A good tip would be to film in full frame (8:7) for the vertical shots and then you can reframe .. you can't do an extreme movement, but it definitely would help

If I were to do what hte Pro camera was to do a gimbal is needed fot he hero am i not correct on that just saying

With the GoPro yes but with the 360 camera No because keyframes replaces the need for a gimbal - all the gimbal does is move the camera up down left right which we can do with keyframes as we move the selfie stick.

Insta 360 for the win! I am a believer since I’ve bought one I barely ever use any of my other options it’s just too convenient. I am struggling with night time shots just haven’t had enough practice and the preview image is not what you actually record that’s my only complaint so far

you need the gavgrip 2 to achieve the same shots. made for gopro, like a small crane, youtube it.

Insta 360 is more versatile than gopro. I have just done 3 weeks cruising the Mediterranean and my 360 X2 never let me down. You see a lot of insta360 cameras around the tourist attractions now.
