Great one-liners here: "Guys, we're not building violins here." "Don't sweat playing it perfect Play it and love it." This is the philosophy that every music instructor should embrace.

Thank you! I am firmly of the opinion that music is for everyone and everyone can play music! I’m the furthest thing from a virtuoso you will find! I play sloppy, I make mistakes, but love to play and I think everyone should! Thanks so much for watching!

@@ClassicGuitarRockJFL I've been playing (with) this tune for decades and have never looked at how anyone other than Joe plays is until now, preferring instead to figure out how to play it the way it sounds on the record using mostly my ears. I ended up here from the lazy power chords video you mentioned, and I'm glad I did, because I picked up a couple of tasty little morsels from your tutelage here. I am compelled to hit the subscribe button and also, thanks! Funk it up indeed! Imma go do a little of that right now I think, so I can try out what you've bestowed upon me here. 😁👍

In the early 70's the James Gang had a concert in Murfreesboro, TN which is about 20 miles from my childhood home. We went to see the James Gang and when they came out on stage I didn't see Joe Walsh anywhere. He had left the band a few months earlier. Of course the promoters didn't mention that on the radio ads and finding out information about rockers at the time was like looking for Nessie. The concert sucked.

Excellent vid! I have the same "cheapy" guitar but yellow. Really underated guitars.
Its a cool riff and you got the whole vibe of the song (and rock n roll) right. No point doing it if it dont make you smile.
    Keep it up!

Thank you! Actually very low tech setup. I have a little Yamaha THR desk top amp on the British Gain setting. I just run out of the headphone jack into my little USB mixer. It works pretty well. Thanks so much for watching!

@@guitarocd9984 Oh Yeah, Funk 49. I use my Strat through a dimed 1947 Magnatone, I hit the front end of the amp hard enough that the power section just falls down and sounds beautiful. Pretty sure Protective Services would remove that little amp from the home if they knew how much it was being abused..........................

Here's what bugs me the most about this video.
We are being taught a great rock classic by a mediocre skilled guitarist at best..
If you TRULY want to learn this song. Learn it from the song..
    Not this hack
