It seems from comments that you were under the weather. I’m glad you’re feeling better! Excellent work on the backgrounds. Not just a screensaver, but actively related to the audio and what’s happening. Top notch! I get the feeling that evil villain invading the listener’s mind to that depth at the end might have unintended consequences. Like, leaving herself exposed in turn, or maybe she realizes they’re just becoming a puppet extension of her, and she wants a partner not a drone. But I could be crazy.
The sfx and vfx were really well done. And the listener's mind must be going through some major whiplash. Going from fragments and pieces, to a protected bubble, and then to the end? Oof. Listener's up crap creek with no paddle, so I guess we'll have to use hers, whether its wanted or not. I'm definitely enjoying this.

Second things second, a song quote: “When does a man become a *Mon~ster~*” Third things third, my opinions on the story: If this betrayal didn’t break the hero, then they are a paragon of virtue and kindness with an iron will. In the much more likely event that this did break them; I pray for the world that they never wake up. As mentioned, telepathy is like a muscle, the more you use it, the stronger it gets: and while most people can’t fight back against mental domination, most people aren’t telepaths. I suspect this event is going to massively strengthen the listener in raw power at least. I also suspect that, if this is resolved via a breakout, the domination might result in them perfecting their shielding, as part of the steps to breaking out. As seen by how terrifying the speaker is, a strong telepath is a dangerous telepath; and that’s assuming that the listener is just a telepath. Even if they’re just telepathic, puppeteering is already scary, but if they have, say telekinesis, with enough control that allows for shields and platforms made of solidified air. Don’t even get me started on more complex expressions like pyro/cryokinesis, psychometry (reading the history of objects), or technopathy (telepathy, but with machines). Sorry that devolved into a mini ramble about cool telepath powers, I have long been fascinated by them. The main point is, it is very likely the listener is going to be mentally messed up; doubly so if the speaker accidentally (or intentionally) leaked some of themself into the listener while sewing their mind back together. I know there are people like that. People who believe that saving someone the pain is actually good for them. I've been around such people, been on the receiving end of such actions. But after all this time, I've learned... There is value to pain. To overcoming it. You learn from it and you grow. Though it helps having someone by your side who would accept you and nourish you as you do... And I really thought our psychic villain knew that all firsthand. I don't know what to think now. Bad idea to put strings on a tapestry that’s already frayed. Most likely you’ll only cause it to unravel more. Born of her fear of being touched, the heartbreak of betrayal, and catalyzed by the electroconvulsions still coursing through her fractured psyche, the former heroine known as Espia spontaneously developed a new form of psychic defence: a neural energy that instinctively lashes out at anyone that touches her. As the villain tried to subsume Espia’s consciousness, it thrashed like a caged animal. The villainess, caught off guard by the sudden uncharacteristic ferocity, was stunned unconscious. By the time she came to her senses, the young heroine was gone. After the incident, Espia was not seen again at the hero agency, nor at the villain’s society. Weeks passed, and rumours began to emerge of a mysterious new vigilante known only as “Fray”.
I feel like some heroes are about to get their a**es kicked 😂👀.. giving me similar vibes to when Wanda became the Scarlet Witch, except this time.. it's different, & this time it's not our fault 😈. Thank you, Queen NightShade ❤, your work is *amazing!*
We(listener telepath) gotta break free of this.. right? Please..? Lol but since she tried it, it’s put a huge strain on the relationship, possibly bad enough to never overcome, right? Like now we have no choice but to fight her. Of course we’re not just going to willingly allow ourselves to become a puppet, and this series isn’t done yet. So of course I expect there to either be a fight broke out from this, or we break away or something. Unless this is a not so good ending story.. then it could very easily be that we(as listener telepath) are screwed and done for until something somehow breaks us free? But then at that point, we’re full on enemies. Which sucks. The one person we could allow closeness to, can’t be trusted.. and now not only can we not trust her in any way, but we know we can’t truly trust anyone else either due to our powers. And if she succeeds in making us a “puppet”, that would be something that could never be moved past. Never forgiven. Especially as another telepath, knowing how much torture that would be to get to that point. She knows that, and was willing to do it anyways? Yeah, I’m dying to see what happens next. What’s even shittier, is that after this whole thing happened, had she not started pulling that stunt at the end, I honestly assume the listener telepath would’ve stayed with her. I would’ve. But now, with her pulling that stunt, idk. I would leave. But I’m not writing the story. I would leave everyone though. Not just her. But up until she pulled that stunt, I would’ve happily stayed with her. I would’ve stayed with her from episode 2, instead of lying and saying we didn’t hear anything and then getting chased off. But that’s because I read between lines and focus on foreshadowing as much as possible in every day life, so it’s habitual when listening to audios or reading books. But that stunt actually caught me by surprise, give the author my props for that. Didn’t see that one coming, at least, not at that moment. It completely shakes the entire story though. Going from what assumedly was going to be a happy ending, to what feels like now will be a sad or just hopeless ending. Either alone, someone’s puppet, or trying to force ourselves to forgive/trust whichever side. Unless there’s some very creative and imaginative writing done, that’s all we’re on the road for in my eyes. UNLESS she’s unable to succeed in her little stunt. Thats the only way we’d get an ending i personally would be like, happy about. But that’s definitely not the only ending that would be considered a good ending. Just because it’s a sad or negative ending, doesn’t mean that it isn’t a good one. But I hope for the best with this one.

Okay, when we're saying that the heroes are the real villains because they got mad at her for killing, but we're making excuses for a supervillain that attacked a _high school,_ we have officially reached the point of "too edgelord-y." I get pushing a narrative, but come on, there's taking it too far. ...This was written before I heard the end of the audio, and my thoughts are only confirmed. Dear God, "puppet?" Really?
