Malaysia celebrates 62nd Merdeka Day in Putrajaya

Thousands of people gathered at the Putrajaya Square on Saturday morning to celebrate the 62nd Merdeka Day themed “Sayangi Malaysiaku: Malaysia Bersih” (Love Our Malaysia: A Clean Malaysia).
The Star TV spoke to fellow spectators who stole the spotlight with their unique Malaysia-themed costumes.

This is a Malaysian national day, we have far more races in Malaysia than Singapore or any other country in SEA for that matter. More than 100 races. Therefore it is not the same in each country. They each have their own. Besides, Malaysian national day is celebrated in all the 13 state capitals and the 3 Federal Territories.
