    So I just picked this up and got it installed... I will say on the passenger side intake, fitment and clearance is pretty bad. I couldn’t get the coupler to fit over the stock piece 100% so it’s sitting on there maybe 90%. Also the carbon fiber strut brace is pushing down the MAF sensor quite a bit to where I’m worried it may break the sensor once the engine is under load. Sound is pretty awesome but overall I rate the fit and finish at 5/10. I guess you get what you pay for

    • @AutomotiveTherapy
      @AutomotiveTherapy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey thanks for your comment! I actually dealt with the same issue on my passenger side intake. I guarantee that it will fit 100% with some tweaking and adjustments. It needs to sit perfectly and that means twisting the coupling and using different angles for the piping position. I’m sorry it’s giving the same hard time it gave me, but just keep playing around with it and I promise you it will fit properly! Hope that helps :)

    Just put mine on a few days ago haha, noticed I get bit better gas mileage and my exhaust is a bit louder. Best way I can describe is that the car breathes better lol

    • @AutomotiveTherapy

      Curtis Paul nice there you go! Very interesting about MPG I don’t think I paid enough attention to that. But yes the exhaust has more air being pushed out and sounds awesome. Hope you are enjoying them!

    Great vid and the intakes sound great, it's just unfortunate that some performance have to be sacrificed for the sound. Don't know if you track your S55, but heat soak comes a lot faster with open intakes. Again, great vid, intakes sound awesome.

      Thank you! I really wanted to capture the sound in this video. I don’t track my m4 it’s my daily driver too right now so I’m not too worried about heat soak. They are great intakes for the streets.

    You lost all credibility when you thought the best place to put your strut brace was on your roof.

    • @AutomotiveTherapy
      @AutomotiveTherapy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Why? It was gently set down. It’s not like I tossed it on the roof. Anyways I live in an apartment complex that gives me no good spot to set it down outside the garage.

    • @Omgzegermans
      @Omgzegermans 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      AUTOMOTIVE THERAPY Man…. It’s your car so do whatever you want. But there HAD to be a more sensible place to put the strut brace than on a nicely clear coated, super expensive carbon fiber roof. C’mon man! Throw a towel on the roof first if that’s literally your only option for placement!

    • @Omgzegermans
      @Omgzegermans 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That being said, I DO appreciate your video. Sorry for being a dick. That kind of stuff grinds my gears quite a bit. But I did just acquire an F80 M3 and am browsing around to see what people are doing with them.

    • @AutomotiveTherapy
      @AutomotiveTherapy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I totally get it, I’m not too sure why I set it there either, I was being a rookie with filming this video and was moving too fast through the process, my engine is currently taken apart as we speak right now and I have all the strut braces leaned up safely against the garage walls. I’ve never set it on the roof since this video. But anyways congrats on your M3 and welcome to the club, you’ll love these cars and all the potential they have. Definitely subscribe since I’ve literally uploaded most things that people do with these cars.

    • @Omgzegermans
      @Omgzegermans 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      AUTOMOTIVE THERAPY I’ll look through your videos. But until then, I gotta ask why your engine is apart. Did you have a massive failure?
      Also, this isn’t my first M car. I’ve had 4 previous M3s (a couple were gutted racecars), and 5 or 6 Audi S4s and an RS4. 😁
