@johnwooton again, you are the man, and just hearing you describe the rudiment, why it is inverted, and possibly some "feel" that you use to interpret it is a huge benefit to a guy like me who has been playing for a long time but lost track of all my rudiments...Its a thrill to exchange with you, and please don't take my comment as a slight... I never miss a video!
@nameofsam You are right, I never did really introduce the rudiment. I guess I assumed that if you are working on inverted flam taps you probably don't need an introduction. However, I did break it down one hand at a time and the exercises on the Vic Firth site that accompany the video should explain the rudiment in detail.
He never once tells you how to play a flam tap, I love these videos but he needs to take time at the beginning of these videos to introduce the rudiment

Of the 40 PAS rudiments, this is probably my least favorite rudiment to play.
Good Job. Liek the breakdown. Its a tough Rudiment to play well, but aren't they all :)
How did you put the diddles with the flam taps especially with the cheese on it....lol....

5 years late, but he just does one rudiment at a time, so I guess he expects you to know flam taps.
@@j.cordero6965Hi, I'm 9 years late, but if you're learning inverted flam taps, you should already know flam taps lmao.
Hello.
