I love Bryce's Temple Symbol series! I hope I'm not out of line if I add one thing. Even though his series is wonderful at helping you understand many of the temple symbols, I've learned that we can't think this is finished. There are many things that the Lord has revealed to me in the temple that are different from the things Bryce points out. Remember that the things of the temple are best learned by revelation. We must keep our hearts open as we attend, because the Lord will keep on teaching us each time we go, if we are prepared to hear. Thanks so much, Parker and Bryce.

As a Temple worker I take being at the Temple every week very seriously! Our sacred Temple clothing is not allowed in the envelope in front of the Temple by the front desk! Let alone being shown on a TH-cam channel in front of tons of people that are not even members of the church! This is incredibly disturbing that a bunch of church members would even do such a horrible thing! The Temple is sacred and deserves our respect it is God's holy house 🏠 and our symbols need to be kept sacred in a time in the world where nothing is respected anymore! I feel so bad that God has to deal with his children not following his teachings just so they can get views for there channel!🙏🏻God help us! We aren't allowed to take pictures in our chapels either! Because these are sacred places!

I prayed this morning to come across spiritual material online and boom 🙌🏼 I came across this video.
Both of your channels are a blessing. I’m truly excited to learn anything about the temple and the ordinances we perform there.
My sister who was just baptized in December is preparing to enter the temple to do baptisms. Bryce’s “temple symbols” podcast will be such a blessing for her to gain a better understanding of our temple covenants, ordinances and symbolisms in the temple. So Thank-you 😊

I am SO happy that you found this video!! Bryce's temple symbols series is the best thing ever!! It will help your sister so much when she goes to the temple!
His video about the cherubim and the flaming sword is of value to everyone. Not just temple goers. One man commented that he almost harmed himself because of this idea that he had to be perfect. Bryce Dunford does a beautiful job of explaining that Satan tried to take away our days of probation. Since he wasn't allowed to do that, he tries to get us to take away our probation. It is one of my favorite episodes ❤️

As a Temple worker we receive instruction in our meetings before every shift. We are not allowed to take our ordinance clothing in the pack by the front desk at all! I can't believe they are showing sacred clothing for all the world to see , this is not ok to remove the sacredness of our clothing! In a world where nothing is special or sacred.

I think of course temple workers are instructed not to say or Show sacred things as a temple worker or talk about those things in the temple . That’s good your instructions help you to focus on temple things . But our church puts out seminary college type classes books you can buy that explains a lot of temple symbols and clothing . It shows the robes and aprons and explains why you move from rooms . Talks about the garden too and its teachings . Where have you been ?? This is taught very openly . The church also has a video about the clothing and even clothing from the Old Testament days and the vest they wore . I can understand being a temple worker you get told not to discuss things . Which is good .,let the church put out what they want . I’m surprise. Really at how much they did put out . Nothing in this video is wrong or anythjng talked about that can not be shared . Of course there are some things that you do not talk about . And none of them did . Everything talked about here has already been talked about. It helps to understand symbols . Symbols are beautiful and not a secret .

47:33 another very insightful point. The concept of “a principle with a promise” really struck me when I gave us something that isn’t explicitly denied in the word of wisdom. It’s instructive that it doesn’t say a “practice with a promise”. Yes the word of wisdom gives us some examples but it’s not a complete list. It’s up to each individual to determine what things may be enslaving or what nutrients that individual needs

Showing our sacred Temple clothing is not allowed! As a Temple worker it seems that the LDS community has forgotten to keep our sacred ordinance clothing out of view from nonmembers l find this to be very degrading to our Temple clothing and the Lord's house! In the Temple you can't go to the front dest with sacred ordinance clothing! To protect ✨️ 🙏🏻 the sacred nature of our Heavenly Father's holy house! God makes the rules, not man! This is dreadful he's doing this!

@gwengold8154 The church has only shown garments! Our Temple president receives instruction from Salt Lake and we as Temple workers receive direct training from the Temple president, and we are always carefully instructed not to have anyone, show their sacred clothing. In our Temple we have a special hallway to walk through so sisters can walk from the dressing room in sacred clothing ✨️ and not be seen by our youth coming in to do baptisms! This is a serious matter! Sacred ordinance clothing isn't meant to be looked at by nonmembers, it's not meant to be looked at like an everyday object. It's special the Temples are where the Lord walks the hallways with his spirit!

