Chicago Bears fire OC Shane Waldron after nine games | Pro Football Talk | NFL on NBC
/ nflonnbc
Jaxon Smith-Njigba tried to warn the Bears about this.
Wht did Jaxon say? I really don’t know
@@BK12344
He tried to warn the bears about this.
@@BK12344jsn didn't have a good rookie year because Waldron didn't know how to use him. During the off szn he did a interview with hoge and basically wanted to say that it's not gonna go good
It’s like putting a small bandage on a gaping wound. Too little much too late
in 2021 Matt Rhule (Panthers) fired, now Bills OC, Joe Brady. Didn't make a difference. The problem wasn't with Joe Brady.
In addition, drafting Williams #1 was very iffy. His final year in college was disastrous.
1. Who takes the 2022 Heisman winner over the 2023 Heisman winner? Bears
2. Who hires Waldron with an OC resume like this, three years in Seattle, offensive rankings, 2021-18th, 2022-13th, 2023-21st. Bears
3. Who thinks HC Eberflus saying the word "process" in every third sentence in a press conference isnt' blowing smoke up our asses, Bears.
This is the most valid point that I've heard. ----All of these bad moves (hirings trades contracts etc) are on poles. Poles admits that he looks at twiiter. Imho, hes panicking,, after saying that there will need to be patient during the off-season, which make all of this bad news. Because it's showing a lack of stability once again. I bet Caleb won't even be in Chicago once his rookie deal is up
bears can't develop ob's and williams isn't what everyone thought he was
How many Rookie QBS are good Now he's gonna get another offensive coordinator after 9 games These Organizations are messing up QBS Who need to learn
Caleb made huge progress 4 games ago... he's mentally f'ked. He'll shake it and do fine.
Immediate pressure up the middle is a problem... wrs not getting open is a problem... caleb not being decisive is a problem
@@NAT-turners-Revenge crapy play calls is a problem
Bears offense was ranked number 2 in 1985, that wasn't 70 years ago
Remaining schedule....GB (2x), MIN (2x) , DET (2x) , 9'ers, SEA .... yeah...good freakin' luck. This weekend it's GB and 60% of the O-Line is banged up and listed as questionable. What does Caleb see when he is looking at guys open down the field, why is he hesitating? Is he on the Danny Dimes diet? Same issues...
Matt Eberflus said in a statement. "I would like to thank Shane for his efforts and wish him the best moving forward."
"Tell Matt to shove his statements."
- Shane W.
"When you let expectations get out of control, when you let the hype take over."
One of the dumbest takes I've ever heard. So what were the Bears supposed to do to lower expectations and stop the hype? Pass on Caleb Williams and trade DJ Moore?
Good take
Matt Eberflustered.
That’s pretty good .
Christopher Walken Wants His Impression Back Mike Florio😂
As a Bears fan in Chicago, I don't think expectations were high in terms of being a playoff team. I think expectations were high to develop Caleb. If there was consistent improvement and development, we wouldn't have any qualms.
If they can determine that the OC is bad at his job in only 9 games then Caleb is a bust after 9 games.
Apparently, u havent watched his ridiculously BAD play calling 😅.... NO MOTIONS.... NO RBS IN THE BACKFIELD... SCREENS TO SHORTSIDE OF FIELD ETC
It cant get worse. There are numerous former players now analysts wondering wtf Shaking Shane was doing.
Caleb received the playbook back in February... amazing how bad the decision making looks.
The need to improve the o-line. But there is a troubling pattern with Eberflus. Last year with Justin Fields they started off looking a terribly-coached team, and then they looked great, and it continued to be up-and-down. There's something wrong with Eberflus' overall gameplanning where his strategy is either exactly correct or exactly the opposite.
THIS IS THE BEARS CULTURE!
They should have dumped Eberflus during the off-season and started Williams out with a new HC
Drake Maye will turn out the best QB in this draft. He is a Josh Allen/Justin Herbert hybrid.
With his size, mobility and arm strength he's a prototypical bad weather QB. He may eventually surpass Allen depending how he developes. JMO
And Teams and fans wonder why some QBS taken in the first round don't develop? First they should sit for a year to learn
Remember a good to very good coordinator does not mean the same as a head coach. NFL has and is littered with excellent coordinators that were not good head coaches.
Don’t think it is a coach issue it is a Caleb is not mentally tough. He is full of himself. Confidence is one thing but he is completely not self aware. Never him. He will be a bust just like I said before he was drafted. Has zero ability to handle adversity. Can’t go cry to your mom when you lose at this level.
I feel like John Gruden or Cliff Kingsbury would be the perfect coach for the situation. Now they’re not great coaches but they’re good to okay. The Bears just need to be good too okay right now. if Caleb Williams is really that dude he can turn that good to very good and that okay to good.
Good.
and the band plays on *sinks into the ocean*
should have fired Eberflus last offseason and hired Johnson except Ryan Poles is an idiot, he should be gone too for keeping the coach and putting together that shambles of an oline
Beat it florio ! U saying anything so the lions can lose! Go kiins
No clue flues
Matt Eberflub.
😅😂🤠😃😆
Matt Eberflunk.
Shane Waldron basically resurrected Geno Smiths career in Seattle. He coached him to Comeback Player of the Year and a Pro Bowl Quarterback after being a complete wash prior to that. But it's Shane Waldron's fault. Time will tell this story. There's a reason Caleb William's teammates don't help him up off the ground after plays.
You and the media waaaay overhyped CW. Poles ruined the chemistry and culture. Showed no loyalty to players. Justin. Monty. Roquan. And more. Poles and Flus need to go.
If the Bears had taken Jayden Daniel’s Waldron wouldn’t be fired this week.
I disagree. Caleb has talent. But he needs good coaching like all young QBs.
No, they just would’ve ruined Daniels instead of Williams.
@@mcs68419true that. We would of ruined Patrick Mahomes too lol
Thought the bears was winning the superbowl! Williams was horrible in USC in big games. The NFL is full of men trying to feed their family and not red shirt freshman’s.
