Edward Snowden i dont think he can answer your question because he is a Westerner and all he knows about tibet comes from western propaganda started after thier allies the Republic of China lost the civil war and where religated to the Island province of Taiwan. Everyone including the USA respected the territorial integrity of china which included what is today tibet province, but once the Communist took over the mainland in a major shock to the west all of a sudden tibet which had been part of china for up to 200 years prior was an "independent" country invaded by the reds, if you ignore the fact the reds "invaded" all of China. but independent Hawaii and vast parts of the current USA that where not part of the USA when tibet was incorporated in China during the Qing dynasty are not talked about in thier Media.