@@stardustgirl2904 I just googled "temple ceremonial clothing" and a bunch of articles came up showing the robe, the apron, the cap, and the rest. One was from January of 2020 and it was on KSL news. Which is run by the church.
One was the "called to serve" channel which is a very faith promoting channel.
I think that your temple president is likely just trying to preserve the sacred nature of the ceremonial clothing. Take a nun's clothing for instance. We have seen that thousands of times in the media and in life. Yet, it is still sacred clothing to them. They would treat it sacredly. But, I don't think that means that it can never be seen. We have been accused of being secret, and from hiding things--even from our own members. The church leaders are trying to combat that terrible narrative while still maintaining the sacred nature of the clothing. It can be a fine line at times, but I still maintain that this podcast did nothing wrong.

A couple of days ago, I heard Elder Peter Johnson of the 70's say to us that our Father's plan is perfect. He desires to bring all of his children home to Him. The eternal unit of that plan is the family.

May I give another perspective of the baptism being compared to birth...
Not many births are unmedicated anymore, so sadly many women miss out on this experience. And, having most of my experience with birth being in out of hospital environments, I've seen and also experienced this myself.
When a baby is born, it has been fully immersed in the amniotic fluid. It is considered clean.
Then, through the blood of the mother it makes its way through the birth canal.
Then, there is a moment in birth where most naturally birthing women will feel what is called the "ring of fire"- the stretching.
(Also, in the births I've experienced, the baby isn't wiped clean- we allow all that wonderfully moisturizing vernix to be rubbed into the baby's skin ;)
So, the baby is immersed in water, touched by blood spilt by its mother, and is then "confirmed" through the ring of fire... like when we describe the burning in our hearts of the Holy Spirit.

I saw the vision of the nature of the eternal round of the promise of Elijah on my mission in the Buenos Aires Temple. At that time the glass wall of baptistry could be seen looking from the small sealing room through the exit doors of the Celestial room.
The temple is all over the scriptures we just need to remember to look for it.

28:51 I had a complete reverse of opinion when I attended the Saint George temple recently and was seeing through a “sexist” lens. What I thought was an inequality and Adam being singled out was in fact Adam honoring Eve.

So many temples are announced and being built far and wide across the globe!!What a profound blessing for all people in the Kingdom!! But please take note that so many temples are so close to nations and peoples where education is not readily available. So many Saints have beautiful, simple faith in Jesus Christ but are not sophisticated. Why digress from the plain and beautifully simple ordinances presented via film and by clear and simple visual demonstration? I see no need to delve so deep where many possess such a simple and non-sophisticated faith focusing on Jesus Christ!!

Thank you! I also believe we learn about the creation bc we are creators and are being taught The Law of Creation. All things are created spiritually before they are created physically. How do we create spiritually? It’s how and what we SEE, SAY and FEEL. Those 3 principles then impact and determine what we DO and then what we BECOME. That is the physical creation. God did the exact same thing. He saw in his mind what he wanted to create, he gave specific instructions (SAY), and he said (SAY)
it was good. As we DO we bring all things into creation and then we repeat the process, line upon line.
So I think there are many reason why we learn about creation. :)

