I wish I'd come up with it! But that one is all PlainJaneWriting's genius. XD I'm very good at finding brilliant writers and using all their work, though XP
Heck, that's amazing to hear from one of my favorite writers. I could turn that right back around - you also knock it out of the park every time! Thank you so much!
[Feral Raccoon Of A Woman] might just be the greatest tag I've ever seen, I love it. I'm getting serious Spider-man and Black Cat vibes, and since those are the best possible vibes, I am well pleased. I, too, would feel beholden to take care of the raccoon under my porch. I'm not sure if I could say why, but the art for this one hits different as well. Maybe it's something about how she actually looks like a character who'd flirt in self-defense, maybe it's just the Tired shirt, but it's really nice.
Speaker: "Life's. Not. Fair." Me: "I heard that one. I also heard the one about it being a b*tch... Doesn't mean I have to be one." Nice one, Nightshade.
I love how you manage to have a little bit of comic book silliness in your superhero audios but they’re still easy to get genuinely invested in. Bravo queen! 👏👏
hehehe they BOTH have a soft spot for each other hehehehehe Lovely performance, Night! And PlainJaneWriting knocked it out of the park with that script it's cheesy yet compelling in all the right ways
I was quite concerned we were gonna lose her! Blood loss, internal bleeding, concussion, possibly even alcohol poisoning. Just about every injury you wouldn't sleep on. Brava!
The listener may have humbled her in a sense, but that's only after she humbled them with her description of their arrogance. Even Catwoman would remind Batman from time to time that he's not "all that". Cool audio my Queen! LOVED IT!!!😊💚👍
“Actually I’m a machinist and learning engineer, my brother is the EMT, and my sister the pharmacist. I just pay attention when they talk medicine and such, otherwise I’d never hear the end of how and why I should be careful.”
Yeah. I imagine these two got off on the wrong foot due to seriously misunderstanding each other, but they do both want the same thing. They just have very different problems in front of them, so it's hard to see the other's perspective unless they truly make an effort. Which the hero seems to be doing. I like to think this is the start of a big change. Well, that's the way I like to think of it, ymmv, of course. Thank you for the comment! :)
You always seem to pick the best scripts! Such a good one once again! Love the feeling that she's always on her guard in some regard until the painkillers kick in. Hope your new year is going well!!
It's an automatic audio compression that youtube does. Essentially, it makes quiet sounds louder and loud sounds slightly quieter. It's supposed to make it so that when you switch between videos and creators, you don't have to keep adjusting the volume because one person has a quiet voice and the next talks really loudly. It helps you avoid accidental jump scares and keeps you from missing things that were recorded too quietly. It also wrecks all the careful work I do in balancing my sounds to give a certain effect. If I added a distant radio playing softly in the background, after stable volume, that radio is blasting as loud as the voice. That's the reason I recommend turning it off for my audios.
Nightshade was always going a bit above and beyond. Her escapades usually made page four or three in the newspapers, so it wasn’t like she had top tier villains after her. She did, however, end up tangling with way too many hoods whose superpower involved hosing the countryside with uzis and Mac-10s. She looked a bit shocky when she came out of the bathroom, but it wasn’t until a trickle of blood began to run from her side that I realized she was actually injured. Tough woman, I have to admit. A few painkillers and some staples took care of the initial hurt, but she was going to need watching. Don’t we all know the first thing she’s going to say is to accuse me of peeking under her shirt. She’ll eventually say thank you… but she’s going to break my cohones first,
Lolol I think the last time I used a knife-dropping sfx, someone was sure it was a spoon! Technically, I layered two sound files to try to make it sound like a switchblade falling. One was a metal tool, and the other was a pen. As for the reference, I genuinely don't know - we'd have to ask PlainJaneWriting!
@@nightshadequeenasmr Hmmmm, maybe it's the "layering" thing. Two different types of the vibration and it creates effect of metalic object with "many ends". Or maybe it's just my mind playing tricks... also possible.
Honestly, given that you're not the first to say something like this, I think it's most likely that it's because we're very familiar with the sound of falling cutlery, but we don't regularly encounter other small metal objects falling. Our brains have been trained to recognize that sound with the need to pick up a fork.
@@nightshadequeenasmr Oh, given my clumsiness, I'd argue that my brain is not familiar with sounds of many different falling objects, metalic or not. Knives, spoons, forks, screwdrivers, chisels, files, pliers, flux capacitors... Nothing is safe 😉 Might be true for other folks tho and we just happen to have similar reaction.
Feral raccoon of a woman is certainly an interesting description.

Writer here - you knock it out of the park every time! Love the art and love the merch too. :)

Lucky you got to her in time!

They may not always get along, but i think he sees a lot of potential there and respects that.

Any audio tech nerds know what turning audio stabilization off actually does? Genuinely curious.

Well, I've got an EMT kit because I'm actually an EMT irl lol.
She's uncovered your secret identity!!
3:50 was that a fork?
7:28 is that a reference to a certain..... actor?
