The reason the original video took off and had so many view is because you have BY FAR, hands down, the absolute best reactions. I’ve watched a bunch and you are so real and so funny and willing to just let it all be out there. It’s amazing. Sorry, I had to find a place to jump in and say so (I never bother commenting on TH-cam videos) - in case you could use any encouragement please keep going, I’m here for it. Especially Tool, can’t help it but I enjoy all of your stuff. Keep being you.
I was so overwhelmed with this song the first time. I didn't know what was happening to me. But now I know, Tool was happening. Thanks for watching! :)
Lateralus has always been my favorite Tool song but ever since the release of Fear Inoculum I’m torn between Lateralus and Descending being my favorite. I hope you react to Descending soon!!
I knew they were special with "Ænima." I knew they were going to make a difference. But it was the "Lateralus" album (especially the song!) that got me into them. Plus, they'd taken a note or two from King Crimson's book - and what a book they themselves are writing. I wholeheartedly know exactly what you were going through. Tool is one of those bands that went from good to great to True. Tool makes True music - labels like "good," "bad," and "great" don't even mean anything anymore. And very few people have EVER done that. Still waiting for you to get to "Third Eye." :-) Happy journeys, fellow Music fan.
This and Forty Six & 2 are the songs that got me to love Tool. The complexity of the instrumentals, the meaning, everything. This song was written using the Fibonacci Sequence, by the way. Pretty cool.
The overall brilliance of Maynard and the rest of Tool in general is hard to put into words. Constructing music mathematically, and then the quite intentional multiple interpretations for the lyrical content and delivery is quite astounding. And they have only gotten better at it. True musical gods.
I love how "The Pot" isn't even in your top 5 any longer thanks to what you've heard on the channel. It's been a cool journey and I really hope this video can actually stick around.
Isn't that crazy?! I don't think I've listened to that song since I started the channel. That also sounds crazy but I believe it's true. Maybe I'm afraid it will be #1 again so I'm avoiding it. :D
@@MusicCatsandCoffee Haha! That makes sense! It's a little hyperbolic, but I think that, "Your favorite Tool song is the one you're currently listening to" saying has some truth to it.
Yea...similar experience first time for me too! Lateralus will always be my number one! I love every Tool song, but this is THE one that transformed and transported me to another plane of existence, and STILL does every single time!
You've become one of my favorite reactors to ANYTHING, LAUREN. I hope to see you in a year make a video on you watching your own reaction, watching your own reaction, watching your own reaction of Lateralus. I wanna see heads explode. I'm totally serious. Keep on keeping on.
This was my favorite Lateralus reaction out of all the Lateralus reactions I've watched which is probably all of them. It was equally a great re reaction!
I love these re-reactions! Watching you cringe to yourself is so funny. You really aren't cringey, though. You just make the reaction fun. I love it when you try to protect us with the, calm downs and it'll be OKs. Lol Also, this song is so, so good! I, too, completely over think and over analyze everthing. And worry and fret and don't sleep and have crazy anxiety and procrastinate and..... I listen to a lot of Tool, I just need to practice what they're teaching more. Thanks for another great video, Lauren! I always look forward to the next one. Have great weekend! : )
Hello Lauren. I must say that I am enjoying your TooL journey very much. And too, as a TooL fan, I will say...you should not feel concerned about stopping to express yourself...that is what most of us fans wish to see and hear. If people don't want commentary...go listen to the song/album at your leisure. I have been listening to this band for decades. My enjoyment come from seeing people grok the greatness of my favorite band and to hear them express their feelings of such. You are doing a fine job here and I will look forward to your next musical interlude. Spiral out!
The perfection of this song is extraordinary. Saw them live Brixton academy in London in 2002. The album blew me away but seeing them live in pitch black darkness for 2 hours was an experience I will never forget and this song live is a life changing experience.
I am often moved to literal tears listening to Tool music. This song, H., Reflection, and of course Wings for Marie all of them I have full on needed a tissue. Tool fan for 25+ years. There is so much depth that I STILL find new meaning and profundity.
If this was blocked again (fingers crossed it isn't), you could always do a re-re-reaction, much like Brad (Taste in Music) did in that insanely fun video...
Hi, new to you but I love your reaction! It makes me laugh because I had my own Tool inception moment today. Was listening to this album and Schism was on. My text notification is Lateralus so when I got a message it was Tool². I'm off to check out some more of your videos. Spiral Out ❤️
I love this video. I can't believe you can sit and watch yourself on video. I could never watch myself without cringing! 😁 You did great. Thank you for joining the TooL Army! Spiral Out 🌀
Glad you found a way to get this back up. Strange that it randomly got blocked. I still think with how much Tool, Slipknot, and Opeth you have done that you would like Jinjer. Eugene is my favorite bassist not named Justin Chancellor and even then he's a very close second. Wallflower would be a good track to start with to ease in since I remember you saying you are familiar with Pisces. Pit Of Consciousness is one of my favorites if you'd rather have more of a jump straight in song.
Maynard in the next studio. That is a good description of the muted vocals. I describe it as he’s singing from across the room, but there is a towel covering the mic. That’s one of the reasons I never know what he’s singing…or until I see the lyrics in your videos. 😄
Welcome to Tool. I have everything they have put out. Some of their music I listen to frequently. Other songs I break out occasionally like a great bottle of Scotch or a really great bottle of wine....for MY pleasure.
This song changed my life and made me buy my first cd, this one lol. I heard the cut version on the radio and then I heard the full version on the same station which was really cool and my mind was so blown and also confused that I had to look into it 😀
Your top 5 tool song list is solid. Especially since you have not heard every tool song yet.... I would put Decending in there, maybe kick eulogy out... But other than that pretty much my top 5
OMG LOL 😝👍👍👍👍 reacting to ur own reactions! What!?!?!? 🤯 That's so Meta. But, realistically something I would do. But for me, it would be editing photos. Correcting sentences, etc; lol. What it is I'm going on about right now I have no idea...anywho have a great night. ✌️👍
It must be really weird to watch yourself use your booger hook to show us and YOU that you are pausing yet again.. LOL.. HOW DOES IT FEEL MCC!!!! LOL.. J/K.. May Tool always be with you..

Drinks for you, Soliloquy66 for using "grok" in a post. We are brothers.
Probably the greatest reaction to a song ever, imo. It was a shame it got taken down, glad it's back.
Now we just need to get it back to 20k views! LOL

First time ever seeing someone react to them self , fantastic!!!!, Then u picked an epic song/composition, brilliant, thank you.
Whoohoo. We get two Lauren's for the price of one 😎
Wow i hope this gets a re-re-reaction so we can get all three on screen at once
Maybe next year... :)
TOOL is an experience, but has changed my view of life, read the lyrics and learn, Maynard is a philosopher, speaks the truth, by far my favorite !

The reason this didn't have more names next to it is simple, one does not simply jump straight into Lateralus

I've never seen someone react to themselves reacting to something lol.
Has anyone mentioned Fibonacci yet? 😅
2:33 reactception
Did you know this song is based on the Fibonacci Sequence? It's some math formula for trees and galaxies and stuff. So deep...
React to Jimmy maybe :)
