My sister also worked there but you're good you blessed a year she lasted 3 days. She said the management is so toxic and all they do is scream at you especially after hours

Costco was one of the worst jobs I ever had. If you finished closing your section at night you had to stay and help put away front end items left behind. Management were less than human and in the food court they cracked the whip if you made the pizzas "too uniform" or the chicken bakes too long. I recommend NOT working for a business thats that corportate.
The ones here absolutely suck ASS if you are not Hispanic or don’t speak Spanish. The CLIQUES are absolutely insane. You can literally get in trouble over things you didn’t even do, but the higher ups will take the sides of their own 🙄. Thank god for Excedrin extra strength

Security stopped me then implied i stole something for not having the receipt, even asked "what else you hiding" told him it's in the garbage the dude said "then go look for it". I understand your pain. I'm a customer. I remember 1 time I just bought oral b tooth brush heads but decided to return them. Didn't want to walk out the door then walk back in so I went into the return line. The guy who works in return told his co-worker discretely implying that I stole those. My mom had my receipt and walked out the door with her cart so I told them to look into their system. I just bought these! Staff freaking lied and said "since I just bought them" these are not in the system yet. They need the actual receipt. Had to call my mom to come back and bring in the receipt. >=(
Costco pays s^^t. I worked there for a few months in the pharmacy and work culture is similar to Amazon. Full time employees get a yearly bonus but in comparison to other companies Costco pay sucks.
It's actually against policy to shop after hours. It happens, especially if you're a manager, but it's not a "perk". If you do shop after hours you're probably screwing things up for the morning supervisor who will have to figure out what happened after everything was sent in.

Some warehouses do not allow employees to shop after hours. Its by manager decision. Many membership desks close after the entrance door goes down.