Bryce has pointed out a lot of evocative, compelling, and exciting symbolism, and this is of tremendous value in stimulating our perception and curiosity to build our own connections to the meaning of the Temple and more fully use its power. As I trust he would be the first to also point out, he does not hold keys to declare all the interpretations he presents as definitive and binding for the general membership of the Church. I keep that in mind, for I disagree with the idea of fully equal reciprocity when it comes to protecting each other's hearts. I know that the conceit of marriage as the pinnacle of ultimate exclusive mutual emotional intimacy has been all the rage within the Church culture for the past several decades, but I see that as a worldly influence.
A big part of that worldly influence is the unmooring of Equality and its running rampant, a classic example of a virtue gone mad. In secular society, the mania for equality in the sexes has brought about a crisis of meaning, where people in power are reluctant to even acknowledge the reality of two distinct sexes. There remain qualifications to the equality of the sexes within the Church, and for anyone zealous to bring about full Equality as a necessary step in the Progress of society will, no matter how much you try to placate them with teachings about rib symbolism or anything else, they will sooner or later come back around to knock at these qualifications and call for their abolition.
I refer specifically to the charge for husbands to preside - in the Proclamation on the Family and in the Sealing ordinance; and in another practice in the Temple that I trust I don't have to specify, but it's a sharing of information that only goes one way. Whatever meaning you may find in the symbols, the ritual itself preserves an inequality between what a woman tells a man and what a man tells a woman.
And I am comforted by this, because, again, I disagree with the idea of total reciprocal equality between husband and wife of protecting each other's hearts. The roles of men and women in the Church call us to rise above our nature, but they also work in line with our nature to a very important extent. And it is much more difficult and costly for women to bear with or care about men's deep feelings (especially doubts and fears) than the reverse. Men are called to preside in the family precisely because male human nature (in the muscular, skeletal, nervous, and endocrine systems) is designed to protect. Female human nature is designed to select for prowess, including the ability to protect.
A man who shares too much of his inner world, his heart so to speak: he undermines his wife's trust in his ability to protect, and therefore undermines her feeling of safety with him. Behind all the talk about emotional intimacy and so on, what a woman needs most from a man is to feel safe with him. A man who opens up his heart too much with his wife will fail to meet that need and thus will betray her. And the saddest thing is that he will do so from a misguided sense of meeting some need she supposedly has for emotional intimacy or vulnerability, a misguided sense of equality as a virtue gone mad. She might not admit this betrayal, being under the same spell, but she will be carrying a heavier burden than she needs to, and when the resentment peeks in the door, on its heels will come feminism eager to project and blame the world's ills on men, in vengeance on the man who failed her.

I think of covenants of “cutting a covenant”, so I think of cutting myself and the process of healing. You have the cut, the blood, and the healing. Now think of other words to help describe cutting, blood(cleansing, covering), and healing (reuniting, make one whole, married, bring together). It’s fascinating

Question…….. A former version of the endowment (prior to 1990) used to contain mention of various "penalties" associated with the breaking of the temple covenants. Some people use this fact to claim that the temple encouraged violence or vengeance against those who violated its covenants, or that the Church sought to use fear to motivate members to keep their covenants. One critic of the Church even proposes asking the following question of Mormon politicians as a religious test for those who are running for office,
"Before 1990, the endowment ceremony required members to take an oath of secrecy not to reveal anything that happened in the temple under penalty of death. Did you take that oath?"
    This is from fairlatterdaysaints

This is great. A lot of symbolism has been lost to us as the endowment has changed over the years. For me, something that helped was to study what the endowment was like before all the changes. For example; the signs that we do today used to be penalties because covenants have to be accompanied with penalties. The thumb extended is a knife that we cut ourselves with. And the hand in cupping shape is a bowl for catching blood and then our own entrails. With the penalties removed we have no idea what the current symbols symbolize and we wander around blindly while the older members of the church know because they experienced a different endowment. The symbolism of this is incredible. Thank you for this great resource.

I like that rib teaching . That the man is to protect the woman’s heart . And can also be a nail in a sure place as Jesus is . Another name for Jesus . Yet I’m going to have to say this. No one is perfect I get that . But rarely do I ever see any man protecting a woman’s heart . Mainly always hurting your heart . Especially when they come out over the temple . Too bad all marriages can’t be like this . With both protecting each others hearts . That would be so beautiful . That is what is not so good about marriage because the person you know so well seems to be the one who hurts you the most . Most people don’t last past 20 years let alone eternity . Seems true . Exception of prophets and apostles as husbands and wives . Seems they actually love their wives . And hopefully a few more do too .

I understand your worries, but this is the age of the internet. Almost every human being has a smartphone and/or a computer. There are people who have left the church out there showing every hand clasp and every temple garment and every word uttered in the temple. All presented in mocking ways. You don't have to search for this stuff, it's just out there omnipresent.
I think that combating those voices with good voices is a necessary thing.
