.feurich.com/en/production/
      The beauty of the new 218 piano (just behind me as I type) takes my breath away. It's perfect in every way and I couldn't hope for a better instrument. Furthermore, it's been my personal experience that FEURICH is much more than a business. The FEURICH team are friendly and offer outstanding care and support to the pianists that own their instruments. It's important to them every single customer right across the world feels happy making and sharing piano music, whether at home or on the concert stage -- as you can see on their Facebook page: facebook.com/feurichvienna
      Many thanks for your comment -- Paul.

      Paul Barton Dear Mr. Barton, your elaborate answer sounds a bit like an excuse. There was no reason to do so. I am well aware that numerous western firms relocated their production to China, mainly for the cheap labor there. Feurich is just one of them. The Chinese indeed deliver beautiful products. Still, I deeply regret that in this way knowledge and skills disappear from the Old Continent. What's gone is gone, never to come back. And where will producers go once the living standards of the Chinese have reached a level where it no longer pays to produce in China? I wish you a lot of fun with your new instrument, the sounds of which will also delight my ears.

    Gorgeous, Paul. You are one of the reasons I own a Feurich too! If I hadnt found your channel a few years ago, I may have gone for a more well-known brand like Bechstein, and honestly, under 10-15k it is very rare to find a good Bechstein (goes for most A/S brands). I saw my beautiful Feurich on the shop's website, and travelled for nearly 5 hours by public transport to get there (obviously my dad did not want to travel so far just to see a piano). After seeing it and playing it I knew that was the piano. I went to several shops, but no piano compared to this one. I did have several technicians and experts judge the piano, but I honestly already knew it was good.
    I used part of my college money (saved by my grandparents) to afford the piano, and I am so glad I have it.
    I even introduced my grandmother to your videos as she was a big elephant fanatic! She loved them, and since I loved both of my grandparents so dearly (even though due to my incompetence, I ended it with my grandfather on bad terms which haunts me in my dreams to this day) and to remember them, I have a cusotm-made little elephant logo on the inside of the piano.
    From you introducing me to Feurich, to my grandmother being so proud of me being a pianist, it is all linked. I cannot thank you enough for all that. While, like I said, even after 6 months I am still haunted in my dreams, and mourn their passing almost weekly, at least now I have this beautiful piano as a connection to them, regardless if there is such a thing as heaven or not!

      @jordidewaard2937 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@carolynsimpson412 Thanks for the comment! Having a little logo like that not only makes it so I have an even bigger emotional connection to the piano, but it also makes it unique. I am very willing to bet that I am the only person in the world with a 170cm Feurich with a little elephant logo on the inside :D

    • @jordidewaard2937
      @jordidewaard2937 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@MetaView7 Very true. While none of my family members (grandparents included) are particularly musical, they were very open to the idea of me upgrading to a Grand Piano. I also knew my grandmother appreciated classical music, but it was only at her funeral where I (mind you, there were over 200 people at her funeral, she had MANY friends and socials, and luckily it was less than a month before corona. My grandfather's funeral did not have the same luck) I met so many people who told me just how proud she was of me being a Pianist. I actually felt famous at the funeral haha. I was "the kid that she talked so proudly about that's a pianist".
      While I will sadly never get them back, I do firmly believe that they are looking over my life, and what I decide to do with it. Even if this turns out to not be true, I still want them to be proud of me and what I do, just for the small percentage possibility of them actually seeing me :)

    I feel so humble looking at you as such an accomplished artist - extremely skillful painter and a marvelous piano player. Above all that, you are involved in such a noble project, taking care of those poor overworked and injured elephants. I’ve just started playing the violin and I’m not so young - a long childhood dream of mine, ignored by my parents back then - but I’m also a huge admirer of outstanding piano players and you are, obviously, on the top of my list. Your channel and your piano pieces are a blessing to this troubled world and I have no words to properly express my gratitude for your extraordinary generosity, making all that accessible to everyone, for free, in this world so stained by money and materialism. I wish you and your beautiful family a very long life, full of wonderful surprises. Be blessed !

    Silver plate piano! Cool!
    When Steinway & sons comes up with silver plate version years ago, I was thinking about it too. But maybe because of trandition? Even though I like silver color (especially when I was young) I still cannot totally embrace it yet.
    Hope you can enjoy your new Feurich for years to come.
    Maybe because of this video, I will seriously consider silver Feurich as my next piano.
