    It is interesting that Bobby Kennedy, just like his older brother Jack, didn't see himself as someone who would live to a ripe old age. When the 1972 election was mentioned in this movie, Bobby did not think he would live to see that year and sadly he didn't.

    I was born in England 1971. I have moved to a better country... Scotland... even though we are in a union (which I hate) our laws are something I believe Bobby Kennedy would have been proud to have in the US rather than what is now ripping it apart. 'Britain' is a supposed friend to the US but I find it more and moe hard to understand how people ( including our UK goverment .. not our devolved Scots one) have gone from a country we could look up to, to one that is run by a man so abhorant of peoples rights and liberties...who comes to our country to play golf and charge our Scorrish government 5 million pounds to protect him.
    No. He is a narcissistic nasty piece of work.
    Theresa May the uk prime minister is also destroying our once delicate peace (especially in Northern Ireland).... the world is a broken place. We need more like Bobby Kennedy.. who are not frightened to stand up for peace and equality! I despair for my children now 23 and 19 who despair at the world that we have created for them.
    I'm not even sure I want grandchildren... I mean what are we leaving for them?

      They did not fabricate those words. It's historical fact. And they didn't need to make it emotional. For those of us who lived through it, or any compassionate person, it's more than emotional enough.

  • @PoeticAvalanche
    @PoeticAvalanche 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    This movie got it way, way wrong. Bobby Kennedy was shot in the BACK from 1 to 3 inches away, not from in FRONT where Sirhan Sirhan stood firing all 8 shots of his pistol actually missing RFK. More than 8 bullets were found in victims and in the wall, which also obviously proves there was at least a second shooter, the one who actually killed RFK and got away. There was a young kid who photographed some of what happened in the kitchen area but the cops arrested him and stole his film, hiding the evidence ever since if not outright destroying it.
    So if you're looking for history this flick ain't it.

    • @FreeSociety1
      @FreeSociety1 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct. It's amazing that some people are stupid enough to still believe the "lone nut" fraud. Shots were fired all over the kitchen pantry, with five other people wounded in the shooting. The facts are that Robert Kennedy was shot behind the ear (at very close range) by Thane Eugene Cesar who had worked for Lockheed Aircraft in a high security clearance capacity nearby Burbank where he had access to high security areas. Cesar was chosen (somehow) as the security guard that lead Kennedy through the kitchen area of the Ambassador Hotel and to his death. Cesar was also very public and outspoken about his hatred for the Kennedys. He was moonlighting, working for "Ace Security". He'd only just started with the company and yet was placed in charge of security for the area of the hotel through which Robert Kennedy would be lead (as a short cut to his press conference in the Colonial Room). Cesar stood behind Kennedy and to his right. The autopsy showed that all of the shots hitting Kennedy came from behind and from a low angle. In other words, they appeared to come from some who was behind Kennedy and low to the ground. Every single witness to the shooting that night placed Sirhan at least three feet in front of where Senator Kennedy was. There has not been one person who has ever come forward claiming that Sirhan ever got closer. Dr. Thomas Noguchi was the Chief Medical Examiner and Coroner of LA County at the time, and conducted the autopsy on Robert Kennedy. He reported and testified that Kennedy was struck by three bullets and a fourth had passed through his coat without hitting him. All three of the bullets that hit him were fired from behind, one in the right armpit and two behind the right ear. Noguchi testified absolutely unequivocally that the shot that killed Kennedy was fired from a distance which ranged from contact to no more than an inch and a half away. Sirhan was subjected to hypnosis (CIA MKULTRA), and was used as the scapegoat. Documentaries have identified several CIA covert people photographed at the Ambassador Hotel when the crime was committed. There is also the woman wearing a distinct polka-dot dress seen leading Sirhan around by his hand (his controller), that later shouted "we got 'em" after the murder had executed. This was a CIA Hit, with Thane Eugene Cesar the real murderer.
